Manchester United is not far from Chelsea in time of performance this season, both clubs are really struggling to win a match perfectly. With the way Machester United is playing if they continue like that, I believe they we not make it to play in the European league next season. I see clubs like Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Brighton taking that position. Erik Ten Tag should know that this is Manchester United, not Ajax, he should forget about signing the players he has worked with before and sign players who are willing to fight for the club.

This season, both clubs are having difficulty winning matchs. However, given how poorly both teams have performed, particularly Chelsea, I wasn't convinced that either Manchester United or Chelsea would finish the season with any success due to their results. Chelsea is not quite as good as Manchester United.

Chelsea is only achieving 12 points, while Manchester United is still managing 15 points on the table. If those teams are genuinely interested in participating in the European League next season, they must make improvements.

I'm not surprised by the struggle of Manchester United this season because late last season Manchester United's weaknesses were exposed when Rashford was not informed to score goals, and Manchester United was finding it difficult to win matches. That same thing is happening to Rashford this season, he is finding it difficult to find the back of the net. Erik Teg Hag failed to sign the perfect forward who could have solved this goal problem for Manchester United. Harry Kane or Victor Oshimen could have been a perfect signing for Manchester United because these players have the spirit of hustling for goals even when their clubs are not performing well.

Indeed, Man United does not have a dangerous striker like the one you mentioned. But I think Man United must be able to utilize the existing strikers. He must be able to play the perfect partner for Man United at this time. Man United have a lot of injured players and will be lucky to be able to play them, especially considering this is at Old Trafford.

I think in this match Erik Ten Hag must have the courage to substitute Rashford and Bruno. Erik Tag had to make them come off the bench for several games. Holjund is still young, so start Martial and Rasmus to protect them from criticism and injury. Focus on defense, and in practice focus on retention and forward play. Against Newcestil who are doing well, I think Man United must have the courage to make wise decisions in arranging the line up, especially Rashford and Bruno who have to play from the bench.

Rashford misses so many positions in the game that sometimes he makes the fans angry. There is one position I remember in the last Galatasaray game and in this position he was facing the goalkeeper and he couldn't throw it to his friend who was very open and the opposition player came from behind and intervened. A very simple mistake for this level of football. This is just one position that comes to my mind and there are many more. Rashford plays very selfish and every ball he tries to shoot at goal. If he takes 10 shots, 2 of them go into the net and in the positions where these shots are taken he always has friends in a better position and he doesn't pass to them. Someone needs to talk to Rashford about this and talk him out of this behavior.

I think Holjund is a good player but his team is not supporting him enough. Manchester don't need a striker, they need harmony within the team.

I also want to talk about a deficiency that I see in the team, that at certain moments of the game they break away from the game and none of the players help each other. This is something I see a lot and Manchester should not do this.

But the current form of the Blues, they will disappoint us with unfamiliar results.

Newcastle appears to be in a better form than Manchester united and in this match, and consider the recent losses Manchester united have against teams that are not as good as Newcastle I doubt if Manchester united is going to be able to face Newcastle heads on.

Newcastle has won two out of their last five game but Manchester united has win three but it still doesn't sound convincing to me because of their inconsistency in the premier league and even in the UCL but then we keep hoping they will get better but not with this match against Newcastle maybe they could get a draw, because currently Manchester united doesn't have any good defense line and I think that's one of their biggest problem this season.

Every other club has taken up the challenge to work hard and improve themselves over time, I don't see enough efforts from Ten Hag yet. I think that they would return back to form though it would take a while and would cost them to drop and lose participating in the UCL or Europa tournament, Manchester United are performing very badly lately and it became very clear to everyone how bad the team has gotten when they had a very terrible performance against their neighbours Manchester City therefore I think they might not have a very good game against Newcastle that are performing well and are above them in the standings

 However Chelsea might not be in their best performance but they're going to have a good game against Blackburn, if Chelsea could very well against Burnley in the Premier league then Blackburn shouldn't be  very big problem for them, moreover i don't think Blackburn would win Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Newcastle appears to be in a better form than Manchester united and in this match, and consider the recent losses Manchester united have against teams that are not as good as Newcastle I doubt if Manchester united is going to be able to face Newcastle heads on.

I think Newcastle would win this game. I love the lads at old Trafford but with their present form that’s quite unpredictable, I can’t see them winning this game. It could turn out to be a very difficult game for Man United and I’m wondering how many attempts they would have to defend from Newcastle from entering the back of the net.
I do hope they can manage to win Newcastle but I don’t want to have any high hopes only to watch Manchester United lose another game.

The Arsenal players on the pitch are not the regular premier league players, but they have still been able to control the game, I trust that the goals will follow in a matter of time because West Ham have given the ball away a lot especially in their own half. If West ham do not try to secure this their lead by scoring another goal, it looks like it will be lost. For Manchester United, they should be able to win Newcastle. Chelsea are already ahead, their formation look very much stronger with Reece James and Enzo back.

