Monaco and Marseille both did a really good job last week by making use of the point loss PSG made.    It was a big surprise though to see PSG drawing 2 times in a row. They were very dominant against Auxerre but couldn't make it.

Monaco could have been the 2nd placed team now if they were more productive. Marseille have 31 goals while they have 24 so far. They have a better defense maybe but they had better start scoring more goals regularly.

I really admire Marseille's rising in the league by the way.    They had a horrible season the last time. They can finally qualify for a tournament if they don't mess up.

They seem have no motivation to win, no hunger to score a lot, and same problem game after game. They always pass the ball backwards, and i see nothing improved. This team is just getting worsen, and doubting them to win the game against Salzburg.

It seems to me PSG players bored to always win the competition. So they think even playing without motivation could still give them League one trophy. What a pathetic league.

The fact that only one team dominates the league makes the league very ordinary. PSG players no longer want to win because they have won so easily in the matches so far. PSG's declines like this make other teams even more hungry, so it can be said that it is good for the league. Even if the players do not play matches with many goals, they win and PSG players do not try very hard to stay in first place.

After failing to beat Nantes at home last two weekends, I was very surprised to see that Paris Saint Germaine again didn't win at Auxerre last weekend. I was happy to see that both Marseille and Monaco took full advantage of PSG's poor result to reduce their points difference behind the French Ligue 1 leaders to just five points.

My problem now with the second and third placed teams in the French league who currently have 29 points each from 14 games is their inconsistency. Hopefully, they will continue to win games so they can catch up with PSG and make the league more interesting for football fans.

Drawing two games has really affected the gap the Ligue One champions have had over the second placed Olympique de Marseille. Currently the game between Marseille and St-Étienne is ongoing and the visitors are winning by one goal. They have just ended the first half and if the game finally ends this way Marseille would have successfully closed the gap between them and the league leader to five. With this we might end up having a competitive season and maybe have a new Ligue One champions.

I doubt if Marseille will be able to stay ahead till the end of the season. The game ended in the favor of Marseille winning by two goals, they are now away from PSG by just five points which will require they win two games and PSG loosing the two in a row aswell, this is a reality we don't believe can happen almost immediately and that was why I started by saying Marseille was not going to be able to stay ahead of PSG just like that, even to the point where they are going to seen as the winners of the league title this season.

Marseille is surely currently in the best shape and have good chance of creating problems for the leaders PSG but still they are not in touch to have title because their inconsistency and quality is not near the PSG which is leading by 5 points with things can take changes in coming weeks, but this could be not easy for any team to have chance at the top until end of this season.

PSG is still one of the best team in Ligue 1 with no defeat in 14th rounds even their attack is not good but still they are having 37 goals scored and conceded only 11 which are least in this season we can expect good changes in next half of the season as they are going to improve their attack in January window which could be help them for having better results and improved results.

I don't know the reason why some people say PSG's performance this season in Ligue 1 is so bad, even though PSG was unbeaten until week 14 even though they only won 10 matches. Just because of a draw some people say it is bad, but the fact is that no team can maintain its run without a draw in a season.

PSG are unbeaten so far in Ligue 1, while I think they were really unlucky in their last game against Auxerre. PSG fired more than 20 shots and 11 of them were on target, but no goals were scored due to a great performance from the Auxerre goalkeeper. So I really suspect that some of the people who assume that are people who don't like PSG in any way, so he will obviously lead opinions and continue to say bad things which are then exaggerated.

I also agree that two draws is no big deal considering that the league is still young and there are more games to play. But five points advantage is not also too wide since three more draws can make them lose their first place. If Luis Enrique don't coordinate his players to start wining games, it might not end well for them.

The UEFA champions league has been the French side's nightmare. They have managed to scoop four points from five games. Currently in the 25th position, two points below defending Champions Real Madrid. I am doubting If this year will be their lucky year because in my views they might not qualify for the group stage.

Because in Ligue 1, there is no team as strong as PSG. even without star players with names as big as Messi or Mbappe, they still dominate Ligue 1. if there is a team that threatens, it must be Marseille and Monaco, but with current points difference PSG does not need to worry too much. They just need to be very serious about the Champions League. They have enough difficulty there, facing strong teams that surprised them. They still have the potential to qualify, but hopefully, they can advance to the next round.

I think even the club management is no longer motivated to win Ligue 1 because they are almost certain to get it every season. It even seems like winning Ligue 1 is no longer an achievement that Luis Enrique as the head coach should be proud of. I mean the club management certainly wants to see PSG able to get a good performance in the UCL. Last season they managed to get through to the semifinals and I think that was a very good achievement for PSG. Unfortunately this season with the new UCL format they are in 25th place in the standings. With 3 matches left their only chance is to try to qualify for the playoffs.

Since their chances of making it into the top eight teams are very low, the main goal will be to make it into the top 24 teams and play in the playoffs. After that, they need to prepare well to be superior to their opponents in the playoffs. They fell far short of expectations in the Champions League this year. The leadership position in the French league is not very important. What really matters is Paris Saint-Germain's success in the Champions League. If they win the Champions League trophy, they won't get any backlash even if they lose the French league. They came very close to that last year, but it didn't happen.

