you are right. it's a one game match and chances are literally equal. MU proved they can achieve a result even with stronger team so 3.5 for MU winning the FA Cup is a good bet.

I don't know why everyone pays attention to the replacement of the goalkeeper - this is the tenth thing to pay attention to in a game where it is assumed that City will dominate and United as a whole will have few scoring chances. I am not a fan of this kind of rotation for an important game like that. I think it also is different for the team in certain situations during the game when you want to pass the ball back or you know how your goalkeeper will react to specific situations. When you play 45 to 50 games with one goalkeeper and only few with the other goalkeeper, I can't help but think that it must feel different for the players. But Guardiola sticks to his own rules here and as far as I know Ortega played all FA Cup games this season and in that regard Guardiola's decision is somehow logical and the players knew what to expect. But still if they were equal in quality, it is a difference if one goalkeeper has all the routine from all those high level games in a whole season.

It is at least not the best start for Manchester United, but Gündogan took that one well. In a league game it still all good and it is one game of many, but you definitely don't want to start into a final like that... This goal could mean a lot for the rest of the game as United now has to do what they actually wanted to avoid and for City this is a welcome opener of course. Every time when City takes the lead it doesn't seem that the opponent has good chances to come back into the game.

It is a difficult situation for Manchester United usually a quick goal can mess up a player's mentality at least in the first half

The pattern of fast attacks carried out by Man City players always surprises the opponent's defense. But yeah, the goal that Man City got in this match really surprised everyone. Because even that was the fastest goal which was less than 1 minute since the game started. I think Manchester United just let their guard down in the first few minutes. Because in the following minutes we also saw Manchester United also starting to build attacks quickly. despite always failing to penetrate the Man City defense. and instead Man City responded with several other fast attacks. but yeah this time Manchester United is also able to overcome it. so now the competition becomes more fierce. and I like how the tempo of the game is very aggressive displayed by both teams.

It was a Manchester City tactic that worked really well, as the kickoff ball went straight to the keeper and then, the keeper hit a great long pass. With that said, I think it's clear that Manchester United's players are still not fully ready and so, I personally believe Manchester United probably won't be able to score a goal in this match. If I'm not false, it was the fastest goal in the final where Gundogan only needed 12/13 seconds to score. I think this is a sign that Manchester City will win the FA Cup title today although there is still plenty of time to earn some distinction. After successfully getting a quick goal at the start of the match, Manchester City immediately showed their quality by dominating the game which kept Manchester United from being able to get out of the pressure. Manchester City managed to lock up the Manchester City players with a short passing style of play, until the game had lasted 32 minutes, there was not a single chance that Manchester United had that endangered Manchester City's goal.

Guardiola really understands the conditions that occur on the field, the first half absolutely belongs to Manchester City. Manchester United had to change tactics in the second half to get out of the pressure, Ten Hag needed to make a change in strategy to catch up with Manchester City.
