After the expected defeat, or rather humiliation, Ajax are now down and last in the Eredivisie table for the first time with 5 defeats in a row.

I am curious if Ajax can still turn the tide, it would be a shame for Ajax to play against relegation for the rest of the season.

I think they can turn the tide, because if you see they have a way better team than anyone, the problem is, they are start to be really far from european spots, so they have to turn the tide really fast. The gap is very big at this moment.

I think right now they are really in a downward spiral and this is hard to overcome. But there is some hope left because they still have 2 games less than most of the other teams, which would make it look much less horrible than it is now. If they win those two games, which frankly may not be that realistic, it would still be looking quite differently. With a winning streak they could get close to the upper third of the table pretty quickly, but what are the odds for Ajax to have a winning streak anytime soon?

I think it's way to early to seriously talk about Ajax fighting to avoid relegation. No matter how bad they're looking now, I just don't believe that they will play so bad all season long. Maybe they will make some changes in winter transfer window. I even still wouldn't rule out possibility for them to get into Conference league playoff spots.
There is KNVB cup games this week, but so far nothing very interesting didn't happned. Clubs which play in UEFA competitions will join cup from 2nd round.

agree here regarding Ajax, they are looking as bad as possible at this point, but they will eventually climb in upper half of the table
it is not about their strength or weaknesses, it is about others in the league, there is simply not enough good teams to keep them low for too long

but it is great fun to have them playing relegation derby with Volendam tomorrow, sure that Feyenoord and PSV fans are making memes about that , too bad that I don't have any channels on twitter to follow that

Yeah they'll definitely climb up in the table even though they don't make it to the  Champions League however they'll just suffer for the maintain time until they figure out how to bounce back to their full potential this season,it's really sad for the whole team currently and I'm pretty sure that they can't wait to start performing well again, if only the assistant coach had accepted to take over as the manager maybe with the few ideas he's shared with Erik Ten Hag cause Ajax is made up of young players that are hungry to play all they need is a better coach with good tactics.

 Well it's normal for rival teams to make mockery of their rivals especially when they're performing very poorly like Ajax is doing currently however I expect that Ajax would try to do well against Volendam at least to reduce the embarrassement their fans are receiving currently from rival fans.

Here I have to agree with you about Ajax vs Volendam match, but I have feeling both teams are having equal chance to win this game and bring themselves out of the relegation jail with for me Ajax can take positive turn because they are already at their worst and things need quick change before this have more deep Volendam is having good performance in last few games which are giving them fair chance for the jump at 10th spot after this win.

Ajax having one win from their last eight games are clearly indicating how things are going into this giant club in the Netherlands, they are having one game against Waalwijk 2 - 3 just 7 minutes to hold for the another win which is also required for changing the team momentum right now.

Volendam had that big chance in around 70th minute to score and make the game 1-1. Unbelievble miss by the Volendam player he went one on one with the keeper and the keeper saved it. Thats was their only chance of the match. Overall they parked the bus. Ajax finally got that win in the league and might turn the season around

I know Ajax have been really performing very awful this season but they were impressive against Volendam who they're sharing the relegation spot with, I would had been more embarrassing if Ajax had lost the match, they've needed a win to boost their confidence level and I hope they'll continue to remain consistent and try moving to upwards before it's too late, Ajax have given their fans something to be happy about atleast it would give them hope that they might bounce back sooner.
 
 Ajax have managed to move out of the relegation zone, this is something their fans would be very happy about and I think they need to find a way to remain consistent and improve to try at in the Europa or conference league if finishing in the top 4 is not possible this season, PSV are the current league leaders and the most likely to win the game based on their performance and gap they use in toping the standings currently.

Honestly, I don't know the reason why ajax seems to be flopping this season, after sacking their coach Maurice Steijn last week and appointing Hedwiges Maduro as caretaker coach, let's see if they would be able to make a difference. Maybe their winning against Volendam yesterday might be a liberation point for them.

Ajax being dutch giants that have claimed about 36 league titles is really experiencing their worst run for a long period of time and fans and football lovers are anxious of them coming back to form.

