Weghorst has done everything, what more can a man do? He single-handedly took the game to extra time and penalties. He turned the penalty into a goal. But other Dutch players missed penalties. Except for Weghorst, there was no Dutch player showing character. Anyway, Messi and Argentina are going to take the trophy. Their road is very open now. They were expected to play against Brazil but they will play against Croatia. Come on Messi, take that trophy!

Brazil was the biggest favorite and they are gone too. After Germany and Spain now there is one more favorite out of the calculations. Most people underestimated Croatia but they were not a big underdog. We know how they play in big tournaments. This result is not surprising to me. In the end this is World Cup, everybody try to do their best. I feel bad for Neymar but they should've scored a goal way earlier. This is what happens when you waste too many chances. Croatia well deserved semi-finals.

That's why i don't bet due to the country, what Croatia did today was unbelievable to everyone because nobody have taught of that concerning the people of Brazil, so i believe that on my own that Brazil will defeat Croatia, and Germany and Spain match is another thing that is will be tough, so prediction of matches never be a something of trust or  performance of players in some other previous matches the way I'm seeing prediction of matches.

Very exciting and crazy last few minutes of extra time we have seen now between Argentina and Netherlands, many dangerous and so close chances to score from Argentina to kill the match but failed. They seem afraid of penalties and since the start of this cup all the teams that managed to draw could win in penalties like Croatia for example

even the penalties from these two teams were extraordinarily thrilling, the failure of the first pinalty kick that Virgil did, not make the Netherlands weak, the Netherlands even managed to equalize in the penalty shoot-out to 3-3, but in the end, Argentina was luckier. congratulations Argentina.

Both the matches were interesting - but the Brazil upset was very heart breaking.

I think this match between Argentina and Netherlands is the toughest of all matches I've watched so far in this 2022 world cup, I was visibly sweating all over in an air conditioned filled room.

Just wow, though Argentina did win, but I still give it to the Netherlands, they fought hard, really hard, but unfortunately the best hard to take the crown, I think the Netherlands goal keeper is their weakness, but all the same, they shouldnt feel too bad for dropping out at this stage, they did their best but Argentina was just too good even down to their goal keeper.

Wonderful penalties from both side and congratulations to the Argentines on their victory they deserve every glory of it. Wonderful game by the Netherlands too but the first two penalties from the dutchmen were too dull or maybe its just the brilliance of the Argentina goal keeper Emiliano Martinez who is very good and famous in penalty saves.

The Argentines are set for the next phase of the world cup which is the semi finals and they are in for another tough game against the stubborn Croatian team who are very hard to beat and i think that gonna be another interesting game and cant also wait to watch our last surviving team from our my continent AFRICA . We are all hoping to see if Morocco can conjure up some miracle again tomorrow against the Portuguese side.

This world cup has made me to realize that no matter how big your opponent is, face him regardless without fear.

Who could have imagine that the two big North America team(Brazil and Argentina), will lose and the other will struggle to win in their matches. It's unbelievable that Brazil lose to Croatia while Argentina struggle to win after everyone has concluded they both have won already in their respective matches(both conceding a last minutes goals)

This world cup is giving everyone a shocking result. The whole world is in disbelieve at what happens in today's games. Many has lost their bets because of todays result

Crazy penalty drama colored in two matches today, credit go to the keepers of Croatia and Argentina. I didn't expect Brazil to lose against Croatia but it happened , then Netherlands lost against Argentina. Today game between argentina and netherland was the best in these knock out stages so far both teams played well but argentina were slightely better  and managed to score two goals but then netherland played an all offensive game and managed the equalizer when we all thought it was over hard luck for netherland and congrats to argentina.

Quite an interesting day for the world cup.
Brazil, which in my opinion was the number one favorite, lost to Modric's Croatia on penalties.
In the other semifinal, Argentina also took a risk but managed to win against Holland.

If Argentina reaches the final, it will have had a rather "simple" path against Australia, Holland, and France.

Now I have to support France.

Wonderful penalties from both side

Not so much from both sides. The Netherlands weren't very good at there penalty shoots. In fact, they didn't seem prepared for a penalty shoot else, how could they miss there 2 first penalty after successfully coming back to a game from 2 goals down in less than 15minutes to the final whistle.
Missing your first 2 penalties just mounts such a pressure on the rest of the penalty takers and the team. That's not what any team would want because, you don't get or give your best with your team under pressure.

Argentina was just good all round and they very much didn't want this penalty with the amount of pressure mounted on the Netherland team minutes to the end of the extra time. E. Fernandez was just something else, so many on and off target shots, he was in the game which makes me wonder, how he did missed that penalty. Such a gleamer of hope for the Netherlands but that wasn't meant to last with L. Martinez's shoot on goal.

Haha, good source Soonandwaite. Both teams deserved the victory, the Dutch counterattacked really well during the match, and also in the penalties. But Argentina was more accurate, so there's nothing to claim.

Good think that violence didn't escalate, but a bit os a shame the few unfortunate images by some players today.
