I don't agree when I compare it to other clubs. I certainly compare with the history of the club, how it goes and the titles it has won. Every club wants to be a champion and win all the trophies. Seeing the history of Manchester United in the hands of coaches Sir Alex Ferguson, Mourinho, Moyes, Giggs, Van Gall. Then the glorious era of Manchester United while with Ferguson. And of course I remember very well after that they started to dim. I think a lot of fans are waiting for Ferguson's era to come again under a different coach and that hasn't been there yet.

At the moment it is very difficult to find a coach of the same skills or at least, similar with Ferguson. He seems to have calm when he is on the field and leading the players. He is also able to see the talent of young players who really have the potential to be developed to be a main players for team in the future. Currently, Olle and the coach after ferguson no one has managed to last long at Manchester United. However, it seems that there is trust given by MU to Olle, just how patient they are to wait for the champions to come to Old Trafford

If deal is done then I think defensively Man Utd will fair better  the partnership duo of Maguire and Verane will be very Solid, well strengthened and stable this season, Verane is a world class and talented defender I believe he will bring his wealth of experience into the team just like Thiago Silva is doing in Chelsea, Man Utd will concede fewer goals this next if the two CB understand each other and as well cover for any lapses or errors committed by any one of them. I hope the two signings will improve the team defensively and will like to watch an improve Man Utd playing attacking football and well as dependable defenders covering DeGea from conceding many goals.

Man United has reached an agreement with Real Madrid for the transfer of Raphael Varane with an initial fee of £34m and an additional £8M (could rise to £42m) but Varane has to undergo medical tests first. With Varane's move to Man United, Man United's backline will become more solid. There are rumors if Man United will also sign Atletico Madrid right-back Keiran Trippier (currently still in negotiations).

Just chalk it up to ‘it happens’...  Like Liverpool’s faded away during the 1980’s amd took decades for them to win a league trophy, I think it’s gonna be the same for United.  Maybe not decades but it’s going to take while too esp with City, Chelsea and LFC all in the running to win the league.

It looks like Chelsea are trying to sign Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde (22) who has a £68.4m release clause. He has a contract running until 2024. I wonder whether Chelsea will have to pay this release clause or they will reach an agreement with Sevilla for a much lower price.

It is foolish to compare Manchester United with Arsenal. Manchester United may not have won the title, but their gameplay is much better than Arsenal's. Arsenal were very weak in the previous season. There are no star players in the team, moreover the team was unstable. The bonding between the players was not good. I didn't like their gameplay either.
Arsenal are not a bad team, it's just that the people from management don't want the team to win title I think. This can be seen clearly from the way they choose coach and players who will strengthen their first team throughout the season. I don't see them as a team that is very serious about winning title, they are much more interested in bringing in talented players to sell. Hopefully I'm wrong about this, but that's at least what I've seen so far.

You're not completely wrong because it is a visible fact the reason is Arsenal can't compete with other clubs the situation could change if Arsenal changed owners. For a clear title it's wrong because there is no team that doesn't want the title they just can't.

Another greatly overpriced player, in my opinion. He is very young, has not demonstrated much yet he gets a 68.4m release clause. He only saw two major European leagues, La Liga and Ligue 1 and therefore I would not value him more than 30m, which is already a very high figure to me.
It is true that these transfers are being made to cover some washing activities, otherwise I do not understand why they could happen.
Be aware I am not making this up, I am talking facts.

Yes, maybe they want to win the title but the effort they put in over the last few season looks mediocre. It looks like they don't really want to do it even though they are one of the team that give the English league a lot of color every season. The 2021/2022 season I hope Arsenal are much better, they are not a bad team and they have the ability too. The simple thing is Arsenal have to fight to get back up and prove they want to win title too.

arsenal now is like a business ground for stan kroenke after successfully getting a majority stake in arsenal, the era of arsenal's collapse in my opinion occurred after arsenal moved from the higbury stadium and spent a lot of money to build emirates stadium, so arsenal is very easy to sell its star players in order to pay paid off the club's debt, but after all debts were paid off, stan kroenke still didn't want to spend a lot of money to buy players and preferred to orbit young players so that arsenal did not have the great fighting power to compete to be champions so far, as an arsenal fan, I really hope Arsenal can be taken over by another owner who really has a football soul in him.

Yup. it is not impossible that there are coaches who have almost similar skills to Ferguson, I do not deny that. Actually, when the coach is given a long time, its very possible for him to give better results, as long as he finds players who can adjust the game to his strategy. Unfortunately, nowadays it is very rare to find a coach who lasts more than 3 seasons if he can't give a trophy to the club.

Does it apply to coach who manage mid-level team or lower-level teams?
I still think it's very possible for those who handle a top-ranked team. They will only get a chance for 3 season to prove they can do it, but if not for a third season I'm sure they will be fired. Really I feel different for a team that is ranked 10th to 20th.

