Liverpool has recovered somewhat well from the bad start to the competition. Newcastle the greatest success, but it was also a good year for Brighton and Aston Villa, both of whom can now start a European campaign. Arsenal have left a dreamlike season behind. This must be their most consistent season in the recent years despite the point losses on last weeks of the season. Because I never remember them getting this much close to even win the EPL title. Arsenal have really young players in general. There are only two 30-year-old players and one 31-year-old player.

Despite this fact Arteta did an incredible work by keeping the team focused on the main target. In fact I don't think their main target was to win the league title. It was rather to join the Champions League undoubtedly. But somehow they stayed in it for a long time. However it is really hard to do the same thing twice if they keep the same squad and don't change it at all. I hope to see some new players to make the team more solid considering that they are gonna compete in the Champions League also.

When Arsenal were at the top of the standings for a while I also had a chance to feel maybe this season would belong to Arsenal after decades they had not been able to win the title again, but unfortunately their achievements had to stop towards the end of the season because they often got less than optimal results.

However, it should be appreciated for Arsenal's performance this season, moreover Mikel Arteta has been able to make this team start to be respected again for the EPL next season. Indeed it looks like Arsenal will only be content for one Champions League ticket next season and I can't wait for their miraculous performance.

Arsenal often did a worse performance in 2nd half of the season. It didn't only happen this season, they also did it in the previous seasons. I think Arsenal must consider strengthening the squad with more experienced players, they don't focus on young players only. Besides the tactics, the players' mentality brings a big impact on the match. Experienced players have a better mentality than young players, it is what Arsenal lost this season on their squad. They have too small squad and have too few experienced players.

Despite this fact Arteta did an incredible work by keeping the team focused on the main target. In fact I don't think their main target was to win the league title. It was rather to join the Champions League undoubtedly.

Yep. Arteta has done a great job although he failed to win the EPL title. He deserves to manage Arsenal a longer time, he can win a title in the future if he has a better squad. His main target should be winning the title, not only participating in UCL.

And not even made it to European football. I think there is only one problem with this selection and that is the capacity of the trainer, they have not appointed them properly. If you put a good trainer on this, you can just make a very good team out of it and they should be able to easily finish in the top 5 of the competition. Quite a job, but the toughest job at the moment is to find a good manager who is willing to lead Chelsea to new glory.

Since Arsenal lost the English Premier League title to Manchester City, I've always been of the opinion that Arsenal should be excused from the harsh blames from their bittered fans and some media outlets.
Manchester City owners invested huge in the club and today they're actually reaping the fruit of their investment because they've got a club that can peacefully thrash any other European club with ease. That is what Arsenal owners needs to do to make Arsenal a major contender for the title come next season

Of course everyone judged midway through this season that Arsenal would be champions but the fact is Arsenal have failed again which is quite painful this season. Arsenal have been top of the table for a long time in this season but at the end of the season they can be knocked out by manchester city, I remember when arteta said that the remaining games at the end of the season would be the final for them at that time but they failed to do so after they lost  and a loss that allowed Manchester city to shift their ranking and secure the EPL trophy this season.

I think that next season the competition for the title will be more difficult for Arsenal because the other teams will be stronger and will make next season's competition even more interesting. Apart from that, Liverpool, who also failed to close the season in 4th place this season, of course, have suffered a significant setback this season. It already is now but the pressure is mounting if they want to promote the Chelsea brand globally. They have to qualify for the Champions League or otherwise the desired recognition would be so much lower. The threat is also huge now that a lot of players want to leave and they can't replace because them because everybody wants to play the Champions League. If it is true that Real Madrid is interested in Kai Havertz, why would he even want to stay in Chelsea if he can play on the highest level with Madrid?

Manchester City are soaring high in flying colors this year, one more final to be won to cap it all with a treble for City and Guardiola. They have indeed been very lucky this season with injuries and other players stepping up in crucial games when the key players fail to seize the spot light. Against Real Madrid we saw Bernado Silva stepping up and yesterday Gundogan taking the stage, it's amazing how everything has been working in their favour this year.

One of the most stubborn coach Manchester City has had is Pep, I didn't get expect to see De Bruyne and Haaland in that final because eof fear of injuries but he let them play complete 90 minutes with confidence not until 70+ before he later make substitution for De Bruyne, and I believe the same players will be going for the Champions League, there ball strategy and winnings need to be study because what we are used to see Championship is winning a domestic league and other big leagues but Manchester City seems to have bagged known difficult leagues that we know.

