I'm not surprised about the barca vs Bayern Munich result. Although Barca seems to play the ball more, Bayern Munich is more effective in seizing opportunities. In addition, Bayern Munich also played at home, it made their mentality better.

Of course, Barcelona's defeat makes the competition in Group C as exciting as possible. Because Inter certainly have a chance as a team that is not superior. Manchester City is in need of the champions league trophy. It will be a huge disappointment if Pep Guardiola fails to win the champions league this season, he's made final and semi-finals in the last two seasons. Anything short of first place this year is a failure. Ever since he left Barcelona, he has not been able to win the trophy If it were to be another manager, Manchester City would have sacked him considering the amount of money spent in assembling players.

Pep failed to deliver in UCL with Bayern as well and in that time , Bayern had the strongest team in Europe and he still managed to not win it. I would say that UCL is not about having a great squad , great coach and a great season and it's more about passion , playing IQ football which is rarely nowadays and then you must have a bit of luck.  I also believe that if he is not going to win UCL , he might leave , but who will replace him ? and where will Pep go ? these 2 questions are very vital regarding both Man.City but Pep too.

I don't know man, I do not feel like they really do need to win in order for Pep to prove himself. He took the city team to a level where they won league titles so many times and fought in UCL so many times, so they do look alright to me. People think that they spent an insan amount of money, but in reality just because they worth a lot doesn't mean that they spent a lot by that much. 130 this year, 130 last year, 170 year before that and 130 before that. I know that sounds a lot, but just Chelsea alone spent like as much as they spent in the last two seasons combined, and yet Chelsea fired their manager, whereas City is still great. Yeah they may have spent a bit, but many teams do, United did, and look where they are. So in reality, the idea that City spent billions is a mistake, they spent as much as other teams do at the top, and they are better than all of them.

Quite annoyed to talk about Spurs because it was beyond my expectations considering they were the seed in that game.
2 goals in the final minutes made me frustrated with that because in 10 minutes towards the end they did not look focused and disaster occurred in the 90th minute which made their concentration even more dispersed and lost by a score which I say is very unfortunate for them.

match stats show "ball possession" between milan and zagreb almost even. other than that, zagreb's defense is pretty good, in the first half of milan it's hard to break through their defense. with this win, milan is top of group E with 4 points and zagreb in 2nd place with 3 points.

On like you, I won't be so commendable of the Dinamo Zagreb's defence. They might have had some good chances chances the game to play some good football but, they allowed the AC Milan team too many controls in there half and especially around there 18yard box. Just take a look at the way the last goal was worked with a forward and back pass between Tommaso Pobega and Theo Hernandez before Tommaso Pobega attempted roofing the ball with a great on target shot tha came right off the Cross bar into the goal post.
The AC Milan team was definitely better in this game and they've got there 3 points.

If they qualify from their local league please give them their respect.  I was about to say that if Maccabi can hold PSG to a First half draw it will be a sign that there are no under dogs, before I could finish the statement Maccabi had already scored. It is now in the part of PSG to equalize.  

Betting tips are now clearer, placing a bet that PSG would win the overall match should have a good odd now and it is worth trying out. I was about to say that a bet that PSG scores next is good but with low odds before Maccabi got a second goal but was disallowed for offside. Milan's dominance was clearly visible from the start of the match. Dinamo is playing defensively. But they are trying to counter-attack when they get the chance. All the favorite teams who are expected to win easily in this match seem to have difficulty scoring goals. I watched Manchester City vs Dortmund, it was good but for me it was boring. There weren't many chances throughout the game and even Manchester City didn't have a shot on goal. The change in strategy in the second half is expected to be good to achieve maximum results for the favorite team above.

There was plenty to do at Rangers - Napoli, especially in the opening phase. Rangers should have taken the lead after 30 seconds but the chance was wasted. Napoli also fired at the intersection. I thought we would at least see a goal, but at halftime it is 0-0. If Rangers still win this game, we will have 4 teams that all have 3 points. Liverpool will certainly qualify for the next round, but Ajax or Napoli in 2nd? I wouldn't dare say it. Ajax is better but Napoli have scored important points at home against Liverpool. City also still not able to score at the moment.

I felt that Dinamo played well enough today, but at this level mistakes are costly and they did make a few. Shame that they conceded so early on after the break.
The goal they scored was really nice, Petković's ball holding skills are world class. Unfortunately, Pobega's goal was as well.

Dinamo now has 2 games vs Salzburg, with the first one being away from home. If they manage not to lose, they will have a real chance of staying in European competitions even after the group stage - which would be a terrific achievement in such a difficult group.

There is no hidden truth about that. You can say that Pep's primary focus right now, after winning 2 consecutive EPL trophy.  He needs the UCl to crown it up and maybe would take his career elsewhere but his been very unfortunate. He comes really close and gets to loose it everytime. I won't be surprised if this season turns out to be one of those season were he would be eliminated in the semi finals of the finals, its tradition.

Mean while, Chelsea have been particularly aggressive in this game.  There is a clear difference in the way they play both defensive and there attack. They don't just seem to have enough confidence in taking a shot. Always looking out for a clear chance and that's what the Salzburg team aren't giving them.

Thats true! The champions league has no underdog  in this current football dispensation. We all saw what Dinamo Zagreb did to Chelsea and Chelsea is currently struggling to beat RB Saizburg. Although PSG has equalized but Maccabi  is curtailing the attacking power house of Mbappe, Messi and Neymar.

I believed that PSG would have a free day today. I also predicted that there would be goal rain because PSG would score many goals but I have started thinking otherwise.
But Chelsea has to win this match because Graham Potter has all the players he needs to win. What the team needs now is motivation and good coaching.

Liverpool started badly but they won. Liverpool's midfield is the heart of this team. Thiago's recovery has been a great addition to the team. The game vision are top notch. Liverpool had no trouble setting up the game. Still needs a transfer to midfield. When Thiago is not in the team they have a hard time making a game. Ajax defense gave Liverpool a huge deficit in set pieces. Ajax actually made good use of the positions it found. Blind's shot was the breaking point of the match if there was a goal, the match would have ended differently. Lastly, I think Liverpool are also lacking in finishing. If they want to see the final in the Champions League they should come to their senses as soon as possible.

It's very strange to think like that because you can easily determine the favorite team to qualify for the next round if you look at the teams in different groups. If you don't agree with the weak team, then what do you think about Victoria Plzen, Copenhagen, Macabi Hafia and several other teams who are in the same group as the top teams?

It is true that sometimes weak teams can also win, but that is much less common when other top European teams are against them. This is not disrespect for a weak team qualifying for the Champions League, but this is a situation to judge the condition of the competing team. Favorite teams qualify for the next round more often than other teams that qualify through qualification or through their respective leagues.

I wouldn’t call it a disappointment in its entirety and anything short of the first place isn’t a failure in my opinion. This is the champions league where the best teams in their respective leagues comes together to play for the ultimate champion. Everyone knows he’s a great coach and Manchester city being in top form is viable to win the cup but so are other teams playing for the esteemed cup. He has spent a considerable time and has won tournaments for the club. When he’s let go or decides to leave, who would be best suited to take the reigns?