Based on the information I read on Goal.com, they (the audience) are required to bring a covid certification (vaccine passport) and must be up-to-date. That is, when a match is held on 30 July for example, they must have a Covid certification on that date.

Yes, first of all they need to prove they have the vaccine, and then second, they must also prove they are healthy (as the vaccine does not mean they do not get sick).

What I am wondering is how about foreigner supporters? Like us, we have a local/national app but I doubt this is accepted in another country. EU maybe do they have a single EU cert?

Unfortunately, nowadays it is very rare to find a coach who lasts more than 3 seasons if he can't give a trophy to the club.
Does it apply to coach who manage mid-level team or lower-level teams?
The trophy thing applies to top level teams only. The mid-level or lower-level only cares about staying in the top division. They would be happy with the result as long as they are not relegated.

Quote
I still think it's very possible for those who handle a top-ranked team. They will only get a chance for 3 season to prove they can do it, but if not for a third season I'm sure they will be fired. Really I feel different for a team that is ranked 10th to 20th.
masulum use the word "rare" so I guess you are on the same page there.

I don't know about firing a manager for a three-year trophy less campaign. He should still be fine if the team secures a Champion's League spot with top 3 finish every season.

Raphael Varane: Does defender mean Man Utd are Premier League title contenders? according to this article  which highlighted the chances of Man Utd  contending for EPL title this season personally I believe the partnership Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane will be very solid at the back this season while the numbers of goals conceded by Man Utd will reduce and there will be stability in the defense I have the confidence that the duo will make a huge difference defensively Bailly and Lindelof were just an average defenders having performed below expectation its quite unfortunate that Man Utd had so far  spent huge amount of money on defenders yet no positive results let hope this season will be different what are you opinions on the article?

both teams have their respective eras of glory so comparing the two teams is certainly not a good thing in my opinion, currently MU has collected around 44 championship trophies while arsenal only has 31 trophies, in terms of trophy acquisition of course MU is superior to arsenal, but we also should not underestimate arsenal who were able to break the record as unbeaten champions in 2003/04, besides that only a few clubs in the English league have been able to continue to compete in the top 4 standings so far only by relying on young players and also little money to buy player.
I would say that United being second in the league is a bigger success than FA cup win. I know that is not seen as a common thing, I know many people say "premier league is more important than fa cup, but winning FA cup is more important than being second in league" that is the common thing people think about. However I honestly believe that there is a good chance that we could see United beating Arsenal so many times a year, hence why it becomes something obvious that being 2nd in the league is a lot harder.

I think United progressed a lot, they were not good at all after SAF retired, but it is also obvious that they had good foundations when they started to rebuild. Now they have Varane and Sancho as well which means that they are going to be even better, I wouldn't be really shocked if they ended up winning the league this year, it is not easy, but at least possible.

They will be good but I am not sure they will manage to attack the title. I see them on position 3 or 4 at the end, they just don't have the constant City has. Livepool will also be much better this season with supporters i the stadium and Van Dijk back from injury. Chelsea is also signing some good players and they are for me the team which will fight neck to neck with united for 3rd position.

According to Report, Fulham Goalkeeper, Marcus Bettinelli have been transferred to Chelsea on a free transfer from Fulham. Having ended his contract with Fulham last season, he signed a two years deal with Chelsea, Marcus, spent last season at Middlesbrough on a loan transfer. He has also been sent on loan transfer's to Dartford in 2012, and Accrington in the year 2013. If he performance is great, I bet Chelsea will extend he contract. This will be he first time playing in a big team. And also in the Champion League.

I think chelsea has made quite a big bet by signing Marcus Bettinelli as their goalkeeper, moreover Marcus Bettinelli's performance last season was not very good and that's the reason he has been on loan so far, I think chelsea should be able to get a better goalkeeper than Marcus Bettinelli to could be a competitor to Kepa and Mendy next season, honestly it looks like Marcus Bettinelli will be very difficult to compete with Mendy to be able to get the number 1 goalkeeper position for Chelsea and it looks like Marcus Bettinelli will only spend 2 seasons of his contract at Chelsea with sitting comfortably on the bench Grin.

He has a chance to participate in a big club, to enjoy the air in Champion League. Good for him and Chelsea don't lose any transfer fee for him. It's a win-win situation for both.

Perhaps Chelsea signed with Bettinelli because they can have a free transfer with him from Fullham. Kepa does not feel happy in Chelsea and he want to leave the club. I think Chelsea have a good decision to get an alternative goalkeeper, free of transfer cost. With Bettinelli, they at least have another substitution for Mendy, good enough in worst case when Kepa suddenly leaves the club and they won't have enough time to find another goalkeeper from the market.

It's certainly that Bettinelli can not fight for a second or first position among three goalkeepers of Chelsea.

This is a very quality signing for Chelsea that needs a backup goalkeeper, and bettinelli is a quality signing that can even compete with their first choice keeper. While at Fulham he was very good,so this is a bargain buy for Chelsea.
