Who would have thought Brazil could score a quick goal in the first half and even, with a 4-0 first half win Brazil seemed to no longer have the passion to score another goal in the second half. In fact, with a big win in the first half, at least Brazil could still score another goal in the second half, because of course the mentality and/or focus of the South Korea players was no longer stable.
But yes, South Korea can still minimize defeat by having one goal, at least it's still good for them compared to not being able to score at all.

Don't underestimate Croatia. I know that Brazil is a favorite in the quarters, but Croatia usually plays it's best games against stronger teams. The problem is that Croatia played 120 minutes plus penalties and Brazil played pretty easy against South Korea. Additionally, Croatia played all four games with almost the same players and they must be tired. We will see but I really believe that Croatia can be a better opponent to Brazil than South Korea was yesterday.

Brazil will undoubtedly beat Croatia. They have a much higher class of players. Croatia are in good shape right now, but they have some difficulties due to the change of generations. How I wish I could change my vote on this poll, Germany disappointed me and many other people, but the ones that did not vote earlier are now increasing the stake of Brazil which is, not a bad idea judging by what we have seen so far. I will never bet on Germany again, I was still giving them the benefit of the doubt based on their track record in such competition.

In recent reality, I believe that the winner of the tournament should be between Brazil, Spain and France, but I wonder why the vote of France remains at 5 (3.8%), it seems people have less up in them than I do. Also, my observation reveals that many support Argentina, but I can bet it with nothing, they will not lift that trophy.

Croatia team is very lucky and tactical. They played defensively and drew goalless with the two strongest teams in the group, Morocco and Belgium. Against Japan they also aimed for a draw and they succeeded. Croatia will play the same strategy against Brazil in the next match. However, Brazil's forward players are in excellent form. I don't think Croatia will be able to stop Brazil even if they play defensively.

In Brazil vs South Korea game Brazil played very well and Brazil won by many big goals.  Which re-introduced Brazil as stronger again. Both Croatia and Brazil completed their matches in round of 16 very well. Brazil simply destroyed Korea and the return of Neymar with his good show is very good for them in quarter match with Croatia. With Neymar, they will have more chances and the appearance of Neymar attracts other players of Croatia to follow him. This will give Richarlison, Vini, Paqueta more space and more chances. With Neymar, Brazil will show their best attacking ability.

Croatia, however do have very good system which maintains distances between attacking, midfiled and defense areas very well. They can switch from defensive to attacking mode very quickly with Modric and Perisic. Kovacic is important for them too as he has been one of players with most total distance in each match in the World Cup. He contributes a lot to defense system of Croatia, starting in midfield area.

Even the backup players of this Brazil team are very high quality.

The Brazilian team has so far paraded themselves as a favorite for the contested cup. They are good no doubt, and would have added more goals if they needed against the South Koreans.

I think that it will be a be a pretty close game between Croatia and Brazil. Of course at the moment it looks like Brazil is the clear favorite for that match because the Brazilian team won with 4-1 against South Korea yesterday and was already up 4-0 in the first half, while Croatia had a very hard time against the Japanese team and they even needed to go all the distance with a penalty shootout in order to advance into the quarterfinal.
That being said, yesterday everything worked out perfectly for Brazil. They scored the first goal with the first chance and their second goal with their second chance. We should not expect that they will be that efficient in the next match too. For me it's a 50/50 match and it will depend on the start into the game and also on luck obviously.

Today there will be two closing matches of the 2022 world cup play-off round and I hope that each country that is competing will provide an exciting and entertaining spectacle.

I won’t want anyone to underestimate Morocco. They’ve put enough effort to have qualified top of their group with good standings and defensive record. They’ll also demonstrate that performance and commitment against Spain. They have a good team, they play in a way that you’ll think they posses big players but it’s just intelligent play and seriousness. Spain will dominate and have more of possession to themselves but they have to be careful of Morocco, they have clinical finishers that can convert those chances.
