Curtis Jones was massive today and scored twice. Liverpool really bossed the midfield and the wings. Leaving no chance for West Ham to do anything about it. Next up against the league leaders in Arsenal who are just 1 point ahead but it's a home game for Liverpool at Anfield.  The title race is heating up between the top 5. Spurs and Man City are lagging but can always make a push back to top by heating up. Much easier for City in that respect as Spurs are really struggling with injuries.

Don't joke with Jurgen Klopp who's humbled in appearance, there's a whole lot he can achieved with Liverpool in the current ongoing season. Liverpool have given us another thing to go home and deal with after they humiliated Westham United at Anfield tonight. This match have become one the easiest victory for the Reds this season, perhaps we thought David Moyes and his men will give Jurgen Klopp tough time but it turn out they're only threats that can not absorb any pressure posing in from Liverpool. Watching the highlights of the match and there's nothing concerning other than witnessing the 5-1 scores. David Moyes will go back and restrategized to ensure his side doesn't concede more goals as of today against Liverpool which the Hammers have found to be embarrassing.

Yeah from 17 matches we have 3-4 teams who have been at the top of the standings meaning that struggles and shifts are still occurring so I agree that there is no team that is truly safe it's just waiting for the moment to overtake each other moreover each team at the top of the standings is only 1 point away if one of them draws then the other team will take over, like in the last match when Liverpool were at the top of the standings and drew later on the same day Arsenal took over. Talking about the Premier League means tight competition, weak teams have the opportunity to beat strong teams.

Alot of Movement in the clubs positions in the coming days because most of the bigger clubs who may have been pushed behind due to the mistakes are taking a bounce back very soon and clubs like Manchester City will never let the first spot go just like that,  and if you have being following their pattern in the last season you noticed that the stayed below the first spot on the league table for a long time,  although that time Manchester city occupy a second position not like now that there have gone below to 4th positions which show that a lot needs to be done by the club to make a good possible come back.

This stage will birth a lot of records and we may be taken by surprise by what may happen in this round,  but then let's just watch through and see what becomes the reality with many of clubs.

I think you are forgetting Aston Villa who has been impressive since the start of the season. Don't write them off, they won both Manchester City and Arsenal within two weeks and you think they are not dangerous or to be considered as a contender for the league? As for Manchester City they will rediscover their form very soon am sure of this.

No doubt, Manchester City will find their form again when all of their injured players return to the team by January next year. I'm looking forward to seeing Kelvin Bruyne, who suffered a hamstring injury in the Manchester City opening match against Burnley.

Manchester City have fallen from the top and their previous performances have become flopping and not a welcome development for the club.

I am just surprised that Manchester City performance started dropping all of a sudden, they dropped from the first position and are currently in the 4th position. I don’t know how they will be able to take back the first position because Arsenal and Liverpool are performing incredibly well and they won’t want to drop in position this season. It might not be easy for Manchester City to bounce back easily, this season might be a different one and won’t be like last season for Manchester City.

It won't be easy, but eventually Manchester City will catch up to the teams that are currently above them. The season has only played half of the matches; the other half of the matches still need to be played. Teams that are performing well now may lose form before the end of the season, and teams that are not performing well now may find their form returns to become the best-performing teams.

You are right about your analysis, there are still great moments that we will witness in the league. Manchester City might go ahead to win this league, they were not toping the league by this time last season, and am seeing something similar about to happen this season. As we have always known Liverpool is a big name and they have proven it this night by scoring a very high-margin of of goal against West Ham United. This is not a warning to only Arsenal in the upcoming English Premier League clash, but it is also a warning to Chelsea which is the only big team that is remaining in the EFL Cup. I just checked the starting 11 of Liverpool and discovered that they did not go in with all their big names. They went in with fairly squad that is able to match West Ham United. Jones did the majority of the work from the midfield and got a brace. In the other side, I expected Mohammed Kudus to do something similar, but the match overwhelmed him

Aston Villa is knowledgeable, and they tend to annihilate any opponents who come in their direction. They are ranked third on the table and will go to any length to keep their current position this season. Unai Emery has set targets for this season, refusing to give up on making things better for himself and the club.

I reckon Manchester City are far from having everything to lose as Arsenal's gap to MC is only 5 points, you do realise that's not much, right? Even in a difficult season like this one. Things can change in the second half of this season like they did last time and Manchester City can still fight for the championship

The Premier League is still wide open for clubs like Manchester City,  Arsenal, Liverpool, and even Aston Villa to win. Manchester City can still be the one that will win the Premier League trophy even with their present form.