Ajax Amsterdam is known for training and developing young talented players and sell them out to other clubs after they start recording awesome performance by the players. Players like  Cruyff, Marco van Basten, Dennis Bergkamp, Wesley Sneijder and Frenkie de Jong, all these talented players have shown their skills and talents here in Ajax before leaving the club.

After Ajax's victory which allowed them to stay a little above the relegation zone, today we have 4 games and they are games in which 3 of them involve top teams. PSV Eindhoven will play against Heracles Almelo, on paper the difference between these two teams at the moment is a very big difference, with PSV being the leader of the table with 30 points and coming from a sequence of 5 consecutive victories against Heracles Almelo which is in position 8 with 12 points and in the last 5 games they won in just 1 game, had 2 defeats and 2 draws, they become easy targets for PSV to leave with 3 points and further increase the advantage they have in the table in case of other top teams lose points

And talking about points, Feyenoord Rotterdam who are also playing today, cannot afford to lose points in this game against RKC Waalwijk, despite RKC Waalwijk being a team that currently occupy position number 9 and Feyenoord are currently in position number 9. 4, you should not underestimate RKC who in the last 5 games managed to have 3 wins and 2 draws, it is true that when they played against top teams such as PSV and AZ, they lost and conceded 3 or more goals. but Feyenoord is coming off a defeat that, despite being a defeat against a top team, could still mean that their players would not play very motivated. the odds give a clear advantage to Feyenoord

AZ also play today against SBV Excelsior, AZ comes as the favorite in this game, looking at the performance of these two teams in the last games, I see AZ having done better, they have not had any defeat in the last 5 games, and has a sequence of 3 consecutive victories, while Excelsior in the last 5 games had only 2 victories and comes from a sequence of 2 consecutive defeats. In my opinion AZ will win this game

PSV today destroy Heracles with a contundent 6-0, i really like this PSV team, is very offensive and they play quite well, i hope they can go far in europe competitions, and if they can ending winning something at this level the next market transfer they are gonna sell for a ton of money.

Their performance is very different when playing in the Champions League, this is clearly visible in the group B points table. Their chances of qualifying for the round of 16 are increasingly difficult, but that doesn't mean this is impossible to make happen. His good performance in the Eredivisie, with perfect points achieved in 11 matches, seems to have failed to be transmitted when playing in the UCL. PSV latest victory over Heracles with a score of 6-0 should be a good asset when facing Lens, but this step seems to be happening.

On the other hand, I don't expect Ajax to experience a drastic decline in performance, both in the Eredivisie and in the Europa League this season. Ajax position is now exactly the same as PSV, and the chances of qualifying for the last 16 are also very small.

PSV, the leader among the teams in the championship age, has made 11/11 as of today. AZ Alkmaar left two points on the table with a draw in a tough away game. After going one-nil up in the 72nd minute, the visitors were devastated by a goal in extra time. It has to be said that the home team didn't play badly.
Feyenoord, on the other hand, won away against an out-of-form opponent and added 3 points to their tally. Feyenoord, who played a dominant game from the beginning to the end of the match, definitely deserved this win. With this win, they managed to move up to second place.

PSV looks to good in the Eredivise. They are just perfect 11/11 wins and i think i never seen that before in this league. I think no one is even close to their quality and i think this season this will be an easy title. They destroyed Heracles without much effort and that shows how good is their team.

PSV dominate the league like in the last good years of Ajax, when PSV could only take points from Ajax, currently a perfect start of the season of PSV. Ajax have now won a game again, but it will be very difficult for Ajax to reach the Europa Cup places with these performances. The 7 point gap should normally not be a problem but this year I am not confident.

It already looked that Ajax is already starting to play football but this round they dropped points against tiny Almere City. It was tough game, but it already lloked that Ajax have it in ther hands, but they got penalty not in the most dangerous situation on last minute and Almere scored it. It comes after painfuldeafeat against Brighton at home in Europe league which made their situation in Europe complicated too. So, not the best way to go into international break.
In main game of round, Feyenoord got minimal 1:0 win against AZ, while PSV had no problems against Zwolle 4:0 and remain on top with 7 point distance from Feyenoord.
