I don't agree if you say Manchester United is in a slump, logically how can a team that is in a slump be able to finish in the top four. Pochettino is a good coach and had good experience with Premier League. He built up Tottenham with limited resources and transfer budget, even helped Tottenham to play in a Champions League final. A few seasons later, Pochettino did not break out more so it can be his limit or Chelsea will be a club where he can win titles, Premier League and Champions League.

I wouldn't even blame Lampard for anything aas he came late to the party and then was asked to fix what couldn't be fixed within just a couple of weeks. Fundamental mistakes have been made and there are really better jobs out there then fixing a plethora of problems within a club in a short period of time, but I can understand that Lampard went for it. He saw an opportunity for himself and was hoping to turn it around and perhaps get a chance for a long-term contract. Most people would have done the same and I wouldn't say it was a mistake to hire him temporarily. But the damage was done before. Now they are off to a fresh restart, but their way back up is a long one.

Agree, Frank Lampard is never been blamed as what happen to Chelsea in this last season with he joined when ship was already drowned if we can blame anyone its owner which done few big mistakes just by his own and have result like this which is surely shocking for the fans but here I also agreed instead of hiring him as temporary if they talk about long term contract then surely we can expect better result from him but its another mistake from new management of the Chelsea which create big mess-up, and now they are looking for the new start of next season with new coach and many changes which are surely important before start and having good situation for them to start with positive mindset.

I don't really know Lampard's qualities as a coach that much as I haven't been following him and his work recently, but I am just saying that he can't really be blamed for missing the Champions League qualification. That was already over when Potter finally left and that decision took way too long. They should have sacked him much earlier, but they were too proud to admit that he was the wrong choice as a manager. It is actually a bit sad that a guy like Lampard didn't really have a fair chance here. I think these young guys can be great coaches as you can see with Xabi Alonso. They are doing good work. Although there is a good chance that Chelsea might have been too big of a club and too early for Lampard.

There are team that wont still made the top four next season, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Chelsea, they still have a lot to do in their team to be able to play the champions league again. Manchester united and Newcastle are balanced team and they wont lose the spot four next season, they are also title contenders for next season.

it will take chelsea and pochettino a very long time to play in Europe football again, no body should expect magic from him  next season. the club is messed up already.

However, Manchester United did well when they flipped Newcastle, so don't be surprised to see both Manchester United and Newcastle start fucking up next season. I don't know what I've seen, but next season is going to be difficult, and many good clubs will fuck up a lot. Liverpool, is still struggling with the new players they bought after the world cup. they are still struggling to settle in the premier league. if kloop change tactic and buy new players that can settle fast, then they can still fight for top four next season.

Lampard may not be the reason why they weren't bad, but he is certainly not a big help neither and I am expecting him not to be that great neither. This is why it is quite important to realize that he is not going to be helping them all that much neither, that's not how it works at all.

I personally believe that he is going to cause the team to be about the same as this season so they are going to sack him and get someone else. He was just the interim and he is not going to be staying for much longer. However, if by some miracle he stays and he is the manager for next season, I bet that they are not going to do that much better, not saying they will worse, they may do a little bit better, but not all that much, they need to be a lot better than what they did this season and Lampard can't make that happen.

They made an overhaul at the start of the season with Conte as their tactician and actually it was a little successful in making them try the season at the start but indeed when the schedule was indeed unscheduled especially with the conditions aggravated by the world cup they became very chaotic and in the end Conte gave up which actually this was also a slightly difficult decision for Tottenham.
The change of coach in mid-season made them even more chaotic and inevitably they had to accept being in 8th place at the end of the season.

This is an amazing feat for ETH in its first season. he really took Man United over that line. This man is different from Sir Alex and Man United's management needs to support him to build Man United stronger in the next season.

Overall, Ten Hag deserves to be praised. He took a big risk by coming to Man United. That second season was when he really started to apply his style. But if he doesn't have his new players in before pre-season it becomes much more difficult.

There were a number of problems that occurred but it's good that Ten Hag in this case weren't too daunted by the existing problems and they managed to sort it out. well in the end to be in ideal position for the season, 2 times being in finals and 1 trophy is definitely a great depiction that they are completely different this season.
Even though next season there must still be a number of things that need to be changed, especially for their defense which is sometimes very ridiculous, at the moment there is still plenty of time to do that.

I don't think it would be the right thing to call Manchester United like they have been in a slump. On the contrary there is a big development in their playing style and results. Because they finished the 2021/2022 season in the 6th place and barely saved a ticket for the Europa League. But in this season things changed a lot. They finished in the 3rd place and they are finally a part of the Champions League as well. These all happened thanks to Erik ten Hag's system. He helped some players show their skills even in a better way as well.

For example there is a huge difference between Rashford's performances in the 2021/2022 season and this one. He has been like a goal machine above all else. And of course he has started to make more assists and be much less selfish. Hence I see a bright future for Manchester United now.
