NaVi completed the reverse sweep after a close OT loss in the first map, while G2 didn't have enough steam and only got six on the next two maps.

Beaten by two broodmother, chen and invoker games at map 1 & 2. If these heroes have been impactful to their very first games, they should have ban it to the next one and map 2 but on this, Team Liquid didn't because they probably can counter that through Tide at map 1 and sandking at map 2.

I thought Team Liquid could keep it competitive in the first map when I heard Tundra's coach share insights behind their draft to stop the early power spike of Gaimin Gladiators, but for some reason, they always end up playing behind.

It's theoretical and sounds pleasing to hear blitz thoughts but, I don't know what's the magic there. But if we'll base it really in the past, Team Liquid has always lost to Gaimin Gladiators in the grand finals all of the matches they've played.




Anyway, who's able to hit the match winner in the grand finals with a W?  
Congrats to us, odd might not be that much but I like that green color.

Thats actually peanut compared to the club championship prizepool that those team are waging for. Currently Falcons stand on top with 1950 club points ahead from the 2nd rank. If Falcons could get the 2nd place atleast, then they are going to extend this lead for $7M on top

$7M? I don't get it. Anyway, those club championship prize pools are really low, compared to Riyadh Masters, they're now sought after by teams and CMIIW, EWC will handle esports Olympics soon.

G2 can't catch a break these past few days after the CS2 and Valorant team lost their big matches yesterday, and now it's their LoL team as they also lost to Fnatic.

I actually noticed that there is a small fine print for the club championship



As it currently stands, there are only 3 teams that is eligible to win the championship and another 3 that is eligible for the prizepool so thats a total of 6 teams out of 16 paid places for the club championship prizepool. That is so weird, what are they going to do with the other 10 spots if no other club managed to get atleast two top 8 finishes

I got it, thanks! There's more to this Riyadh Masters then, this is interesting and this is making EWC better than any other tournaments out there, it's like a mini Olympics for the esports scene. No offense to TI as it's like the most desired tournament of most teams in Dota 2. But this time, it seems that it's not just that Riyadh Masters are the tournament that these teams are already participating but also that club points that they'd acquire every finish they do but it's for all of the teams that they have for other esports. So, noticing the top 1 to 4, they've got all dota 2 teams although Na'Vi didn't qualify for the Riyadh Masters. There are 16 other esports left for the scoring and tallying of their points.

Man, that's really tough. I've got Ls there and mostly on the best of 2 series.

First of all , congrats to NaVi for becoming EWC in 2024 after a great series of Cs2 against G2.

Second , G2 managed to lose 3 finals this weekend : One in cs2 , one in LOL and one in valorant. ( sad times to be a g2 fan ).

Now , it's summer break in Esports and will be 1 month until big tournaments are back with first one being Elite on Dota 2 , followed by The International 1 month after.

There is another news about Shopify Rebellion (Dota 2) roster, they've got pakasz(probably stand-in for the Elite League S2) and saberlight back to the roster. On the other hand, they've parted ways with mind_control and then a sad thing, our boi Artour - Arteezy decided to take a break from the competitive scene. Here's his statement from his X account.

Saw that over the weekend as they were just shi**ing on G2 when the CS2 Finals were already over then came to realize they weren't talking about the finals but on a match of theirs that was currently in progress.

Found out the Valorant team of G2 was losing aswell.
Talk about a treble but of the worst kind.

Also thanks goes to @passwordnow & @arallmuus for the updates on those progress charts of DOTA2 and the prizes that were given out as the finalized tally for each placed teams.

Wow , I had no idea Elite League 2 will start so early! I thought it will be in August but we are already day 1 of the tournament and it seems we have around 12 hours of non-stop Dota because it's 12AM and we still have games to see so that is amazing. However , I wouldn't risk any money to bet on this league because even if I know almost all the Dota 2 pro teams , some of them will tend to try new heroes to find new heroes to draft before TI starts...

Favorites like Team Liquid don't care if they drop a map as it's all about winning their series and getting the clean 3-0 to qualify a day early for the next round.

Also, it sucks that the viewing experience isn't accessible since there's no official English broadcast from the organizers.

Yeah remember boltz mentioning about this since the very start of the tournament that the livefeeds were really bad. And it seems they hadn't fix it or don't really care to do it.
This really would impact the exposure of their tournament to the organizers and might reconsider going back. But they have money to pay those who decide where they are held. So maybe the latter in that statement above.

On to CounterStrike: Over in Copenhagen between July 29-August 4 we will have Blast Premier Fall groups.
Of the sixteen teams participating they will be split into four double-elimination groups. With the four remaining advancing to the BLAST Fall Final.

In the Sky Esports tournament, Mongolz dispatched Aurora quite easily with a pure domination session on map 2.

We will see Eternal Fire going up against 3DMAX next and ENCE vs True Rippers and BLEED vs Parivision.
Haven't heard of any of these teams except for ENCE & BLEED.
But it should be something for those interested in some CS2 action until those teams come together in Denmark early next week.

That's pretty much is happening right now but this tournament is still to be taken seriously as the prize pool is still decent. While Clavision Snow Ruyi tournament is about to come next two days from now, there are also notable teams there. Today, the Elite League 2 is on the day 2 and there is still a lot of games but lesser compared to yesterday games and tomorrow.

Anyway, I've got a first blood of my bet and I lost. Oh my Cuyes, I've bet on them yesterday and now they've won against Boom Esports however, I bet for Boom instead of them. They betrayed me!! hahaha.

Yeah I always hate bo2 group stage but tons of possibility could happen in swiss stage as well and aside from that, normally the odds on swiss stage sucks so bad because most of the teams are not even tier 2 teams so yeah

Dang, an $800k tournament with $200k prizepool based on viewership has no english broadcast. This is probably the biggest flop tournament of the year. How are they even expecting fans to watch the game with no English commentary, most would probably switch out to another channel after like 10 minutes of watching

I agree it's a big mistake to not have an English broadcast even if it's not that high-quality as they've probably spent most of their budget on the other broadcasts.

True true! Also it seems that Snow Ruyi is only in Chinese commentary but we do have Knox or other great casters who will provide English commentary on their own so that is a + for them as streamers and also they do have a chance to grow their channel.

We just saw Nigma Galaxy finally winning a series against a top tier 1 team and who would have thought Xtreme Gaming will be the one who will fall under Nigma ? Because I personally didn't gave any chance to Nigma to win this series , especially without Miracle and Kuroky playing but this should give a glimpse that Kuroky is indeed a problem for his team and maybe it's time for him to step out of Dota 2 pro scene ?

Yeah although I could consider this as one of their lucky win, sometimes they win against top team once in a while but to win against XG is actually quite a feat. I totally cant wait for their next game
