The mental pressure for this defeat must have been there and it could be said that it was quite large considering that they were already confident in the beginning.

Honestly after bottling the CL, I am thinking of ways City bottling PL. Not sure what happened but Madrid pushed them hard when things mattered and honestly they deserved it. As for Liverpool they have PL and CL chances alive..how good that will be if they come out to win both. City will now hope to win their remainder of the fixtures in PL but they are under pressure since Liverpool are behind and they always do mistake under pressure.

They are still playing and still need to show something good, they have 4 matches remaining in the EPL. it would be a shame if they gave up and lost after a few weeks of leading it would be a huge loss if they let it go to Liverpool now

Yea I understand but they are humans also, this champions was important for them, Is the only competition they have not win since the new owners came, is an important trophy and they went so far this year like they did last year and yet another disappointment but like you said they have to channel there anger and frustration to fight for the league because if they loss a game and Liverpool top them I think the season will now turn to a disaster so they need stay focused and be professional in the remaining matches.

Consolation? It's strange to call winning the English Premier League "consolation", because it's not. It's the league with the biggest competition of any league and as it stands right now they have a battle with Liverpool for the top spot. I'm leaning more towards the option of Manchester City winning the league, but you can expect anything after such a tough defeat. The defeat to Real was tough because they led by two goals, but within 2-3 minutes everything changed. City crushed, Liverpool have a chance to win the league
