Bookmakers are currently pricing the title race as follows:

PSG - 1.04

Lens - 15.0

PSG's odds seem absurd given the risk that just one draw and one loss in the head-to-head match could deprive PSG of the title. If I were to bet, I would bet on Lens, although even here the bookmakers could be more generous. But it's still more pleasant to aim at 1400% than at 4%  Plus, losing a small amount of money on a risky bet doesn't seem as nerve-wracking as risking a large amount of money on a "safe" one.

It's mostly about people not betting on Lens. Oddmakers do not make up these numbers out of their heads, they make it up based on what people bet on. If the whole world bets on PSG and only a few people bets on Lens, then they can't give a rate based on that. Plus, in a few months the leagues are over, and you are getting basically 4% return on your bet, if you do that with Bitcoin, there is absolutely nothing in the world, no other place, no other possibility, where you could get 4% more bitcoin for your bitcoin in a few months.

Paris Saint Germain can still drop points before they finish the remaining matches of the season, Lens can still have another opportunity to top the table but they will still give it up for Paris Saint Germain because they have done that about a couple of times. Paris Saint Germain is targeting to win the Champions League back-to-back so they will definitely divide their attention to both the Ligue 1 and the Champions League games. Lens is not a trusted team otherwise i would have loved to see them win the title instead of Paris Saint Germain.

If the request of PSG is not granted in the league for some of their matches to be postponed they will have issues winning the league this time because of Lens, the chances are there for PSG to drop points in their remaining games if they will be having a tight fixture in the champions League and the league games Lens having the league matches as their only focus can make use of the opportunity to go back to the top of the table and this time it will be hard for PSG to overtake them again because of the closeness in their points. You don't have to trust Lens to believe that they has tried this season with the level of players they have but PSG should be careful if nut they may lose both the league and the champions League trophy.

Based on the number of engagements that PSG is involved in I think it is possible that they could still concede a couple of defeats before the season finally comes to an end, PSG are chasing the UCL and that's enough reason for them to drop points, I know the French league1 would give PSG some preferential treatments that could allow PSG play their matches on different dates that aren't in conformity with their real match days at least to help them perform better in the UCL but this doesn't mean PSG wouldn't flop, I believe the pressure will still be there as long as the title race is still there and the point difference isn't wide enough, PSG might still have some difficulties at the end.

Lens currently trails PSG by one point in the standings and they could still be four points behind PSG as PSG has a game in hand plus Lens faces PSG in their next two matches. This match will certainly be crucial for both teams, but considering the depth of their squads PSG remains the favorite even playing away from home as Lens isn't strong enough to defeat PSG which boasts many star players.

PSG boasts superior squad depth compared to other teams in Ligue 1, including Lens, their current rivals. PSG won't be worried about the upcoming Champions League match as they have a strong squad making it easier for Luis Enrique to rotate players. Furthermore, PSG still has one match in hand having played 26 matches while Lens has played 27 and currently holds a one-point lead over Lens. If PSG wins this match, the gap will increase to four points. Furthermore, PSG and Lens face off in early April giving PSG the opportunity to further widen their lead over Lens and focus on the Champions League.

Unless Lens can beat PSG in that match the Ligue 1 competition will likely be tight again. But for some reason, I'm very optimistic that PSG can win Ligue 1, despite the pressure from Lens. And I'm pessimistic about Lens winning the League One trophy because at their current level Lens will struggle to be consistent in the remaining matches. Especially since Lens still faces tough opponents like Lille, PSG, Toulouse and Lyon.

Lens can't go on to just win the league unbeaten for the rest of the season, they will lose, and when that happens PSG will have even more chances. I guarantee you, if we calculated the difference at zero points, even for the rest of the season PSG will do better.

Judging by the current condition of outright betting for Ligue 1, it seems the bookmakers are very confident that Paris Saint-Germain will win the league. We can see in the image below that Paris Saint-Germain only gets @1,03, RC Lens gets @15,00 & Marseille gets @151,00.

Bookmakers have logical reasons for being so confident that PSG will win the Ligue 1 trophy because looking at PSG's performance, there is no team that can really pose a threat to them. Even though Lens are only 1 point behind them, they are not a threat because PSG will most likely widen the point gap and make it more difficult for Lens to catch up. Lens are also likely to drop points in their remaining matches, so PSG has a high chance of winning the trophy.

I don't think I can bet on Lens winning the league especially with how the league 1 managing body are postponing league matches for PSG to rest whenever they are due to play champions league match. We saw that in the round of 16, and it might continue in the next phase, and that doesn't look good for Lens.

PSG are too strong, dominating and experienced in Ligue 1 title competition and they have shown that in more than last one decade. In this season, they don't create too big difference against other competitors but they are still controlling the title competition. With one match less than Lens, if they win that match, they will create four points more than Lens with same total matches and that will become very safe gap for PSG to run toward the title quite easily.

The fact is that out of the 7 remaining league matches, they have tough challenges in 4 of them, those matches are:

1. Lille - RC Lens
2. Lens - Paris Saint-Germain
3. Nice - Lens
4. Olympique Lyon - Lens

Lens with this very difficult fixture and possible four points less than PSG will likely be very hopelessly in the title competition with PSG. Only with 4 points less, they are already hopeless in the race but if they lose a direct match with PSG, it will be the early ending for their fight for the title while it might even end before that big clash between two title competitors.

With Lens and these four difficult matches, they will have very high risk of losing points and with current status, losing more points mean dropping the title.

Sometimes I wonder why there is only one rich club in the Ligue 1. Why is it that the other clubs are not attracting rich investors that will also pump money into those clubs so they will equally be strong clubs that can be able to rival PSG on and off the field, thereby making the league more competitive and more interesting for the fans to watch and equally attract more global audience. Is very tiring to always know the winner of a league trophy even when the season haven’t started.

Sometimes I wonder why there is only one rich club in the Ligue 1. Why is it that the other clubs are not attracting rich investors that will also pump money into those clubs so they will equally be strong clubs that can be able to rival PSG on and off the field, thereby making the league more competitive and more interesting for the fans to watch and equally attract more global audience. Is very tiring to always know the winner of a league trophy even when the season haven’t started.

I think they believe they can't create a budget that can compete with Paris Saint-Germain. And they're not wrong, because Paris Saint-Germain's budget is measured in billions of dollars. The income from France isn't enough for that. That's why wealthy businessmen usually prefer the Premier League, which has higher revenue. Why not? PSG hasn’t been as consistent lately compared to last season. So it makes sense that anyone would be willing to take a shot on Lens winning the title this season. Even though most people still believe in PSG’s dominance, I personally hope this is the season where another team like Lens can break that streak and bring something fresh to the league. It would definitely make things a lot more interesting instead of the usual predictable outcome.

The worse that can happen will be that PSG may win with a slim margin but it is very likely they can comw back and be able to win the title displacing Lens. But then I want to believe PSG will not be taking things for granted knowing they may also loose out in the championship should they neglect it for too long and allow Lens build up the gap well enough to deny them the winning.

i are calm about the fact that they will win the championship, in fact i are surprised that they still haven't taken many points away from the goal, they're die-hards and they sell dearly, which i honestly didn't expect but they know how to be truly fearless and strong, no one expected that this team would resist for so long.
