It's now a problem to all the England teams in the champion league round of 16. Non was able to record a win in the first leg.
Manchester city whom I thought was going to have an easy qualification to the next phase is giving me cold feet on their ability.  The more difficult circumstance is chelsea who will have nothing to talk if successfully sent away by Borussia Dortmund. With Dortmund current form, it will be so difficult for Chelsea to turn things round.

Yeah, first leg matches with mostly teams were on back foot and have no good performance which allow them for having matches without pressure Liverpool is already out of the competition with now it's difficult task for them to overcome from this deficit of 5 - 2, but other three clubs are having some chance for going through into next round specially Manchester City and Tottenham because I have been feeling these both were better sides and also having good record at home which can allow them for having better results in second leg matches but like Liverpool, Chelsea is also facing trouble and their losing streak just end against Leeds United which was also not impressive they need to be very tough against Dortmund if they want to stay for any positive change, but things are not favoring them, and they are also can face early exit.

City's chance to overthrow Leipzig in the second leg is quite big, because in terms of quality, Leipzig is below City. but, what's interesting is the Chelsea vs Dortmund match. because after all, it was not an easy match for Dortmund to move on to the next round phase, even though Dortmund only needed a draw in the match against Chelsea. because, Chelsea will not let Dortmund easily topple them.

At least, this match will present a very interesting match because Chelsea will go all out to win the match over Dortmund. I'm sure Edin Terzic is well aware of that. most likely, Dortmund will play more defensively in the match later. Bayern Munich this season they are too strong possesses a uniform squad, the game has improved compared to last season when balancing between defense and attack. I think Neymar will have to miss the next 2 matches, Neymar will not be able to recover from an ankle injury to join the PSG squad in the confrontation with Bayern Munich, Surely his absence is a significant loss for PSG in the effort to come back. In the first leg, the French capital team lost 0-1 at home. I also heard that midfielder Kimpembe will also miss this match due to an Achilles tendon injury in the match against Marseille in the 25th round of Ligue 1.

I am not entirely sure if Bayern is better this year than last year, by the looks of it they are not, look at the league and you will see that they are basically worse at this moment, at least in the league.

However, PSG is not doing that great neither, and it is not even about Neymar because they can win without Neymar too, they are doing a bit better, but at the end of the day we are talking about a team that will end up with a lot of trouble if they don't start playing better. Even with just Messi and Mbappe they should be able to win, and that is why they need to be much better, Bayern don't have stars like that, and they still manage to win.

We expect much more from both teams PSG and Bayern Munich mostly because of their financial situation and the investment they had for this season, I think comparing the last years Bayern Munich is not performing well enough and they have Dortmund racing with them in Bundesliga for the title while PSG also can't use Neymar probably while in the last game, Bayern Munich won the game win a 1-0 result I expect to see a better performance from PSG in the next game to take revenge.

Chelsea secured victory in the Premier League against Leeds United yesterday. However, the Chelsea team also has a great influence in the Champions League. Although they have lost some matches, they still have a great chance to do well in the Champions League.

Chelsea was securing victory by playing monoton tactic. Potter is not a creative coach that can use various tactic for its club while chelsea can be called as a team with so many players. Chelsea has around 35 players in total. That means if the coach was so smart and chelsea can use various formation but potter keeps use the same strategy over and over.

We can see that from the statistic.



Dortmund is actually above compared with chelsea in all of things except the duration of ball possession which is not an important thing but dortmund is far leading compared with chelsea in total goals that already made.

It's clear that although if the next game will be happening in stamford bridge and chelsea is not become may favorite to win the match as dortmund able to perform better.

I think that we shall take a look at the performance curve from both of team.

As you can see that if chelsea is showing down trend while dortmund is still able to keep its performance to sustain. That's why picking dortmund is far more reasonable compared with chelsea.

These are some interesting insights. Both graphics are quite telling and it shows what Chelsea has to fix quickly if they want to advance to the next round. The performance trend curve allows only for one interpretation, or not even an interpretation, but an apparent difference between the two teams. Dortmund is above 90 all the time while Chelsea is way worse.

What I don't understand about the performance trend lines, is every subsequent data point scored relative to the previous one? That is sort of misleading because the volatility in Dortmund's line suggests that they are not very consistent, but they are consistently winning, only the number of goals deviates between the data points. It is odd that the 5:1 is so much higher than the 0:2 when you then compare the 4:1 to the 0:1. Do you know how they calculate that line?

Yes, I agree with you, Real Madrid is very different when playing in the UCL. Real Madrid has been fated to become the True King of Europe, because in the Champions League era, if Madrid had advanced to the final round, they would definitely win and become champions, meaning that the bottom line is that Real Madrid is so tough and powerful when it comes to the UCL final.

I think that the odd of 3.85 for Paris is a good one to give a try,it is near 4 and everything can happen with a team like Paris which has a lot of star players in them.I am not saying that I am underestimating Bayern Munchen as you can never underestimate a team like them but I am just saying that it is worth to give a try for Paris because Paris is trying for so many years not successfully to get to win the Champions League and this would be if I am not mistaken their 10th consecutive year without such title.I am not saying that they will qualify but that they have got nothing to lose and will go all in here because in Ligue 1 they are already the winners there.

Manchester City must be able to appear to attack and score goals as quickly as possible, after that they can control the game comfortably. In the previous meeting they actually could do it, it's just that they found it difficult to penetrate the defense built by Leipzig and create goals for the second time.
