Yes it is really sad to see Chelsea losing some points lately, 3 draw in the last 5 matches means they lost 6 points because in a paper they should have won the 3 draw matches against average/mediocre team. They are now in 2nd position with 8 points behind Manchester City as the leader, but they may down to 3rd if Liverpool win the 20th match. I have no idea what is happening with Chelsea, they were strong since the start but now they are not as strong as what they used to show.

Getting good and convincing results in the previous 2 matches, made me believe about Chelsea last night. Even though I only bet ML for Chelsea's victory, but again and again Chelsea made me disappointed when I bet for him. I knew victory was in sight for Chelsea but sadly, Danny Welbeck was able to score the equaliser in the last minute of the game. Chelsea who played at home should not have stopped their attacks to make another goal, but a one-goal lead made Chelsea lower their attack at least Brighton looked to dominate the match in the second half.

Giving out a point to Brighton was so disappointing. Chelsea wasn't playing to win and the went for defense after the 1-0 victory hoping to stick to it till the end of play but yet still had to conceede a goal giving Brighton a point to hold on to. The players who had covid shouldn't be an excuse for poor performance. Manchester city is obviously becoming the favorite team for everyone to win the leagues title.

Chelsea failed to maintain a win against Brighton Albion after a late goal from Welbeck forced Chelsea to concede and draw 1-1, this result greatly threatens the position of Chelsea who are currently in 2nd position with a one point advantage and Liverpool are the next opponent who can make Chelsea's position safe or not, However, a draw actually makes City stronger at the top of the standings with a difference of 8 points from Chelsea and also 9 points from Liverpool, making it easier for City to defend the Premier League title this season.

The only big problem Chelsea can't solve it is a chance creation(scoring around the opponent's 18 box is a problem for the guys- they lack creativity). I’ve watchedTuchel’s post match comments and he really needs to stop with the excuses. We had enough to beat Brighton and we failed to do so, I don’t see the same patterns of play that I was seeing at the that at start of the season (with the wingbacks making out to in runs and the inside forwards alternating between staying in the half space and staying out wide) and we look profoundly vulnerable in the midfield, it’s time for a tactical switch in formation and in my honest opinion we should just use the 3-5-2 instead of the 3-4-2-1 as it provides and extra midfielder and a bit of stability. I would also consider reverting back to a 4-2-3-1 we’ve previously used this formation before .

With what i saw yester night if they can build on this solid defensive structure they should be able to get better results with fine turning of the front side to try get maximum points going forward.
Otherwise city is destined to be crowned champions for this one.

it was a tough game for Brentford, but they did quite well. a strong defense and better prepared after conceding it is difficult to return in penetrating City. seeing City can only make 1 goal is very surprising. despite the defeat of Brentford, they played very well by implementing a good strategy to contain City.

Today we have one match in the Premier League Manchester United v Burnley as usual Manchester is definitely a favorite here but after several surprising matches

Each moment Chelsea scored a goal, they will feel relaxed, will not be able to top-up more goals. They will start playing delay tactics for the match to be over. Forgetting that in football is not meant to be so. Your opponent has a chance of scoring a die-minute goal anytime.

City looks really unstoppable, yesterday was their 10th win in a row. With Chelsea having a Covid crisis and Liverpool soon losing both Mane and Salah, it is fair to say that they made a huge step towards the title.

Unfortunately, the EPL is gradually moving from "4 teams fighting for first place" to a format of "6 teams fighting for second place". Undoubtedly, this is interesting (for example, many are following the rise of Arsenal and wish it success), but I think all the fans first of all want to see a serious fight for the championship.

I think they've stopped saying Big 4 for a while now and started saying "six" but yeah, if not for Liverpool, City steamroller would have just cantered to every title in the past 6.

And that's why Liverpool and Klopp have been getting a lot of neutral supporters too, though, and for sure, people would love to see Chelsea up there again, because they've been giving City a bit to chew on.

Given City's 8-point lead, this construction is no longer relevant. The rest of the teams are distributed more evenly from the 2nd place to the last. Hopefully City will have a recession at some point and we will see a resurgence of intrigue.
As for the love of neutral fans for Liverpool, I do not think that this is due to its tournament achievements - in my opinion Liverpool is attractive because of its uncompromising manner of play and the large number of dramatic matches that it gets.

What a great week it has been for Manchester City! Because Chelsea and Liverpool both lost points at the same time. Liverpool even lost to Leicester in their away game by 1-0. It was really unexpected for me honestly. Liverpool were clearly the dominant team in the game but Leicester played really smart and secured 3 points. And Chelsea made a big mistake against Brighton last night. They should have scored their second goal earlier and ended the hopes of their competitor. But they couldn't and Brighton benefited from their chance in the last minutes and obtained one point by 1-1.

And Manchester City managed to beat Brentford by 1-0 away even though they didn't play very well. Now the gap is really wide with Chelsea and Liverpool in the standings. If these two teams can't gather themselves up soon, Manchester City would be close to win another title second time in a row.

You know, it was a match that didn't look amazing. Manchester City dominated the pitch even though they couldn't score more than 1 goal against Brentford. In the second half Manchester City had a bit of a problem as there were quite a few attacks from the Brentford players but not very good chances. Brentford defended quite well, it was good to prevent Manchester City from scoring a lot of goals.

The win took Manchester City to a 10-match unbeaten run in the Premier League after they lost to Crystal Palace at the end of October. Manchester City's next match is vs Arsenal and it's a big macth at the start of 2022.

Actually I hope Chelsea did it but they haven't been consistent so far too many draws lately chelsea missed 3 games with only 9 points in the last 5 matches

Recall the top teams had difficult times beating Brighton e.g Liverpool thus It wasn't an easy game for Chelsea infact Brighton could have won the match it is a well deserve draw they had more shots on target and possessions and with the calibre players that played for Chelsea is never an excuse for not winning the match, they never take their chances, I think they are not in-form for now dropping points against mid table teams, a big advantage for Man City to extend their points.
