It was indeed very surprising what happened in Group F where Morocco appeared very impressive by beating Belgium and Canada and they drew with Croatia. even though Morocco is not very favored to qualify for the round of 16 but Morocco can prove their quality in every match in the group phase. I don't forget to congratulate Morocco for qualifying for the last 16 as group winners followed by Croatia. Belgium has to go home early in the Qatar world cup because they really didn't perform well enough in this world cup. even the Belgium national team coach immediately resigned after failing to bring Belgium through to the last 16.

in another match that is currently taking place where Japan is against Spain and for the time being Japan has been leading with a score of 2-1. meanwhile costa rica is also very impressive because they were able to equalize in this match, maybe bad luck will befall germany in today's match. What an unfortunate moment for Belgium (both the teams and supporters), 3 matches and scored 1 goal only, yes it is a big trouble for a team which is currently standing in 2nd position of FIFA ranking.
They have many great players who are playing in world class football club but they played like they have no motivation to win World Cup.
I believe most people predicted that they will be the group winner but the fact shows that they do not even qualify for the knock out round and they have to go home earlier.

It's a shame that Belgium failed to progress from the group stage to the last 16 but I was expecting it since they lost to Morocco in their previous game. Belgium can't seem to play well in the first two games, so they don't seem motivated to last much longer in the World Cup based on their performances.

On the other group, Germany is now trying hard to win with bigger goal difference and also relying that Japan will be defeated by Spain.

When Spain underestimated Japan game, which actually played like a spartan, the results would reverse. Here Spain too thinks Japan is not a balanced opponent but unfortunately they are wrong about that. The reverse position that the young Spanish players should consider has not been able to feel like they have won before the final minutes. Japan has a fighter mentality while Spain plays for beauty. I know this is a boomerang for Spain, if we see several times the goalkeeper tries to play the ball in the penalty box to lure the Japanese players.

Spain must be careful with Japan's comeback because for now it can't be safe if Japan continues to press its defense.

Spain is trying to control the match. Spain still has 79% ball possession. But they trailed 2-1. Japan is not able to keep possession of the ball. Looks like another surprise in store, Japan just stunned me after the first half by scoring two quick goals as i have no idea what Japan took during the break as Spain was completely dominating the match in the first half  . I am watching the Spain Japan match and will watch the Germany match later as i am not having great expectation after their loss against Japan earlier in the tournament.

Japan are really giving Spain a hard time with quick press. Japan's manager did had a plan and he did it well in quick half with bringing in fresh players and go all out with the press. I wouldn't be surprised if Spain concedes another goal with the way they are playing defensively.

Germany are also on the brink of exiting in the group stage. If it happens then I think after Belgium and Mexico, we will be watching another big nation team's coach leaving his role at the national team likely.

You can tell from the way that Germany started that they know that a good win against Costa Rica is the only option they have. Jamal Musiala so far has been the man of the match, with more inclusions in play than any other German, It is only a matter of time before he scores too. Somehow Germany have made a comeback leveling the 2-2. We don't know what's gonna happen at the last minutes. Spain could've never thought Japan in such a way. Big teams of the tournament are struggling hard, and taking position as game changers. As stated the underdogs are making the win throughout the day starting from the Belgium vs Croatia, Canada vs Morocco, now these two matches.

It is very tragic when a team that has a golden generation has to be eliminated from the group phase of this year's edition of the World Cup and even ends without a single title. The best achievement they have ever achieved is winning third place at the 2018 World Cup.

The elimination of Belgium in the group stage was certainly very surprising to many parties. The defeat to Morocco in the second match was a heavy blow. And in the final match the Red Devils still had opportunities if they were able to beat Croatia, but Lukaku had to swallow the bitter pill when he got a draw, causing them to pick up their suitcases from Qatar first.

they were able to qualify in first place in a group in which the first 2 places seemed to have already been awarded... for sure Spain was lucky enough to avoid Croazia. For sure it will be a nice derby between two neighboring countries.

I didn't see this ending coming. Spain and Germany had quickly taken a 1-0 lead and then it seemed only a matter of time that many goals would be scored by both countries. The surprise was great when Japan even came to 2-1. Spain is of course through to the next round, but will still have an unpleasant aftertaste. I haven't checked the exact schedule, but Spain finished 2nd in the group and will probably play against France. And Japan can against Australia. Those are games where the level is very far apart. Golden chance for Japan.

I can't believe what I saw today Japan and Costa Rica comeback lol although in the end Germany managed to win but they failed to secure 2nd place
