Actually I think this is a form of self-defence for PSG.

To be honest I think PSG will not make the mistake of keeping Mbappe in the club till next season knowing that it won't be beneficial to the team so the best choice will be to sell him to make more profit then possibly use the money to get another player to help Naymer and Dembele to fight for the next season's champions league trophy. I also think that PSG will stand to lose if they keep Mbappe without his name been included on the list of players for next season, if they don't reduce the price tag on his name so that big clubs can buy him this and many more are some certain they may encounter losses if they allow Mbappe to stay .

PSG will hurt themselves if the club is not able selling mbappe as soon as possible. Look at how big offer came from saudi club. PSG can even in profit by selling him to the saudi club. I don't even know why the club must be blamed when it was not doing something wrong.

Since mbappe is always refusing the proposal that's gonna come to him and how can PSG sell him to another club?