Yes, they have achieved everything but I don't see that as reason for not performing well this season, I think in because their key players are not fit that why it really affecting them but still the season is still in the middle and who knows the ones on top can withstand to the end of the season, after the transfer window I hope to see almost all their key players back again but they have a lot to do because the points interval between them and the arsenal on top is five points which if they can be in their full form it will be very easy to dethroned Arsenal for the table.

What is really affecting Manchester City this season is injury. We can see some of their important players that are currently on injury, which is the cause of the decline in their performance. Let's see how Manchester City will continue managing and rebuilding the team even without the key players that are on injury, or maybe some of the players will be back soon. But as we can see, not only Manchester City are facing the injury problem, there are some other clubs that are also affected. But let's see if Manchester City will be able to get back to their first position soon. Since the point difference is still kind of close, I still have confidence in Manchester City. I haven't given up yet because there are still a lot of matches to be played.

In this match, Liverpool showed their true strength and succeeded in bringing a pleasant victory to Liverpool fans. West Ham were only given one chance to score a goal, and it seems that this was done on purpose so that West Ham still had the enthusiasm to play on the field. Wes Ham was only seen once trying to kick at Liverpool's goal, but instead Liverpool gave so many kicks at West Ham's goal that it made the West Ham goalkeeper tired.

By logic Liverpool could still win record breaking amount of goals in a year, they just need to win europa and super cup, league and domestic cups look to be alright. I believe only required one is Premier league, if they can win that one, then they will surely feel fine about it and no other win will matter. Premier league title could be highest falling just short of UCL but better than anything else than any team could ever win

I'm curious to observe the big winnings, to know if Westham United can be able to stand out to winning  another tough side, moreover Manchester United should not be regarded as am elite side this season, they're inconsistent and very vulnerable to losses when their key man is unavailable for matches. Westham United got humbled by Liverpool at Anfield and now they will look forward to face Manchester United next. This is an essential game that both sides wouldn't afford to lose out because maintaining consistent performance is the main target.

Heating you say that makes me giggle but, it’s I hope you said and not that they would actually do it and with that, I hold my peace to when such fixture comes up. Although, I strongly believe, Manchester United would have a hard time beating West Ham United if they could. They’ve been having great games while facing most of the mid tier teams, keeping good tabs on them except for Bournemouth that had them in their bag. But I don't think that's the case because Liverpool will really take advantage of every competition they participate in this season to become champions this season. Even though it requires a process, they have shown strong signs that Liverpool wants to get lots of trophies this season. I think the league cup is not really focused on by some teams but I think that's wrong because every team and the coaches want to present lots of trophies to the team every season so they focus on game after game with full energy.

In the Premier League, Liverpool are also at the forefront and what they have to do is maintain their performance so as not to lose points. In Europe league, Liverpool is also considered the strongest team compared to other teams. So Salah et al can maximize every match by winning for get a trophy this season.

In sometimes you will reason how a certain experienced coach will make a silly mistake even you as a spectator will not make.  That is football for you. Could you imagine that few days ago Liverpool was unable to score against Manchester United despite delivering about 30 shots. But today the same Liverpool have scored 5 goals against West Ham. If you are considering this, it means Manchester United should be able to score upto three goals against West Ham United and win them eventually, but football does not seems straight forward. Let us see what will happen between Manchester United and West Ham United.

Liverpool, successfully overthrew West Ham with a big score of 5-1. in fact, we can predict this match beforehand, if Liverpool will win this fight. in this match, referring to statistics, Liverpool really played dominantly and didn't provide many opportunities for the opposing team. honestly, I have to admit that now Jurgen Kloop's squad is showing a different appearance than last season. specifically, early in the 2022-23 season. now before heading to the final round of the EFL competition, Liverpool must defeat Fulham first. after that, Jurgen Klopp's squad has the potential to win the EFL trophy. and I'm quite sure, their probability is quite large compared to other teams. and it seems that Chelsea will be a strong challenger to meet Liverpool in this final match. even though this is just an assumption and speculation, these two teams have great opportunities and potential. and if at the end Liverpool and Chelsea advance to the final round, yeah, we know that Liverpool's performance is more stable and their game is quite impressive. so, let's just wait before we go too far in speculating. at least, Liverpool's chance of winning the EFL competition trophy is very close to them. however, in football it is unique and quite difficult to predict accurately and correctly. there's no other way, we'll make sure first when Liverpool play the match against Fulham later.

Hahaha, Manchester United cannot repeat the same scoreline for several reasonns which we both are aware of. If this scoreline is repeated; then it is probably West Ham United thrashing Manchester United. The old trafford lads are poor in form and ridiculous in possession. A win for the mufc boys will be a surprise to me.

Liverpool really demolished West Ham in the EFL Cup today. Klopp actually rotated the squad a little and most importantly Salah wasn't in the starting lineup. But it was still not an obstacle for Liverpool to dominate the game from the beginning to the end. That 5-1 win was really convincing and a needed one for Liverpool as well.

