About that power issue, I was informed that it was measured on LTC . The problem is not the pool you're using but the current difficulty and coin type. The higher the difficulty the more power the machine needs.
Early gridseeds had exactly the same issue , having different power draw depending on the coin you're mining.

I was also assured that if you have a faulty hardware you can return it and have it refunded, so I'm sorry but I don't see an issue here.

I also fail to see a connection with them and BFL. They said they'll deliver and they did, if you got the hardware a day or 2 later, there is really no issue, most online stores reserve at least a week for this.
And as I said before you can return the hardware if you want. As for your time, imagine you go to a store, buy something, come back home and don't like it, go back to return and request money for your lost time Cheesy Are you serious?

Why does anyone one have to prove anything to you? You do the work for a change, maybe order something from them and get "screwed" so you can call them scammers. If you do please use the link in my sig! Nobody has yet which makes me sad.

Cos some people have money to invest. We arent all making $1 a day mining with a $150 machine using our parents power bill Wink
[/quote]

Then invest already and good luck with that because it's a crap shoot with vendors. I've dealt with four for scrypt miners and GAW was the best and only one of two taking credit cards; Zoomhash being the other.

But it's not a scam if they delivered merchandise. You make no sense dude and this is proving to be some sort of vendetta by you. My "scam" miners are churning away right now, I was so scammed.

What we are saying is we are suspicious because the only units that seem to have been delivered are junk 1mh machines sold to "kids" I  assume.

Elaborate scams usually involve building up trust over a few months before hitting the bigger players making a ton and running away to mexico.

I see they are paying you for your signature

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=530420.0

I wonder why they have to do that? Did you get your $50 for a months work yet mate?

Then why is my Falcon pulling 1100 Watts from the wall for mining CGA with stabilized diff of 2 and net hashrate of 180-200MH?? Big difference than the HUGE difficulty of LTC.....

Every bit of evidence we have points to a long running operation of fraud by GAW and/or Zeus.  Looks like both.  Zeus advertises their hardware for other coins, so if they never tested against those other coins they are bigger idiots.  Otherwise, I'd love to hear stories about refunds.  Oh wait, Waldo posted one in which GAW tried to screw him out of 10Mh of mining power due to a typo, even after confirming the number was accurate, and then gave him a hassle asking for a refund.  They had units delivered to customers before they had a shipping/returns page.  I'm going to try to get my money back, curious how that goes.

Anywho, the point is that everything is pointing towards a long running scam with a few folks cashing out on the seller side.  It looks like they intentionally misled customers to get cash in, mined for themselves for a while, upped the power numbers at the point where you must already have hardware produced, then dumped their shit hardware on some folks.  I guess the hope was to keep it running long enough for a another round of cash out.  Who knows.

Funny thing, though, because that kind of tactic really leads to a lot of trouble because a lot of financial stuff get whirred up when you hurt a competitor by lying to steal business.  Since GAW is based on Mass, who happens to have some really intense consumer protection laws, if anyone takes this legal it can go insane just based on what GAW has said themselves.  I'd love to see what would come out of a subpoena for either GAW or Zeus, especially important things like payments to suppliers to supplement what they said about their operation.

Everything looks crappy.  Restarting the scam accusation thread later.

Waldo's issue was resolved and if I remember correctly he apologized for his offensive comments, so there's no need to bring this up.

"Funny thing, though, because that kind of tactic really leads to a lot of trouble because a lot of financial stuff get whirred up when you hurt a competitor by lying to steal business."
What the hell are you talking about?

I have to say that they had thousands of customers, and you were having issues from the beginning. You were offered a refund and didn't want it. You came angry, calling them scam because your package was 1 day late. I asked you politely to sit and wait for just 1 day, you agreed, but just couldn't leave it alone and came back few hours later repeating the same thing.
You said you were talked to Josh and reached an agreement, but it seems your agreements don't last longer than few hours.
To me it looks like you're enjoying this.

look this is simple enough.  if you purchased and think you are cheated send the gear in and get a refund.

