They did it successfully at the end of the day, didn't they ? I'm very much disappointed that Argentina fell for every single one of them despite how experienced and exposed they are, they looked so primitive a team being caught in those margins, and it should easily have been avoided! I'm livid rn!

They sure did... And yes they played well in the first half in general, but they really fell for every offside trap, too easily, all the time, I'm with you here, disappointed they weren't more wise in that way. Teams usually defend deep against them, Saudi went brave and high line, and did it so well. Don't think I saw so many offsides in one half since watching Pippo Inzaghi 20 years ago...

It did not seem like a bore draw from glimpses I managed to steal while working. This was first bad day in the WC for me, lost all my tickets on Argentina and then one that survived on Denmark. Both results came as a big shock to me and I thought these were maybe the best pairs to bet on in the whole match day. But since I have a nice bank from couple of consecutive wins i doubled down and place an enormous recovery bet, we shall see how it goes. Let's just say I need Poland to not loose and then some snooker to make it more lucrative.

I agree. I guess that so many games in their national leagues and European leagues is killing them. I can only imagine how tired they must feel and now they have to play a game every few days. The timing of this World Cup totally messed everything up.

Nice one man! Good hit! It's one of those days that it pays off to chase the bigger odds, but Argentina ML would have felt like the safest option, so I feel your pain with the other bet you had to lose, but you didn't have anything on Saudi Arabia ML @ 29 Odds, did you ?

I think we might be up for another boring goalless draw, between Poland and Mexico, Mexico have been the better side overall, but I don't think they find the breakthrough goal, and goalless draw would be in the best interest of Messi and Argentina too right ?

I don't agree with this at all. All top leagues aren't even to the half way mark, meaning players should be way more ready and less tired for this WC then in usual time after whole season has ended. Problems will come in few months time when leagues plus euro cups will be in full swing and players that played in Qatar start feeling that extra fatigue and muscle injuries become even more frequent.

Ah, maybe that's why UCL group stage was over a month before it usually does. Because it started before than usual.

As for Qatar national team, they could have had them together for years and everything would probably be the same because they simply lack the quality to play in the World Cup level. They are the real proof that money can't buy everything.

Two bored draws for today in world cup, but France was amazing against Australia and saved the day, this is making my predictions better for them being world champions.
I was really surprised with Argentina losing against Saudi Arabia, my bet was on them winning first half like they did, but second half was nightmare for them.
Who would guess that Saudi Arabia will be first in Group C after first round?

It's fun so far indeed. I'm not sure how it would work for league with 38 rounds, maybe I would become bored evntually, but short tournament like World Cup it's perfect. I have 3/5 correct predictions so far, so I guess it's not great, not terrible.

I guess that African and Asian federations had more freedom with their leagues than Europe, when to stop it and start preparation for World Cup.

The reason may be because the football competition especially in Asia is not as tight as Europe so stopping the League at any time is not too much of a problem and not only such things can be found in Asia but also the establishment of national holidays which can be done only for such reasons examples of Arab Kings who declared a national holiday because the national team beat Argentina I don't think that will happen in Europe or America

It is difficult to put together a team in just two weeks from some of the national team with new coaches and some new players coming in to play for the national team for the first time, and this affects African countries the most because 4- 5 new players are always coming into the team for tournaments like this, and sometimes new coaches as well. If it wasn't for the fact that Covid19 messed up the entire world for one year, we wouldn't be having this conversation and tournaments in the middle of the season. Most European teams have it easier because most of the players have been playing together under the same coach for a long time, unlike American and African teams, where new players are integrated into the team at every international game

Qatar was never a football nation and  fixing in more African migrants into the team wont help them either, i noticed that's what they did.

In discussions back here in Asia, a lot of bookies lost money apparently, (underground bookies since we all don't have legal sportsbetting lol) because a lot of Saudi supporters bet big money and I guess odds were over 20x.
