They won, it was close, but it doesn't matter. They still have a chance dir the Championship. After 0:1 Liverpool FC won an important game. This week is the FA Cup final and they have to play against Chelsea, so they can win the cup. A little distracted by the Premier League, but only this weekend.

Would have been really heartbreaking for all Reds to see Steven gerrald cost them another trophy after that famous slip against Chelsea. But they were not going to have it this time. Now his final assignment for the season  is to try to defeat City on last match day by a good goal margin which I doubt.

It would be great if Gerrard could really beat Manchester City at the end of the season. Because if that happens then not only will Gerrard manage to give Liverpool the best possible place as a way for Gerrard to make amends for his past mistakes, but also Gerrard broke a streak of 10 EPL matches from 2014 without a win when Aston Villa played against Manchester City. I personally will still be waiting to see if West Ham will be able to provide a strong resistance for Manchester City, because if West Ham manages to hold off Manchester City then of course Manchester City will go crazy in the final match of the season against Aston Villa.

My prediction is Liverpool's match against Aston Villa will end in a 1-1 draw, but the great thing is that they won the match by a score of 1-2 which I previously believed would not have been more. Of course the victory gave them hope that the title race with Manchester City will continue until this season is over.

I don't think the Premier League will let them lose focus on the two finals they are likely to win at the moment. I know Liverpool's main focus is to win the Champions League, but the FA Cup and Premier League are two titles that might be expected to complement their success this season. Although Liverpool still have a chance with their quadruple acquisition this season, but I believe they will most likely miss the Premier League title chance that Manchester City will likely win.

I'm not sure Manchester City will drop points against Wolves FC. Because they also certainly do not want to just lose the opportunity to win that is wide open at this time. For the title, it has been a tough rally. This league is becoming something special because of City and Liverpool, and both teams deserve credit for that. The season has been tight. At the end of the season, I do not see Liverpool winning the title. The team has come a long way against the league leaders. There's too much depth in City's squad at all positions and they have a point advantage as well. Reds hanging on hoping City drops points, well they controlled it but let it slip away.

I think, Liverpool management will look for way to increase Mane salary to 120k pounds because Mane has done well for Liverpool team. It will be difficult for Liverpool management to allow Mane to leave Liverpool to another team because Mane mean so much to Liverpool that will make the management to do everything possible to make Mane happy.

IMO, if asked about the player most likely to stay at Liverpool between Mane and Salah, i'd say Salah. Regardless of Mane's performance both for country and club this year and his important goals for the club in important games, he hasn't gotten enough recognition that he deserves.

 He won the AFCON for his country Senegal, the first in their history and also World cup qualification, he also has been instrumental to Liverpool's Champion's League performance as well as performance in the EPL, this season...If Liverpool wins the UCL, Mane should also be amongst one of the candidate or nominee's for Ballon D'or this year, he has done a lot.

At this point, he is a hotcake in England, if Liverpool do not do the needful... another club may entice him with a salary currently better that what he receives.

By looking at Liverpool's schedule I feel more confident that Manchester City will become champions, because Manchester City only needs to focus on the English league while Liverpool must also focus on the Champions League, I think it will be more optimistic for Liverpool to focus on the Champions League final, because of this title. very prestigious to win.

there are only 2 games left for Manchester City and they are 3 points clear, by looking at Man City's current performance and quality, as it was all over, Liverpool themselves realized that. now they are not playing hard anymore in the Premier League match, it was proven when they only won 2-1 against Aston Villa, Liverpool might be better off focusing on the 2 finals they will play, the Champions League final is the most important.

Liverpool really need to dig in hard to win this one. Aston had a good game. Fair play to Aston villa, worked hard  and looked very dangerous at times. It is a shame that they couldn't spoil their party, but were encouraged by what I've seen tonight. Just hope we can keep this level of intensity up for the remaining games. A nd created a lot of chances against a very good team. Liverpool aren't looking as fluid or fast as they did but its understandable, later stage of the season, games coming every few days, 3points and onto the next. Looking forward to the final.

Aston Villa gave Liverpool a mighty scare after Aston Villa took the lead in the third minute. It didn't last long, though. On paper, Liverpool were the dominant team, as they enjoyed 60% possession and attempted 17 shots while putting six of them on target. But the stats didn't tell the entire story as Aston Villa were a threat all night long and put four of their nine attempts on target while missing multiple chances. I think with this victory, Liverpool managed to keep their faint Premier League title hopes alive, while expecting Manchester city to slip up against wolves. They are still very much in the driver's seat but have a couple of tricky fixtures to navigate against Wolves and West Ham United. I see them wining both games.

Manchester City have a chance to make the difference in points with Liverpool to 3 again tonight, especially if they are able to beat Wolves. It was a very important match to win to keep Liverpool's title chances safe.

A really nervous game for Liverpool again yesterday. The toll of a really long season is starting to show, we are struggling to control the games and we made a lot of small mistakes that could have cost us the win.
