You're right, I assumed it was only for the third round matches.  

Those Group C matches was too sweaty during the second half when both of the winning teams are somehow up 2-0 at one point and Mexico is desperately needing a goal to secure top 2 while Poland needs to hold for another 20mins or so.

Also, the Giroud question went as expected since France didn't care as much up until the near end of the game after Tunisia got a goal in.

Belgium showed absolutely nothing so far in the competition. They looked really bad and if this was any normal stakes game I would say easy win for Croatia but this is the game to pass the group and anything can happen. I still think we will do well but I am bit afraid what happens if it is draw around min 60, it will be good enough for us and we could start thinking only about defending and that will end up badly for us.

Maybe he messed that penalty because it wasn't a penalty. I mean, Szczesny touched Messi's face with his hand while he was falling and when the ball was already heading out of the field an no one could have get it. For me that shouldn't have been ruled as a penalty and it probably wouldn't have been ruled if someone else than Messi was in question.

I mean, if the goalkeeper misses the ball and his body hits the player in the face, it's a penalty regardless of how soft it was, because there was contact with the player rather than the ball, and the keeper also missed the ball. btw, Szczesny had a good game and was the reason Poland qualified, but it would have been worse had that PK gone in the 1st half. Aside from the PK miss, Messi was the best player on the field, but MOTM only goes to a goal scorer, not the best player tactically nowadays..

I'm still in the game mathematically, but realistically, I've given up. It was enjoyable while it lasted. My group's two underdogs are on top.

If Morocco can do it, why not Croatia ? sentiments aside Croatia are miles better as a team compared to Belgium. Roberto Martinez is just trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, He's just having a bunch of guys playing together with zero team chemistry, I don't understand why Trossard and Tielemans can start together or the essence of playing 3 at the back and having a bunch wing players all playing in the midfield and there is no centre forward you can trust with crosses and cut backs, what's wrong with playing four at the back and have Witsel, Tielemans and KDB as playmakers in the midfilder then settle for whatever 3 players he wants at the front, having Onana playing ahead of Tielemans in the second game or stuffing Carrasco into the lineup in midfield and Thorgan Hazard in the second game as well, just to have Trossard on the bench seems like shooting one's self in the foot.

I believe this game will won or lost right from the lineup and formation Martinez decides to go with today, and I'll gladly have my money on Croatia if he keeps up with those absurd antics.

I tried to stay up last night to watch and ended up sleeping just before the match started, so messed up my day and missed the game anyway but that was some kind of drama I think for Mexico. All they needed was to score 1 more, and ended up confirming Poland when they let Saudi score.

I totally agree Croatia has better chances, better team, Belgium I think made a big mistake playing Hazard but I guess I shouldn't comment without watching, just surely they have better bench to choose from? Also never imagined de Bruyne would be such a shit pick for fantasy.

I fancy our chances today. Belgium has been really disappointing so far, they should have lost both of their games.

We were really good against Canada and compact against Morocco, Belgium is the team that needs to attack and that can work in our favor because we can frustrate them with our possession game and look for gaps.
A big plus for them is the return of Lukaku - he is crucial for their gameplay. Add de Bruyne to that and you have a team that can beat anybody, so we'll need to be on top of our game to progress.

In my eyes we are the favorites today. Hope we show it.

Today , I'm not so sure about Belgium:( and they were my favorites to win the trophy but after what I saw in 2nd game of them , playing almost nothing , they don't deserve to qualify for next phase and Crotia , to be honest , are still playing a top football and they are kinda the same age like Belgium ...maybe some of them even older than Belgium players so DeBryune saying that they are getting older is just a lame excuse in my opinion.

I think all the players mentioned are still pretty dangerous in their own specific ways, but they are being deployed in the wrong setup, Martinez is the only one looking very clueless, why Mertens as a 9, I'd rather have Hazard or De Bruyne and play Tielemans in Centre of the midfield, but he just keeps trying every setup in each game like a coach that doesn't have an idea about his players strengths and weaknesses.

Morocco being ahead of Canada have already made things really complicated for both Croatia and even worse for Belgium, their only chance of qualifying for round of 16 is to win the game.

Hell, Modric got a 7.08 and De Bruyne a 7.2. Probably fair, however, I would have done the opposite (not only because I chose Modric  ) since the Croatian team reached the goal, but the Belgian team did not. The number of chances that all feel for Lukaku during those minutes of coming shows how much they needed a centre striker, but Martinez opted for the worse choice and the shortest of them all, why play Mertens as a centre when there's Batshuayi on the bench, I'm not Batshuayi apologetic but it's a no brainer to have Mertens in the role of a centre striker ahead, Belgium scored only one goal this tournament, despite their attacking varieties and it was no other person than Batshuayi who scored that goal. I think it's pretty much time that both Roberto Martinez and Henry step down from their positions as the coaches of the team, then end of an Era, The Wooden Generation..
