Manchester City have no reason not to retain the English Premier league this season. They currently have an army of the best players in the EPL. Erling Haaland is one of their best signings. This young star has the pace, positioning and accuracy. Although he missed some clear chances but he redeemed himself by those two goals. I would advice him not to put much pressure on himself to impress the club and fans because it could be counter productive. This is because I observed  that he was always overstretching himself to score, even when it was obvious that the pass was not meant for him. West Ham also did a very good job because with quality of players Manchester City has, the goal margin would have been more.    

In the inaugural match Manchester City were able to win the game and lock in 3 points, it was clear the performance of the team and new players, although there were some who were not optimal in that match, speed and accuracy were advantages for Erling Haaland, control of the ball was held by Manchester City, it was clear they had perfect squad this season, the position of the players who are installed are able to maintain their respective duties, so that Manchester City did not concede and was able to score two goals in the match

It's not a huge surprise that Man.united lost because some players from the squad simply have no chemistry between them and some don't even want to have when they are in the pitch and from here , the entire game of the team will suffer. Even if it was the first game , they basically didn't score at all and they barely had any great chances...so I'm super skeptical again on Man.United season.

It isn't surprising to see Man United lose, but I am very surprised to see Man United starting lineups. I don't know what Erik ten Hag thinks of Man United starting lineups, he put Varane and Ronaldo on the bench but put Maguire on the starting lineups. This makes Man United defense becomes very weak as Maguire never performed well and Martinez still needs time to adapt to Man United other players. While the attacking line of Man United, has no pure center forward. So, Man United attacking line has no power without a CF like Ronaldo. In my opinion, one of the reasons why Man United lost in this match is the wrong lineups used by Ten Hag.

Erick Ten Hag has confirmed will played Ronaldo as substitutions player before this match begin because he feel Ronaldo is not ready to play as main player but indeed he did some mistakes with played the players who cannot showed good performance especially the combination of Fred and Mctominay were playing not as Ten Hag expected because during the match they failed to dominated midfield and it proven from the statistics both of teams while playing that although Man Utd dominated the game but total shot on goals from Brighton almost equal to Man Utd

In terms of quality, Manchester City's players are far superior to West Ham United and I think they deserved this win.
And to talk about the title I think it's still quite early because to be a champion is not only because of a good game but the consistency of the team until the end of the season.
in this match I think Haaland was in the spotlight because he was able to score 2 goals and dismissed the bad news about him for failing to show his best performance last weekend against Liverpool.

At first I thought Kieran Tierney would be the captain but maybe in this case there are several reasons why Arteta didn't choose him and maybe one of them is the injury he always faces.
In this case Odegaard is not too bad in my opinion despite his very young age but for experience maybe he already has it because in the Norwegian National team he is already captain and this may be a consideration for Arteta.

Haaland capped a spectacular performance in his debut with two brilliant goals the first via a well taken penalty kick and the second with an eye-catching finish, this guy's will score a lot of goals for Man City, he is very fast and pacy, blessed with height, his feet is good with the ball and in a squad equipped with goal passers like Gundogan, De Bruyne and Foden etc,I was absolutely amazed with his skills and I am very sure he will perfectly fit into the team like Kun Aguero whose departure had left the club without a profilic central forward,  Haaland will be at one of the highest goal scorers in the league.

Erling Haaland did have a perfect debut with Manchester City in the first match, Erling Haaland was able to score two goals, Erling Haaland was able to follow in the footsteps of Aguero, I also believe Erling Haaland will become a legend of Manchester City like Aguero, but on his first debut Aguero only became a player. substitute, Aguero came on in the 59th minute but he scored his first goal just 10 minutes after he entered the field, Aguero also managed to score the winner against QPR and Aguero also managed to bring the EPL trophy for the first time to the club Manchester city.
