I wish more teams would strive for leadership. Clubs other than Arsenal and Manchester City should not allow the gap in the standings to widen. After all, this is the Premier league. A league where we don't know who will be the champion at the beginning of each season. Chelsea and Liverpool have lost points this week. But this is not just losing points, they also lose their faith in the season. Fan expectations are dwindling. Arsenal deserves all the praise. Manchester City is in constant pursuit. Apart from these two teams, I would like other teams to participate in the race.

One of the most exciting part of the English Premier League is its unpredictability. Even bottom placed teams has the potential of winning top-class teams. It is really pleasant to see teams like Newcastle United, Brighton and Fulham becoming very competitive this season. But the challenge most of these teams have is inconsistency due to lack of quality players. Their performance tend to decline if their key players are not available due to injuries because they might not have high quality replacements. Liverpool's poor run this season is becoming unbearable because they have the right players and technical staff. It might be they are going through their trying times or they need a change of coach.

Man United's front line is not a serious problem but it would be better if Man United had to find a new striker considering that Ronaldo is not young anymore and there will always be a possibility that Ronaldo will leave Man United in the next transfer window. 1-0 is not a comfortable victory and we all know that Man United had to work hard to get this win, fortunately, they have De Gea and their defense played pretty well in this match (for Maguire at least he didn't make many fatal mistakes).

I didn't see the game, but according to the statistics, United were just lucky to take 3 points in this game: shots on target 3-5, corners 5-10 in favor of West Ham. I'm glad that De Gea showed himself in all his glory and I hope this will help him regain his confidence. But it is obvious that United should play better both in attack and in defense, more productive (or just lucky) teams with this number of attempts will score at least one goal. It is interesting after the emergency signings that United made against the backdrop of a disastrous start whether the club has any reserves left to operate during the winter transfer window.

It was a very good purchase from ARsenal to bring Jesus to London. I'm not saying it's just because of him that they play so well and are on top now, but it does have a big influence. I think Chelsea was disgraceful this last game, having to allow Brighton to score you four goals is laughable and the way error were just made at every point of the game by Chelsea players was frustrating. Imagine having to substitute two goal keepers in the game and both conceded. Also the formation used by the Potter side was a joke, Potter was punished for underestimating his former side. He thought he knew them not knowing, the Brighton side has evolve since he left.

Why wasn't Aubameyang started, you can't start playing players out of position at this early stage of the season. We also had Broja he could have started instead of Havertz as a false striker. I just hope potter isn't going on the same path as Thomas Tuchel, players should be played at their best position, also our wingback can't be Pulisic and Sterling, this guys are attack minded and not good defensively. Those wings need players like Chilwell and I think the formation going forward should be 433 as we don't have James to play a 352 formation.

Premier League qualification was challenging for Newcastle even a few seasons ago. Such a team is now fourth in the Premier League points table. This is truly commendable. Although they are performing well. But they do not have star players in their squad. If they had tried to sign star players in previous seasons, no player would have been interested in joining Newcastle, because they had not any future. Newcastle has solidified their place in the Premier League this season. Now they can offer to bring in star players. They have a lot of money, their performance is now stable. If they can get the players they need in the squad now, they will strengthen themselves and compete for titles in the next few seasons.

Actually in the last few seasons it is still the same because even though we can say the Premier League is a league that is difficult to predict in terms of champions but in the end only 2 teams are always exceeding expectations and fighting to the end.
This season we saw a lot of surprises which were not very favorable for the big teams but maybe I was expecting something different at least for the next half of the season.
