Really? With what Liverpool are showing? With effects from Africa Cup? They are losing Salah, Mane, etc. for this tournament and will they return with good fitness, without injury or not is unknow. Even with them, Liverpool already had worse performance than Manchester City.

Though Chelsa is on 2nd place, Man City is too far and better than Chelsa in terms of their performance and points. But besides who wins the upcoming match, it will be eagerly seen by all around to see the top most teams playing against each other. If Chelsa looses the match, then Liverpool has a lot chance to be take over the 2nd place if it wins Arsanal on 14th. A heavy competition for 2nd place will be between Chelsa, Liverpool and Arsanal.

For me if Manchester City win Chelsea in this upcoming fixture then I think Manchester City have won the league title, because the gap will be too much, about Liverpool I think they won't perform great without there two star men ( Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane) I think they will surely drop points in the premier League before they are back and Manchester City will take advantage of that.

I do not it is possible for Liverpool to catch up with the momentum Manchester city are playing with at the moment. I will say Manchester City have had the factor of luck in their title charge this season. When both Liverpool and Chelsea were dropping points over the festive period due to some absentees that tested positive for Covid-19, Manchester city were busy grinding points and now they have taken a 10-point lead at the top of the Premier League table. Manchester City Squad Depth is really great. That's how Manchester city performance now show their real capability. Now that Mo Salah, Sadio Mane are not in the team till February, it will really clamp down their performance and I have always wanted Klopp to rotate the squad when these stars were around so that they can find the rhythm wirthout them. Now they can not replicate the same performance they had when Mo Salah was around.

Liverpool have chances to make the difference with Manchester City to 8 points, but we have to win them all without problems. But if Manchester City can't be beaten by Chelsea then it's very likely that we will find it difficult to catch up. I hope Manchester City lose this weekend.

I definitely agree with you. And I assume that most people are thinking in the same way too. Because I really consider this league as the most delightful and biggest league in Europe now. As a result, I expect the competition to go on until the end for certain. But when a team have a this much dominance, they are just ending the whole charm of the league. So I hope to see that at least one of the Liverpool-Chelsea duo can catch up with them and maintain the rivalry for the title.

Manchester City is certainly safer without a lot of burden when facing Chelsea in this match because it has a fairly large difference in points from Chelsea. In addition, Chelsea must return to play the match against Tottenham in the second leg of the EFL Cup 2 days before this big match starts. Although I agree with you on Manchester United, there is still a lot of games ahead of us and we can see an improvement from ManU. But one must also consider the age of Cristiano Ronaldo and how much he can contribute even though he is incredible at his old age. But we now by now that age is simply a number for him and it doesn't matter. I really wonder what he will do.

Also yes, Manchester City also has this years title already I think too. Guardiola is doing brilliantly considering he is managing a team at the EPL, not La Liga. With the way they play, we can consider them the winner of the title this year. I don't see any possibility where they lose the championship.

I think that the Manchester City - Chelsea game next week will be a quite satisfying game for most of us. I hope so at least. These teams both have an unbeaten streak for many weeks. Manchester City are in a much better situation now as they won all of their last 11 EPL games. When it comes to Chelsea, they didn't lose their last six EPL games too. But they got four draws in those ones which is not good. But there is a feeling in me like Chelsea will defeat them. Maybe it is really hard but I don't know.

The chance for Manchester City to win in the upcoming matches is surely bigger than Chelsea. They are in a good form and they will play at home. While Chelsea isn't really in a good form after they have a problem with Lukaku. I saw Chelsea attackers become not really as well as before since the problem happened. It makes Chelsea lose their power in the attacking line and they play not really solid anymore. So, I also doubt that Chelsea can win in Manchester City home. But the match should be quite tight, Chelsea isn't a weak team and they have strong defenders. Probably Manchester City wins 2-0 or 2-1 in the upcoming match.

Probably because this is Premier League thread, not a cup thread. Most cup competitions have their unique threads, I don't know if FA Cup have one. Arsenal's loss was a big blow though.
League games will go on today, Southampton will play with Brentford at home. Southampton is favorite by bookmakers, probably due to home advantage. Brentford is higher in standing though. I wouldn't bet on this game as it's open for all three outcomes.

I used to watch FA cups but I find it just a distraction these days. Top Premier League teams do not even see it as a priority since they only send their second tier teams to compete most of the time. It's also not surprising when they lose to Championship teams because of that.

This is what the case has often been before hand, now, times have changed. Just like the Bundesliga where we've got a Bayern Munich dominance of the league, the EPL has turned out to be confined to very few teams in the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.  No other team counts so much and you can be almost certain that, these 3 would always be in the top 3 spots while the other teams struggle on whatever spot is left.

Looking at this fact, the rest teams have redirected there energy and force towards the FA and Carabao Cup for there chance of going home with a trophy. Even Europa now has become difficult, not to mention the UCL. So, its not really a game for second eleven anymore, just a slight change but, you could be sure the big dogs would be out once the time is running out.