Their poor performance in the Champions League eventually carried over to their performance in Ligue 1 and actually when it comes to domestic competition it's great but not so great for the fans

Enrique and PSG's decision to not look for an alternative to Mbappe and try to find a new style with the utilization of young players seems to have not gone too well this season. Although it cannot be denied that for now their chances are still quite large, it cannot be denied that their problems are now quite complex because indeed the performance in Ligue 1 is slowly starting to erode with the current conditions where their mentality which is quite destroyed in the Champions League must now be carried over in Ligue 1.

I was hopeful for Marseille and Monaco, but it seems that other teams than Paris Saint-Germain do not have much chance of winning the championship. Monaco and Marseille suffered surprise defeats. They lost unexpected points. Paris Saint-Germain continues to be a little more professional. As always, they are trying to dominate the French league steadily. The Champions League is important for them and they continue on this path. Injuries are the biggest factors affecting a team. It is very lucky for Paris Saint-Germain not to have serious injuries.

Getting 2 draws when facing a team that is below the standings is certainly a very disappointing result. and for the next match in the French league 1, PSG will face a fairly difficult team, namely Auxerre Lyon and Monaco which are teams in the top 10 of the standings. and if in the next match PSG cannot win or even lose, it can be concluded that the team is really experiencing a decline in performance when on the field.

PSG will play against Red Bull in the next match of the Champions League. PSG is currently in 25th position in the Champions League. PSG will have to play well in every next match of the Champions League. Otherwise, PSG will not be able to survive in the competition on the Champions League platform.

No matter if PSG couldn't win recently in the games we saw from this team. Sometimes even a good and strong team will lose points and that's normal to see PSG lose points in the French league even after all the money they spent so far in this league and all the players they have.

I doubt that PSG will be abandoned by those Qatari owners. Sports washing is one of the most important activities those people use to deflect from other things they do and in relative terms, it doesn't cost them that much money. It's not big money for them, but it does contribute a great deal as to how they are perceived in public when they play in UEFA competitions and while Ligue 1 is not the best league for sure, the French national team definitely is among the best teams in the world and owning a French club like PSG still has value.

But right now they don't have a player like Mbappe, who was really able to draw a ton of attention to PSG. At the same time it is a waste of time for players like him if they want to achieve the greatest possible success besides the money they are making. If it wasn't for the money, I doubt that Mbappe would have stayed for so long in Ligue 1.

To come up  with an amount, I guess that the football club costs the Qataris like $500 million a year and if they were to one day leave the club, they could still sell it. Hard to tell what the club's value is, but I think Chelsea was worth like $4 billion or so when Abramowitch had to sell it. I don't know if PSG can be compared to Chelsea.

lol, you are very funny bro, is there really any players who are bored of winning? if there are any, why are they at PSG who always dominate the title? Of course they want to win and are not tired of continuing to win trophies even though it is only a domestic trophy. It doesn't make sense if they are bored, maybe they are just a little tired and the recent draws were not intentionally done by them because to these 2 draws, the points difference with Marseille is getting closer, they must not lose any more points in the next match, Marseille is ambitious to be able to provide fierce competition to PSG at the top of the standings.

There's no definitive answer, but Marseille is in the right momentum to match PSG points or even overtake them. Luis Enrique squad will face two tough matches in Ligue 1, against Lyon and AS Monaco. We understand that PSG will be more focused on their Champions League matches, as they aim to secure a place in the playoffs. So I think, situationally, this is the best opportunity for any Ligue 1 contender to surpass PSG, even though the chances are slim. Whatever the scenario that will happen in the future, even though PSG will continue to dominate, at least the current competition makes Ligue 1 more lively.

I doubt that would happen, I can see why people may think like that but I really doubt that will happen. I think it's clear that we are going to probably see how things will change, and PSG will start to win, they are not a team that is used to losing points for too many games in a row, they will eventually get that win. Obviously bigger shocks do happen in football, look at City and how they failed to win for so long, I mean they have just one win out of 7 games or something like that, if PSG has a period like that too, then yeah you are right Marseille could pass PSG in that situation.

But premier league is insanely competitive, even Aston Villa may win Ligue 1, or at least would be fighting for a title, whereas Ligue 1 is simple, hence why they call it farmers league. I would say PSG will not have that kind of bad stretch, they had two ties, which is enough, they will probably go back to winning now, and will not let Marseille get any closer at all.

It is indeed boring to keep watching or following a league when you already know how it will end. It makes the French League uninteresting. I am supporting more Ligue One clubs to keep improving their performance and dethrone Les Parisiens.

With their level of play in the UEFA Champions League, Luis Enrique might soon be sacked. The club is in the elimination place after collecting four points in five matches. The owners of PSG will not tolerate such a disgraceful appearance.

The players will be surprised and disappointed if they understate the clubs in League One. It they fail to work hard, they might not win this time.

Lens won 2-0 against a weak opponent.Lens was a bit far from his performance last season.Lens played better than his opponent in this match and deserved to win.Montpellier looks like they will struggle in the relegation pot this season.They are currently at the bottom of the league.
Nantes ended their bad run and managed to defeat Rennes with a goal in the last minutes.Nantes made good use of the fact that their opponent played with 1 man less and managed to equalize their points with their opponent by winning the match.
