I absolutely have to agree with you, and it isn't just the victory against Newcastle that made the difference, but the preceeding victory in the Merseyside derby against Everton; i know i said a couple of weeks ago that Real Madrid would pick Liverpool apart if they didn't improve, well they have improved and that isn't going to happen anymore, we now have a real contest on our hands across the two legs.

Having said that, football most times is about confidence, now that Liverpool have got two victories on the bounce, the players will be buzzing, and they would have extra confidence, i am happy about that, because as a neutral i can watch an entertaining game of football eagerly contested between two world class sides. Anyway i still think Real Madrid will come out on top, but it is going to be tough for sure.
