I think we don't have topic about KNVB cup, so will post here. Huge upset happened today. Ajax got kicked out by 4th division (!!!) club USV Hercules after loss 3:2. I think it's not even professional club. Didn't saw what happened there, Ajax made comeback from 2:0 to 2:2, but Hercules somehow scored 3th goal on additional time.
Other interesting result is that AZ won vs Hardenberg from 3rd division only after extra time.
While best game of round between PSV and Twente got postponed because of waterlogged pitch.

Yesterday when i saw that i can believe that result, also i go and check the Hercules team, and man..... i dont know they were even amateurs, and also i learn some about the netherlands lower leagues in the reserach.

Is a good time to see a Ten Hag return? He is doing bad in Manchester right now.

Ten Hag was not successful at Manchester United, but I think it would be better if he returned to his former team. A league he knows, a team he knows. The Premier League was too difficult for Ten Hag. Also, Manchester United is a difficult team to manage. It might make sense for him to return when Ajax is going bad.

The process that Ajax has gone through is very cool this season and their coach is also very strong, he can raise the mentality of the players to rise from the bottom of the standings and are now in fifth place in the standings, of course the target of entering the UCL league next season is somewhat impossible so their target is the most realistic it entered the European league, because securing tickets to the European competition was already a good achievement considering the destruction of the team's performance this season.

Even I agree with your few points, but now situation is interesting every time when we have time for the sacking of Ten Hag at Manchester United, they have done magic and have some more time for giving better results like we have few hours back against Aston Villa which is big win for them and now most chances he can still stay here for the better results in this season.

Even I am also feeling Ten Hag is having not better chance in Premier League and if he can take back his job with Ajax then surely this combination can bring impressive results, and they can do good in next season within this season their chances could be high for jumping into top three which could have allowed them for having Champions League qualification spot.

Currently we don't know how Ajax will perform for the next half season because the Eredivise is currently on New Year's holidays. The next opening match will be on January 13 2024 and there will be AZ Alkmaar vs Twente and Ajax vs Go Ahead matches. I am waiting for these two matches because if in the Az Alkmaar vs Twente match one of the teams loses then Ajax will narrow the points gap with them. Go Ahead Eagles are not a bad team but I don't think they are on the same level as Ajax. And this match will also prove whether Ajax has regained its best performance or not.

After the break in 17th round we are going to have few interesting matches now, with Twente is going to host AZ Alkmaar and G A Eagles are going to host Ajax which are surely important matches for the staying at the top spots as well because third and fourth spots teams surely going to lose points and in case of win Ajax is going to have some cut in deficit which will keep their hopes alive for jumping, and we also know history of these medicor teams mostly they lost points near the end of the season which give good benefit to the top ranks teams.

AZ Alkmaar returning from break will be having some crazy fixtures so also Ajax. And currently Ajax who started poorly have been on fire recently, With this, we can tell that Ajax would probably overthrow Az Alkmaar who seems shaky already. In squad comparism, Ajax have a better squad and would pose a tight and nice challenge.

 Ajax would sure get to 4th place soon, but they must be able to maintain it and make sure they get an european spot next season, it would be very lovely to have them in the UCL again and I can't wait to see how good they'll be in the UCL, in this new era, during the time of Eric Ten Hag, they did pretty in the UCL. There's big difference for managers to handle mediocre team and elite clubs, I've attracted to football and I easily talk about the club's that will win marches. If Manchester United board sacks Erik Ten Hag, it means they're desperate, but they should also focused on other clubs that are doing poorly and they have their coach at their side. It's very possible that retuning to his former team will do him more good than when he stays in Manchester united where the results keep going from bad to worse and it's looking everyday like he isn't fit at all for the job, it could be very possible at Manchester united there are factors which are not aiding his ability to work optimally.

Ajax which is best in Eredivisie and have good and solid squad as well having the worst time in early rounds of this season due to few changes which happen in last year, but now they are already on development and having good recovery while they are doing good then result is matters not how coming even they are winning by small margin it's not problem but good thing now they are winning and having good chance of fight back as well after break most chances we will have them on level which is surely they deserve and also capable of having things for this at the top we have no chance with PSV and Feyenoord are doing amazing stuff but AZ Alkmaar and Twente are medicore teams which can give Ajax place for the jumping.

I think yes, ETH is trying to build his CV but he’s quite unfortunate that all these are happening right now. Yes, he’s achieved a trophy on his first season here in Manchester, but how he takes on this season is pretty bad. Yes, some bad decisions and most of all some players indiscipline is making him have a bad time. And if he doesn’t get things right here at Manchester I don’t think he’ll be considered a prolific coach, as this is one major club he’s coaching after coaching Ajax and winning the league quite a number of times.

 Ajax who did pretty bad when ETH left are now getting their foot especially afterwards starting the season very poorly; now they’re battling it out for an European spot and yes, the dream is alive amd could be a reality. Most teams do not care about cup matches. I think Ajax is one of them. Ajax is normally a much higher quality team than Hercules, but they may have had to face this painful result because they did not care much in the Cup match. While they were eliminated from the cup, Hercules had already gone to celebrate a victory.

But why would they not care about cup matches when we are talking about the most important domestic cup and at the same time we are talking about professional soccer players who have been dreaming about winning titles for their whole lives? I don't buy this story because I read that quite often that players would not care about winning the cup. I understand that in the Premier League there are several cups and some of them not as important as the FA Cup, but this one cup in the Netherlands is the most important cup there is. I don't understand why the players wouldn't care.
