After all, PSG is so far the only unbeaten team in Ligue 1 and of course, it is difficult for any other team in Ligue 1 to take over the top spot in place of PSG.
Also, even though Messi and Neymar didn't play full time, I don't think they played badly. Because I personally believe they still have a contribution to the team even though they didn't score goals and assists in yesterday's match against Auxerre.

Nobody knows about Lens, whether they can be consistent or not because even, last season Lens could only finish in seventh place. So I think there is no guarantee for Lens to be consistent throughout this season to threaten PSG's position at the top of the standings.
If later Lens suddenly experiences a decline in performance then of course PSG will be more comfortable at the top of the standings, and I think that is very likely to happen.

There is no club in Ligue 1 that can compete with PSG. However, there are several renowned clubs in Ligue 1 such as Lille, Lyon and Marseille. And the performance of these clubs is quite good. Also losing the truck after the World Cup will make it difficult for PSG to win the title. Because second place Lens is only 5 points behind PSG. I agree with you. PSG's focus is not Ligue 1 right now. They are now fully focused on the Champions League. However, there is no reason to think that they will perform poorly in Ligue 1 matches. Ligue 1 teams are weaker than PSG. So even if PSG put in a bit of a poor performance, they won't lose the top spot in the points table. It wouldn't be surprising if PSG won both the Champions League and Ligue 1 titles.

That can happen this season, they will win the Ligue 1 title that is for sure, i do not feel there is a team that can stop them from winning that one, with Messi, Neymar and Mbappe playing so good, what brings competition in a league is how strong the other clubs are, and no other club in the Ligue 1 is close to being as strong as psg, so they are surely going to win that one. The one i am not sure about is the champions league title, they have a real battle in the round of 16 versus bayern munich, if they win bayern they may get to the final, when a club succeeds against a very tough opponent it helps them to play better as they go on, so if psg manage to beat bayern, they may make it to the champions league final and win it, but winning bayern is not easy to do.

They don't even have to focus on Ligue 1 anymore. The only thing they should care about now is Bayern Munich, because if they win that game they will keep on facing great teams and first it's quarter finals then semi finals and then final and that will be a big deal but none of that matters for Ligue 1 because they are really great at ligue 1 and there is no other team in the league right now that could fight against them to win the title.

Not only they are good, they also dominate, meaning they don't "barely win" games, they win like with 4-5 goal differences when they are on their day. Which is why they are really good and would only care about UCL at this point.

PSG for Ligue 1 regardless of their focus or not the result will be the same. It's not too surprising if they rule out Ligue 1, especially since their main focus is still the Champions League which will obviously have a big game later.
Actually I expected more in the group stage but it's a shame they weren't so lucky because they had to finish as runners up and now have to face Bayern who obviously are a big club from another farmers' league.
Now it's just a matter of seeing whether they can or are only able to dominate in Ligue 1 like last season.

Isn't this a definite thing because regardless of anything and however some big clubs in Ligue 1 played and led at the start of the season in the end it was still PSG who won.
Other teams in Ligue 1 are only able to make moves in the top 2 to 5 positions in order to qualify for the Champions League and Europa League zones but not by making a breakthrough.

The competition in Ligue 1 is almost the same as the bundesliga where there is only one club that dominates in the league, so far PSG are still dominating and it looks like it will happen for the next few seasons until there is another club that is really strong financially, I totally agree with what are you saying, because no team in ligue 1 is really strong until the end of the season, some teams in ligue 1 do often provide competition but slowly they start to fall behind and as usual PSG will end the end of season at the top by leaving their rivals with big difference in points.

Even now I think that LOSC won the championship a few seasons ago and this was just luck for LOSC who played well after that but still dominated again as usual.
The initial rivalry was fair enough but neither club ultimately became consistent all the way to the end. This season I expected a lot from Marseille at the start but they have had an inconsistency at the start of the season which has left them far behind now.

What I saw in this match was a lot of Troyes players in their defensive area.
Even if we look at this match all the Troyes players are in their own defensive area helping to guard the defense and of course PSG clearly need attacks with long-range shots like that.
On the other hand Messi's kick was really really cool and I was happy to see that beautiful goal.

To be honest, I'm not that interested in the French league (Ligue 1) because what we know is that PSG will always be a club that has been confirmed as a champion in the League (Ligue 1), even though several clubs (Ligue 1) have the ability to surpass PSG but when PSG bring in several of his star players last year, it made it difficult for all clubs to face PSG, because since Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi and Lionel Messi, were brought in by PSG to make the defense even stronger and sharper for PSG's attackers and defense, this is what creates a silhouette for all Clubs (Ligue 1) to balance PSG's game, only outside clubs can balance PSG's pattern of play, because of the several matches that brought PSG together with Bayern Munich in the last 16 of the Champions League, in my opinion this is a comparable opponent for PSG to face rather than the team team (Ligue 1), not intending to belittle the club (Ligue 1), but seeing the reality in the current standings, it is proof, this imbalance in (Ligue 1)..

Messi is individually doing better than Ronaldo in their respective clubs this season. And by January I think Messi will still do better because Ronaldo has on his own put his career in Manchester United in jeopardy which means he will either have to officially apologize to the club to remain by January or to find another team he would join.
No matter the form of these two great players whenever they are in international football I always believe Portugal to be ahead of Argentina even if it doesn't happen often. For this WC I look upto Portugal to perform better than Argentina.

after the world cup was over, the last 16 of the champions league started again. and PSG will meet equally strong opponents, it will not be easy for PSG to overthrow Bayern Munich even though PSG has the advantage of playing as the home team in the first leg. IMO, the round of 16 will be the real test for PSG against Bayern Munich later.

I agree with you that Messi still has an attitude that I think should be discarded immediately. For example when the team is behind him, he always displays facial expressions that don't build enthusiasm for other players, that's what I think distinguishes him from Ronaldo. He should be able to motivate his team-mates more when he loses and if he can do so I'm sure he can inspire other players.

It will be interesting to see how PSG play after (hopefully) they are sent home from the Champions League by Bayern. For many PSG players (Mbappe, for example), this will be a severe psychological blow and, in fact, the end of the season. The paradox is that there will be many games ahead in Ligue 1 and maybe PSG will perform much worse in this scenario. Compare to himself first, he actually has better performance than what he did in the past season. Compares to Ronaldo, Messi have better appearances and better performance than Ronaldo. It lasts from clubs to national teams for two players. This season is totally disappointed for Ronaldo but he still has World Cup to fight.

Bayern is weaker than a few seasons ago when they won Champions League but they are at same level of PSG. I can not pick what team will win after two matches. Maybe I don't make any prediction here, just wait for their matches and enjoy.

PSG will have to see how Messi comes back after World Cup as they need his best. This season, Messi becomes more important for PSG as we saw that in matches without Messi, PSG attacking system is very boring and has less powerful attack.