I don't think Newcastle united will come all out with their might this night because it's a league cup game and league Cup games are different when it comes to the player performance, I believe some of these teams actually use their second base players and if that's the case tonight then Manchester united might have a slight chance of securing victory which I Know for sure will be a thing of high difficulty looking at the present performance of this united squad.

Westham gave so much pressure before the corner kick that lead to the goal scored with the own goal from white. Ramsdale was busy going for body tussel instead of contesting for that ball that should not have gone into the goal of Arsenal.
Arsenal so far has dominated and the game with all the highest possession held tight.
The game will still not be easy for arsenal to equalize. Westham are fighting to get good form for some games they have played,  they will make Arsenal struggle even if they finally win this game.

I guess this game in the League Cup is of minor importance to both Manchester United and Newcastle as they are probably not aiming at qualifying for the Europa League due to winning the League Cup. I have often seen that in this cup the teams allow players to get some practice when they usually don't play that frequently. Hence, I don't really think that this game is particularly informative as to how the teams will be doing in the coming weeks in the important competitions. A lot of games are to come and tonight there will probably be some players who get a break.

Both teams have not confirmed the line up, so we don't know their seriousness in this tournament. I agreed that the Manchester United and Newcastle United match in Carabao Cup was not very important for them because there were other competitions with a far more important goal for them.
Manchester United and Newcastle still have to focus on the UEFA Champions League. If they are fully focused on the Carabao Cup, afraid of getting obstacles when struggling there.

That the team is not developing and winning under him became clear last season I think, especially after he gave up key players. Newcastle look much stronger, and they hardly want to lose, because they are in 6th place in the table and obviously want to catch up with the teams above them, so they will not throw away points

United's weakest line is Ten Hag himself  He bought 1.5 squads at his own request (and it is suspected that there was a certain amount of corruption/conflict of interest there) and justifying the terrible results by the fact that they didn’t buy someone for him are just excuses. Each coach works with what he has - there are always unexpected injuries, transfers (sometimes to prison haha) but the team does not consist of 11 people and not from one scheme. A qualified coach constantly adapts to circumstances. Under Ten Hag's leadership, the players are deteriorating and the club has a toxic atmosphere.

I have to be agreed with you about this all as well because we have too many transfers which are not helping but having huge amounts and Ajax is also suffering due to this as well which is another story but currently this all is hurting badly to Manchester United and their fans which are suffering and having not positive real time chances for the improvement in their game Ten Hag is currently controversial person in this all because his leadership is also under threat with the things which he is doing and having no positive results in long run.

Hopefully we will have all things out in coming months with for me most chances if we have no change in Manchester United performance then he can lose his job as well because he is not capable of bringing changes and positive results even after having all players of his own request.

I don’t know how close Ten Hag is to being fired (but I hope that he is close), but those who know something and are ready to answer for their knowledge with money (bookmakers) accept bets on this event with odds of 9 to 1. Unfortunately, this means that for now it is not a very likely event. There may be an additional factor in Ten Hag's favor in that if United decide to sack him they will have to pay him 15 million in compensation.

Yeah it seems they are reserving some of there key players for premier League matches because they feel west Ham United is not much of a threat to them, so just like you said I believe there would be many goals on the second half because Arsenal may likely add few of there key players to make the game a bit rossy for them.

So even if West Ham United are wining with a goal, second half is likely not going to be an easy one for them because Arsenal will surely show them what they are made up of.

Some first-elevev players are missing in the Arsenal line-up today due to injuries, and the coach is resting some players as well. But this team should be capable of winning this match for Arsenal because the players in the field are putting in good effort to get a positive result in the match.
 
The own goal is something the player cannot do anything about because he intends to defend the ball. I believe Arteta will give the players some motivation at halftime so that they can get more energy to fight till the end, but unfortunately, West Ham United come back strong as they have doubled the lead. I think the best thing Arteta needs to do is make some changes in order to get at least a draw in this match.

At the start of the season, wins and losses doesn’t really probe who is going to win the league or qualify for champions league. There are room for improvements and overtaking is also allowed. Don’t forget that during January new transfers windows will be open. And most teams are anxiously waiting to buy some good players. Most of these players will bring about good change in the performance of the team while some will not add anything at all. Let’s hope that Manchester win the game against Newcastle. Because their last game at Etihad was a huge loss.

Ben white really wanted to head out that ball, but unfortunately the ball went to the wrong direction and went directly to the arsenal net 🥅.
Though white has been exceptionally with his performance this evening even with the mistaken own goal.
I believe Arsenal will get a goal this second half, because they've been incharge of the game.
