Because their current rivals are a little weak team. Clermont had a bad season last year. This year they will fight to stay in League 1 again. Honestly, I didn't expect to see Ajaccio scoring today especially in the first half after receiving 2 goals.. I still wonder how Lyon goalkeeper was thinking when he did that weird jump apart from being the first carded player in Ligue 1!
At the end Lyon were able to get 3 points and indeed a random goal would be a catastrophic start for them.

It's hard to call a draw in the first round a disaster, it's just the beginning. Well, if you look at Lyon’s prospects in Ligue 1, then let’s be honest, they won’t be able to fight PSG for the title, there will be no competitor for PSG in the League, unless Galtier makes the team’s game so terrible (I’m joking). I absolutely don’t think that PSG is going to lose this match in any situation. Even if PSG plays their second team, they are going to be still stronger compared to Claremont. Actually, I am going to share something. I feel like talking about the Ligue-1 is absolutely a waste of time, well not talking about the whole Ligue-1 but talking about PSG in the league one competition is certainly a waste of time. 49 minutes have been played and it looks like PSG is going to win this match easily. They have already scored three goals. It is good to see Neymar scoring . But I would really like to see Messi score as well. He did not have a good last season.

The Strasbourg versus Monaco match was quite predictable. Obviously, Monaco was the better thing going into this match. But I did not think that Monaco will not be able to keep a clean sheet.

Lyon is not as good as they used to be once upon a time, this game was exactly how it suppose to be and nothing more. I would say that the best thing to see here is the fact that game was entertaining and that matters, as long as it is entertaining there isn't anything else to see.

Lyon or Ajaccio, in the end it is not really a big deal because we shouldn't be really considering the current levels of teams as permanent, it is just the first week and everything could change and on any first week game on any league, anything could happen and we should be welcoming that since it's common. PSG could end up losing like 3 in a row from now on, and I wouldn't be shocked, as long as they win the title in the end.

PSG ran away easily with a 5 nil victory over Clermont, Neymar was at his mesmerising best along side Lionel Messi who seemed to be perfectly fit at the moment. Messi with two goals, and Neymar was more at the causing damage with his set of assists. You've got to pity Clermont's keeper he made 7 impressive saves despite given up 5 goals, If not, this so easily could have gone double digits.

Pretty clear that psg wanted to win this match fast. But let's face it, the championship is no longer a challenge for this team. Supporters don't even expect a championship anymore, it's something that's a certainty. They can become champions in the league winning all matches, if they don't win the Champions league again then it's a failed year. But this thread is about the competition. It's just a matter of time to see which teams can hook up with PSG for as long as possible.