I don't want Haaland to be the next Ballon D'or guy but I hope it wouldn't be tagged as "cheat" when Manchester City win the Champions League and they give it to Messi for winning just the World Cup and France domestic league, they should let the new Champions competite instead of the old guys we are use to every season.

You forgot yet another name, R. Mahrez. He became such a dangerous player at a time, making accurate crosses that turned into an assist and even getting to score needed goals like his hat-trick against Sheffield United in the FA cup semi finals. The game was all R. Mahrez and Pep just knows how to rotate and use these players to his advantage.

The current holder of the title isn't one of fhe old guys, is it. K. Benzema was more than deserving for what he did with Real Madrid. I think in this round, they would do the next best thing in giving it to E. Haaland. His goals served such purpose in propelling Manchester City through the leagues.

With his achievements this season, which is like a robot, because he scored a lot of goals, including the top scorer in the EPL and Champions League, I don't think there is any reason to say this is cheating, but in this case there will still be lots of other judgments, including the world cup too. will definitely count now.
But if in the end he does become the nominee and win he's actually pretty decent in this case too.

They are the perfect team in the world and the managers of other teams say the same and they mean it. Often times they claim to be the underdog for tactical reasons, but these days when they say that Manchester City is beyond doubt the best team in the world, they do mean what they say. It's sometimes funny how Guardiola is trying to portray his team as being far from perfect, but I noticed that now he more often points out that they are indeed very close to perfect. It is part of his job to keep them grounded, but when everyone sees how they play and Guardiola tries to play it down, it's interesting.

Although it is not impossible that in his opinion they are far from perfect sometimes. I can't even imagine what a trauma it would be for him if he loses this final. He has been trying for so long now and frankly speaking, his teams are the best most of the time.

I do not think that it will be that simple, it's obvious that we are going to see them do as well as they hope for and that's going to be the case for a very long time. I believe that we shouldn't really be worried about anything but City for any cup, if you are a team that wants to win something, you will have to go through City first, they are the top team. Look at Arsenal this season, they have done so well for so long and at the very end they lost it, that's a sad situation for them but there was nothing they could do about it.

I hope that they do better in the end, but I believe that it will be a very difficult situation for Arsenal or United or LFC or basically any team to win. The only option I can see is Newcastle and not this one, the owner is super rich which means maybe in the future they can get superstars that can rival.

Expect Newcastle to do well next season. Because this season the team started to perform well but since Manchester City team secured the title. As such next season looks promising for Newcastle.

Arsenal was on the verge of winning the English Premier League, but things changed along the way, as they failed to maintain their consistency in league games and dropped points. It wasn't a positive sign from the club to their supporters; one minute they were certain of being proclaimed winners, the next minute their mood shifted with sad expressions on the faces of the players and supporters. The winter transfer window barely brings what the clubs are actually needing and wanting. Chelsea bought big time during the winter and everyone knows how that ended. They have spent 209 million Euro and set the record for the highest sum paid on transfers during a winter period ever. Sometimes minor improvements can be possible or when they need to fill a gap it can also work, but usually you can't bring on quality that makes the squad even stronger. I won't say this can never work, but it is not a proper standard plan to build the squad and Chelsea has proven that once and for all. Arsenal didn't think themselves that they would be competing for the top for so long I guess.

The fact about Chelsea is they spent so much money and had one of the most expensive players and coaches in the premier league but they didn't invest the money in the right place and the performance of Chelsea when they had was really disappointing even from the start of the season.

I think Pep Guardiola is not stubborn because he knows how difficult it is to win the treble winner so he has to field all of his core players against Manchester United. Well, everything went according to what he planned, where Pep Guardiola managed to bring Manchester City to win the FA Cup trophy and one more step, they will strengthen themselves to win the treble winner if they beat Inter Milan in the Champions League final.

Indeed, in the category of winning the Ballon D'or, I don't really understand how voting is done to determine who deserves to get it this season. But I agree with you that if Haaland wins it, of course there is no cheating that will be debated because he really falls into all categories that require him to get the Ballon D'or. Hopefully Haaland can get the ucl trophy and that will strengthen him as a player who will get the Ballon D'or this season.
