I was excited seeing him score his first goal for the club on his debut game and helping his team secure a win in the game. Manchester City have bought 2 players this season, That's Haaland and Kalvin Phillips. While one of the others was brought in for free from Arminia Bielefeld and the rest were players who had ended their loan period. So with this I don't expect much change in the Manchester City squad even though 4 important players are move out to other team.



Another interesting thing is that Newcastle, who were bought by rich people last season, didn't spend a lot of money in the market, they only bought a few players, and even then they weren't stars. Is that a form of prudence?

Manchester City didnt need to buy more players honestly. These two were enough for them. They already have a team built ,so Halland in attack was a perfect fit and yet again they are the favorites to win the title. Wierd for me aswell that Newcastle didnt get some superstars but they are still carefull at who they pick

I know and agree with you when it comes to the Bundesliga where Haaland played before, but this time he is playing in the Premier League

Last season in the Bundesliga was one of the most problematic seasons for Haaland as he spent almost half a game there struggling with injuries.
This must be corrected because obviously the EPL is a league with a higher pace than the Bundesliga so when he is still the same as before then this will be very dangerous for City and even for his own Career.

Chelsea is a force to be reckoned with; they want the league this season.

No, I don't compare new season with Chelsea's friendly games, I know for a fact that Chelsea won't be a contender this season, just like last season. They have no chance to finish the league in Top 3. I can make any bet for you that it's not gonna happen. Chelsea is not even a minor threat to Liverpool or Arsenal, let alone Manchester City. They are lucky if they can pass Tottenham to be honest. I don't call Manchester United and Chelsea as league title contenders at all. They are nowhere near same level as Manchester City, which is the obvious favorite again.

There is no doubt we are going to have tough competition for top rank and this is not easy game for any club right now Chelsea is having few issues in last season and right now they are still having same because change of management is having serious trouble for them with Tuchel is already complaining about this, but new management is still not giving required funds which are not good for team and their performance in the future.
 
They have few quality players but after watching preparation from other English clubs look like they are far behind and can face serious problems because in current season we have good work in transfer market by Tottenham and Arsenal which are tough challenger for them and can put them out of top four race.

Manchester City is having tag of favorite team in Champions League in every season, and they never won this in last few years even having strong enough squad mean just having star players is never been guarantee to win any trophy they need good team combination and understanding between players which will be happened after play few matches.

However people shouldn't forget that they are just unofficial games that don't mean a lot. People should just focus on the new season now and wait for the teams to show their real power. The problem is that regardless of anyone trying to tackle, still those who can emerge and become winners of the league over the last few seasons are only two clubs and that has happened since the 2017/2018 season and even then only 1 time Manchester City has been shifted by Liverpool so it is quite clear that the dominance feels here that given City.

I don't Chelsea can challenge for the title this season, they can't compete with the likes of Manchester city and Liverpool, Manchester city are the obvious candidate while Liverpool follows the only doubt is that we don't know if they are going to miss sadio mane, we don't know if Luis Diaz will perform now that mane has left or Darwin Nunes can adapt quickly in the premier League, Tottenham Hotspur for me are better than Manchester United and Chelsea because they have Antonio Conte and they have also strengthen with the players Conte demand while arsenal might beat Chelsea in the final spot for the champions League position if they can continue from where they stop last season.

It is hard in the beginning to recruit players to a team that played near or in the relegation zone for most of the time. I believe Newcastle could be a top team if they invest on it the right way, just as City!
It requires a top manager, someone like Guardiola or Klopp and a couple of good signing. No need for top expensive players but good underrated ones that will make the surprise. Nevertheless, this needs some time, like 2-3 seasons before seeing them eventually in European spot or even in CL one.

You will not make me to under look pre season. Preseason friendlies are very important matches. It is so important that it defines the future of a particular player in a club more than main matches. When season ends players and coaches switch clubs. It is during the pre season that coaches evaluate their old and new players and from the evaluation will for his starting eleven for that season. It is during pre season that some.players lose jersy to other players. It is very difficult to start a player that had some dreadful pre season.

Above all pre season is a moral.boost for a player and club as whole. If you can score in pre season, you will be confident to score during the season.

Chelsea may not have any financial problems, but they need to struggle more to get the players than they expect. This is like the previous season, yes, Chelsea still needs stronger players again, moreover, after they cannot get Raphinha, Lewandowski, and Kunde. Moreover, some of their good players also want to leave. Well, they really need more promising players again to sign.
In my opinion,  for this Premier League, the biggest candidate is Man City.
