You both have valid points. Argentina wouldn't be here if Messi didn't do all those things. Their whole gameplay is based on him, even squad choices were made according to that game plan. We can't say same thing about France though. Remove Mbappe and you will still have a great team and a chance to play in the final. There should be no mockery directed at someone for losing a game. Especially national team players should be more sensitive. Such mockery can only lead to negative criticism. I think a lot of people confuse the style of Mbappé with the style of Messi. If we actually analyze both of them, we will be able to see that Lionel Messi is talented naturally. He doesn’t need to have great speed or physicality to make plays. But on the other hand in Mbappé needs pace and physicality. Because those are the two main weapons of him. If you take away the pace of Mbappé I don’t think he has much to offer. And we cannot differentiate or compare a player with Messi with goals. Lionel Messi can provide a lot to the team by just walking.

We see a lot of times that he is just walking in the field. But he is scanning the whole field at that time. He knows he does not have the agility or stamina he had when he was young. So he scans the field for potential gaps and potential weak links in the defense for the opponent.

I don't think that Mbappe should pay attention to such a bug and give this clown even more "importance". It's rather ironic that Mbappe will be written into the history of football as a big name, while Martinez will still remain a clown and, compared to Mbappe, a no-name.
