French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1)

It is very clear that Paris Saint Germain's main goal is to bring in a lot of star players because they want to win the Champions League trophy. But so far their plans have not worked out so well and they are still having trouble making it happen. I won't be surprised when in the transfer market they bring in Cristiano Ronaldo to join them. They don't care about the money they will spend to get the players they want. But keep in mind that money does not guarantee to bring them a title.

Of course, their main goal is to win the Champions League. In the France League, they are sure to be winners, so far they have always dominated and there is no other club as strong as PSG there. So, the competition is not too tight. But this is different if in the Champions League. They have to face various strong clubs in Europe so however, so they also have to strengthen their squad to become winners. However, as has happened so far, they failed again even though there were many strong players there. But for this season, we still don't know the result, it will be different if they manage to win their first match in round 16 later. However, didn't some of their players also play in the World Cup?
But, to bring Ronaldo to PSG? I don't think this will be, there are so many superstars payers there and this may not be good enough to unity them like in  the gallery.

Mbappe plays better than Ronaldo now because Ronaldo is declining in age and Messi will not be benched just for him to play. PSG don't need to add to their existing trouble by signing another star player who is of the same rating with what the currently have in their squad. Right now, PSG is having most lethal attack in European clubs and with this current situation there is no chance for Ronaldo to be part of this club even in future there is no way they will take any risk like this because he is already done his prime and instead of bringing him and giving luxury salary they can go anyone from new generation player which could be contributed better than Ronaldo even he is still one of the most valuable players, but now things are drastically change, and they can't afford things like these.

PSG is also going to be had changes if their current system fails to bring Champions League title in this season because management is already not happy, and they are not going to wait for another season with most chances if we have no title in this season then surely management is going to put this club on sell.

I think you are wrong as Mbappe and Neymar's position is the most solid at PSG (especially after Neymar returned to a good level). They are young (even Neymar) and can benefit the club for at least 3-4 years. Messi is already old and I wouldn't be surprised if they replace him with a less stellar but more useful player like Casemiro/Tchouameni/Muller. I don't mean specific players, but the style of the game.

The future of PSG is uncertain at this point. I think if they are able to perform well and bring the Champions League trophy these players will probably think about staying.

Due to Champions League Marseille were having hard pressure so which was surely having big impact on their performance in Ligue 1 as well but now after their exit their concentration is all on here which is surely going to have big impact even now competition is not easy because Monaco, Marseille, Rennes and Lens all are fighting and have equal chance, but Marseille is surely better side which have good experienced and quality players which can give them.

French League is surely on development even we have no challenge for PSG but for other top spots few teams are giving their best and trying to improve quality which will give them good benefit specially teams like Monaco and Marseille having good chance but sadly Lille, Nice and Lyon these are slipping which is not normal for them.

Not like they had to focus on UCL too much if you ask me, they are not a great team to win it all, which means the best they were hoping for would be go as far as you can and eventually lose. Instead of doing, if they can focus on being second every single year, like build a team that would be "clear" second best team, no doubt remaining, that means they will make a ton of money from both the league and also from UCL each year and players will want to come there to play in UCL every year.

How many teams in the world played in UCL group stages without ever missing it in the past 10 years? Maybe like a dozen of them? I do not know but not a ton, most miss it once or twice, be the team that does it for France along with PSG.

Honestly, we have heard a lot of promises from PSG before as well. But they have never lived up to their expectations.

In the last season, PSG also had shown some great promises with a great squad. But the problem is they did not do anything. Well, they did the win league title which is not an achievement at all.

So, I have actually lost my trust in PSG. And Lionel Messi has very little time left in his career. So, I don’t see why he would stay in PSG and basically waste his time when he cannot win anything with this team. A senior player is supposed to be angry at the team management when they are giving a kid more powers and authority which is not good for any team at all.

PSG and its trio is surely having just one purpose, and it's clear from Messi's arrival from Barcelona to PSG, and they are doing their best from first day which is having not good result for them but still they are doing their best which mean they can achieve this because now their trio is already having good combination which is giving them positive results and now after three months they are going to face Bayern Munich which is also one of the best in business and their recent record is also having all details about their strength and aims.

But, here now we have to praise PSG which is having few edges against their opponents even in last few matches in Champions League they fail to keep their momentum, but hopefully things could be positive, and they could be able to have better results in this season which will give them better return of this positive development.
