Josh, I know you guys are super busy, but when is the compensation to blade customers going to be paid out? I understand the Furys aren't here until May 26th (I bought 3 blades in this time period), but I also bought a Blade from GAW that falls into the 'free' 5-chip bracket. I filled out the survey link you posted but haven't heard anything back? Rami said he would have to find out, I presume that meant asking you?

Trying to resolve a few minor issues with my order and am getting a little frustrated at support not being able to find my orders, not sure if you are having system problems, Thomas just told me that my "order was for something else from another person's account" which is rather weird considering I have the invoice in my hand and the blades sat here with me!!

Hi, send me the ticket number through PM, and I will jump on it.

As far as the 5 chips go, I just asked them to close it out. They will ship monday Smiley

Josh, thank you for sorting this out for me so quickly, much appreciated! Great customer service from GAW as usual. Cool

Hey Gaw,

What's the status of our price reduction credit for buying the Gen A early? Do we have to email you our order number? Have not seen or heard anything, then again, I might have missed the info in this lengthy thread.

Thanks guys! Keep up the good work!

Yes I seen it earlier he has agreed to automatically credit existing orders for the GEN A miners whether they are hosted or not

I just did some math on power consumption and I really hope there is an error somewhere:

Gridseed small: 20W per MH/s
Gridseed blade: 17W per MH/s
Fury: 30W per MH/s
Black Widow: 25W per MH/s
Falcon: 24W per MH/s
War Machine: 24W per MH/s
Big Gun: 28W per MH/s

Even assuming 10% overestimate on power consumption and 20% underestimate on performance, these numbers are worse than Gridseed, let alone Innosilicon.

However Zeus gives different numbers for their miners (roughly 13W per MH/s), so hopefully theirs are correct.

Any chance of GAW responding to these, and the other issues, that are being repeatedly raised and then drowned out by fan-boys gushing all over this thread?

Seriously, this is a big deal, 28nm ASIC miners are here now, properly power-efficient ones, not the half-assed Gridseed miner that was just barely better than a GPU, so why the awful power usage on these GAW miners?

Gotta Ask.
Has anyone that purchased through paypal, actually gotten their refund? I don't know which end is having the problem, but with close to 4k for my order starting to get a little concerned. Not to mention missing the opportunity to reorder week one.

Terry from Zeusminers says in his last update:

As announced already in our last update: In order to assure the earliest shipping date possible, our miners will be shipped out with an approximate hashing rate of 13 MH/s @ 380 W per blade. Those are still very conservative numbers and we are certain that with our future firmware update from the community and from us, hashrate and power consumption will improve significantly.

This is more like 29W per Mh/s.
I don't think they can improve this by much with new firmware, otherwise they would have done so already.

Yesterday I ordered a Falcon, I hope this was not a bad decision.
Now I see GAW is going to sell Innosilicon as well, had I known this before I would have waited for a 30Mh/s A2 Terminator.
Probably somewhat more expensive, but in my country 1kW/h costs $0.30, drawing less power is therefore very important.

I don't want to order from a different company because the service of GAW-Miners second to none!

That's true.
The support team is very patient and competent, they helped me a lot with a hateful problem on my blade trying many solutions.

Thomas, Luke, Tara... thank you again for your patience

No PayPal refund for me yet.
Last email said it would be today but maybe GAW can post a status update re: the PayPal refunds.

Also,

I was just informed that we have the ability to auto credit each person. So there is NOT a need to send in a ticket, we will automatically credit you the difference. This will be done in the next 48 hours.

No price drop credit received here either.

I'm sure it is all being worked on but it would be nice to get these two things resolved.

Well I have been in contact with PayPal about my specific order and they informed me that they didn't see any issues with my order and did not see where a refund would be issued, unless I had a problem with the order. So not sure what is going on at this point.

Roads can sometimes be a bit bumpy, so is the road GAW is riding on along with it's customers.

I've been with them for quite a while now and to be honest my experience wasn't always 100% positive but what makes GAW stand out from other is they will do everything in their power to make me experience 100% positive. And guess what, every time I run into a bump they have taken care of me. If it's a blade stuck in reboot mode, a blade running only on one 'leg' or a pool switch which doesn't work. They have managed to get me going time after time.

Today again I ran into a bump and Luke helped me out again.

Heads up for the GAW team, and I can't wait for the new miners to come online.

Cheers

Hey everyone, I will hit a few questions.

PayPal has all they need to issue the refunds. I am not sure why they have not. It's weird how quick they are to hold our money, but how much they take their time to give it back.

I have set aside hardware equal to what everyone ordered. So no know one will get left out when they order.

I can officially confirm we have three new data centers coming online Smiley one is actually built by a power plant.

I was sitting with two friends the other day and one was talking about how knc built their own data center. Them the other looked at me and said, haven't you had to build four for your customers Josh? We all lakughed.

Lastly, good questions on the power, I will get back to you guys Smiley

I couldn't hold out. Smiley I was going to stay with the 5.2 but since hosting was added back and $499 for roughly 8mH/s increase seemed like a good deal. I messed up on the payment and Luke, Thomas, and Jonathon all responded to help. Thomas sent almost an instant reply to my email.

Josh, you ever let these guys off to drink a beer, or do you have a dispenser in the data center? Hope this doesn't cause a negative "fanboy" comment, but keep up the good work, and I look forward to prime news.

Look I'm new to this forum but not to mining.  I started mining CPU, moved to a large GPU farm, and now am slowly moving toward hosted ASIC.  I have also tried a few other companies and as such have either lost money or have money tied up in an ever changing release schedule.  I stumbled upon GAW and was probably more sceptical that most of you, and had very little trust.  All I was looking for was a ASIC that they would actually deliver.  So, I made the jump and choose GAW.  Am I glad I did!!!

I have personally spoken to 2 people at the company, once on a Saturday!  The phone rang a few times, went through a switchboard and I had my issue resolved in minutes.  Thier prices are acceptable, their shipping dates are fast, and if you have an issue, their support is spot on.  Look, there are companies out there waiting to take your pre-order money and others just waiting to steal your money outright.  GAW is not one of them....

GAW is as legitimate as they come.  You will not be disappointed in the product or in the support you receive - if you ever need it.  I will be purchasing another one of their new hosted ASIC's soon.

Keep up the good work everyone at GAW!

Going dark for a while. Heading to Alaska then on to Iceland for Project Prime Smiley

So hosting is back, but can you explain something?

Week 1 Fury unhosted is $169.95

Week 1 Fury hosted is $219.95

That's $50 more for hosting.  But on your page you also say there is a 2.5% fee for hosting.  So you're charging an extra $50 as well as taking fees?  Did updates cross one another or something in regards to the site pricing and terms for hosting?  Doing the math @ $0.10/kWh means it'll cost less than $15 to host a Fury for the year power-wise, exact numbers being $14.60, whereas the 2.5% fee will collect $14.40 (using current LTC diff + pricing for everything).  So for hosting the price is really, over the course of one year, $219.95 + the 2.5% fee, so $234.35.

Is that right?  Since Josh is heading to the land of the elves can someone else at GAW comment on this?

Good question