For me  I hesitated on all the  new gear.

I never purchased anything from gaw but gridseeds..

Had some hitches which they fixed.   In fact they sent a batch of old gridseed 5 chip units  which were dead.  They gave me a store credit and  i purchased a members only ant miner s-1 for 299 usd  minus the 250 credit.  came new and mines fine.

Then the shit hit the fan.   For me as a dedicated miner  Zeus gear seems to pull 30-40 watts an mh.  while gridseed blades pull 16-18 watts an mh on a plat psu.

Since they cost close to the same   in dollar per mh    .  for now I am picking gridseed blades.

I did order this  from gaw today as it is good gear for blades

http://www.gawminers.com/6-pin-pcie-to-3-x-2-1mm-barrel-tip-power-cable/

my advice if you are buying gear to mine in your house buy a gridseed blade from zoomhash. buy the power cable from gawminers.  use a plat psu to power the gear.  NUFF said!

I'll clarify. CGA net hashrate is 180-200MH/s.  Going to be testing starcoin with net hash of 50MH/s to see what power draw is for a REALLY low diff coin. Any less net hashrate than that runs risk of 51% from my asic.

my falcon does 24-28MH, btw. waiting to see if they release promised patch before I decide to return it or not.

A) I believe you own a falcon.
B) I believe you when you post numbers like 1100 watts
C) My guess if all coins will mine at a 950 to 1150 watt  number in the 24mh-28mh range  .

which at best would be 33 watts  an mh.
please tell me the make and model of your psu.

I have a 1300 watt evga psu  gold  rating a stud psu .  If you have an equal let us know.

You may have a poor qualit psu which would account for as much as 100 of those 1100 watts.

you may have a high watt pc setup which would be  40 or 50 extra watts.

but  it seems to me  at best you are going to get to is 900 plus watts.  for the falcon alone.

I am in the process of getting more gridseed blades .

I may go to 5 of them.

that would be close to an exact match of your falcon.

we can point the gear at the same pool.

say wemineltc   ltc only   and see if you do 1000-1100 watts  for 28mh  and if I do 420 watts for 26mh

My week 1 Black Widow at about 14.5Mh/s

http://imgur.com/itfNZaD

What PSU are you using? Can you take a picture of the back where the power is connected? How warm are your PCIE cable wires getting? I see yours is only drawing 517W, that's not bad, what pool/difficulty is it mining against?

Ordered 5/4, received 5/29. its big and red and has 3 loud-ass fans, comparable to an air conditioner at full blast. Reference cards for R9 290 are louder than Falcon. The side with the blue master board gets warm. has 3 green boards same size. Unit exhaust is warm, like a summer breeze, but not hot. I have it pointed out the window. It definitely moves some air through it. All high quality circuit boards, gold plating under the solder instead of normal copper.

Josh's pics I'm posting here, mine is the same exact thing:

Corsair AX1200 gold rating and gets 88-89% efficiency at this load, cables get warm so i downclock to 290 for long mining times and they're fine. I was actually worried about the pci-e connectors melting, but the Falcon pulls so much air, they stay cool. PSU is NOT in the falcon case. I test everything at 328 as general point of reference. my mobo and idle gpu 270x pull 125 watts for a total of 1230 watts at 110.4v being pulled from the wall at 328. I'd average the Falcon to be pulling 1100 from the wall so 1000 dc watts based on fluctuations mining CGA with difficulty of 2.5-3 at the time.

This is the second time in this thread that you're referring to some mysterious information only you have access to. And with all due respect it sounds like complete and utter bollocks. Are you saying that these miners will require more and more power as LTC difficulty rises? LTC diff went up by about 30% since they first announced power consumption at 15W per MH/s, does it mean that a 30% increase in difficulty requires 3 times more power now at 45W per MH/s ?