Because despite being seen dominant they were really bad at finishing against Manchester United. This game must have been a big help to get over that. Now they have a really tough game ahead which is against Arsenal. It is very critical for the lead and I think Liverpool will win there.

There was a massive decline that is happening to the westham. I meant that if westham was not performing so well in the EPL. This is also signalling that if westham would be bottling its chance in another competition as well.
Liverpool was always losing once it was using the secondary squad but surprisingly it was able beating westham with huge scores. This is the main problem owned by westham. The club managed by David Moyes has been displaying a high level of inconsistency during this period, and this is evident in the unfavorable results they have been obtaining against Liverpool's secondary club. Im surprising to see that happens to the liverpool. Westham was playing differently against liverpool tonight. It likes westham has lost its good performance this season.
Since the early season, Westham has been performing exceptionally well, but it is now encountering difficulties as the season progresses. Moyes needs to do something to saves his club from missing more points in EPL.

I completely agree with you, there are things we cannot predict perfectly even the final results can change far from our expectations, for example, several matches in Serie A often experience this. Sometimes that is also my reason not to place bets on 1x2 and prefer both teams to score especially in the Premier League, the competition is very tight. By the way, in this match Liverpool played exactly the same as when they played against Manchester United with almost 30 shots and 11 of them on target it's just that the final result is different so we can assume that Liverpool was unlucky against Manchester United or Manchester who implemented the right strategy.

I wonder why Liverpool is playing the main squad when this week Liverpool have an important match against Arsenal, the match in the Premier League should be more important because they will be fighting for the top of the standings or maybe Liverpool are too confident and can overcome Arsenal when playing at home?. In my opinion, this is a difficult match that is not easy to predict, there are no guarantees for Liverpool even if they play at home.

Guardiola is a very experienced coach. This season, Manchester City's performance in the Premier League has been somewhat erratic due to the weakness of the midfield, but Manchester City has been able to continue its dominance in the Champions League. And I suspect Guardiola will try to find the weaknesses in his squad very quickly. And stabilize the team again.

Certainly, Pep has ample experience and his tactically astute mind is enough to address the current issues at Mancity. There's still plenty of time ahead, including a whole second leg, for Mancity to regain their position. It must be added that this season is quite dramatic with new and uncomfortable contenders like Aston Villa.

The current issue with Mancity is evidently in the midfield; they are overly reliant on Rodri, so when he's absent, Mancity encounters problems. Additionally, the long-term injury to Kevin De Bruyne has posed significant challenges for Mancity. In the immediate future, if Pep can effectively address the midfield problem, find high-quality alternatives, and blend them with a sensible playing style, I believe the Champions League and Premier League titles are within their reach.

I do not actually understand the excuse of financial fair play. How many players did they buy that will warrant the implementation of the fair play rule. I thought in the last window, Manchester United sold some players like Antony Elanga, Fred, Da Gea and so. If it is that important, they can sell some other players like Martial, Rashford, Malacia and some others and get in new blood.

It's a valid excuse actually. I read that they already spent a total of £412 million the last two summers and that means they  have little room to wiggle. They are more focused on offloading players in January transfer so they could have more options in the off-season. The thing is that other teams will not just accept MU's price for their players so it won't be smooth transactions.

De Gea wasn't sold by the way - his contract with MU expired.
I also expect Martial to be sold since his contract is expiring at the end of the season.

You managed to describe the course of the Brenford vs Aston Villa match well, meaning you watched the match. I didn't watch it at the time, but when I saw the statistics of both teams then of course what you said was true. Aston Villa dominated the match and won 3 points in the end, but in essence Aston Villa really had difficulty winning the match because Brentford's defense was very strong.

The squad coached by Unai Emery deserves high appreciation for its good performance so far. Aston Villa has 4 more points than Manchester City in the standings and that makes Villa in 3rd place in the standings currently. The players' motivation is good, but maintaining the team's performance in the Premier League is very difficult. We'll see if Aston Villa can maintain their good form into the second half of the season, but I doubt them.

Aston Villa really had difficulty finding space to score goals because Brentford's defense was so good in the first half and they were even able to play neatly in the second half before two goals occurred in the final 20 minutes of the game. There was tension between Martinez and the Brentford players so that the referee gave Kamara a slightly controversial red card, but because the match was almost over, Brentford was unable to take advantage of player's advantage to equalize.

It is not easy to maintain consistency because the Premier League is quite different and Unai Emery must be careful not to suffer defeat in the next match. The competition will be much more competitive and Aston Villa will be required to play much better. One point is different from the top of the standings and Aston Villa can take advantage of the Liverpool vs Arsenal match to move up to first place if the match ends in a draw.
