@KTChampions it’s kinda unfair to compare Messi in his prime while playing for Barcelona, and the current Messi who’s reaching the end of his career but for what’s it worth I too feel that he’s having an excellent season and he’ll only get better if he remains fit.

Furthermore even after they two left Messi stayed back and helped Barcelona win matches, and currently at PSG he’s acting as a provider which shows that he wants to play for the team and not chase individual glory which proves what a great player he is.

Messi is in much better form than last season. And Messi's performance is good in every match.

He gets a better mentality in this season. In the past season, he just joined PSG in very last days before closing of a transfer market and he left Barcelona with big disappointment that all affected his performance. In this season, he did not have similar disappointment in summer preseason training and at beginning of season so he is more ready to play with his best.

Messi's role behind PSG's good performance in every match despite not scoring goals is undeniable. Messi is now PSG's playmaker. Messi strengthened the bond between PSG's midfield and forwards. And now we see Messi playing both midfielder and forward roles.

He is genius and we already saw it in Barcelona. Messi can play at all positions in an attacking system but in PSG, he has changed and played more regularly as a play maker as well as in midfield because he must has that adaption when he becomes older. He must avoid direct physical competitions with other players to avoid injuries and to prolong his career as longest as possible.

If Messi can continue this performance, the Argentina team can qualify for the finals in the World Cup. And can win against Bayern Munich in the Champions League as well. However, if Messi is not in form, PSG will not be able to win against Bayern Munich.

The World Cup will be the last tournament for Messi in Arghentina jersey. I think most of football fans will be happy to see Messi lifting the World Cup trophy in Quatar. He deserves to get it but in football, many great players did not achieve trophies they wanted.

PSG have a good advantage over Bayern Munich at the moment. I don't think PSG will be so weak compared to Bayern Munich who made it to the last 16 with such good form, so this match will definitely be tighter than the previous match in the group stage.

I still haven't seen what the revival moment for Marseille will be in this regard.
They still haven't been able to make this good enough and despite a win with Lyon in the previous week but it was still a narrow win and they were still cornered at the time just holding on.

Right now both teams are on level in quality, but performance is clearly favouring Monaco which is doing good for the last few weeks and now having good spot after poor start of this season and Marseille is suffering badly in last few matches with they have first won against Lyon which was also not impressive because they win this match by 1 - 0.

Here I agreed with you it's never been ideal to compare players like these on different era's even right now Messi is old but still have strong companions and can do many things which are possible for them in current season for their team but right now main focus is World cup instead of things like these because now we are just few days away from world cup and for the Champions League matches we hare nearly three months and things could be changed, and we can expect any things during this time period which also can create problems for many teams.

This match is difficult to predict which team will win, because these two teams are not very stable so any result for them is still possible.
But one thing that is certain for me is that Monaco will not be able to end the match with clean sheets, because Monaco's defense in my opinion is not very good. At least it is also evident from the number of goals that Monaco has conceded, which is higher than Marseille.

I agree with your point of view. In fact the Ligue 1 is a pretty easy league for PSG. Hence we shouldn't be very surprised with the big wins PSG get. In the end they are already far stronger than literally every single one of the teams remaining. So Messi's scoring multiple goals or making several assists in a match against a weak team shouldn't be praised too much. He is Messi and this isn't a difficult job to do for him in this kind of comfortable matches. Of course I'm not saying these to underestimate Messi but you get my point.

I would respect such news if he does the same against one of the biggest teams in the Champions League for example. As a result the media should act the same against both incidents. No matter Messi or Gnabry does the same against a weaker team, the media should write similar things without exaggerating one of them.
