Is there something I am missing? Any way to turn off doge etc as a payment method?
Would not have switched to the local payments option had I known.
I'm about to submit a ticket for this, but I just switched to local payments, generated addresses for BTC and LTC (but not Doge) and got a renter, who chose to send me Doge. I take it local payments means I am roped into accepting any of the three? Perhaps I am daft, but that was not well communicated. I love the minimization of TX fees, but if I don't get to choose the coinage I accept, that's a bummer. At the very least, I hope it's not a bug and the Doge he paid is lost since I didn't generate an address!

If you didn't generate an address for doge his payment will sit there and we will get continuous error reports on processing the payment. I think I finally won the argument that everyone should not have to accept every currency and we are moving forward with a remove currency feature. For now you may want to make a doge wallet so you can get paid. Let me know how to update everyone on the sites pending and rolled-out changes.

Doge address generated, and don't take my complaint too hard - I love the local payments idea and think it's been a long time coming. IMHO, clicking that Accept Local Payments button should have popped up window asking for confirmation that you are willing to accept all forms of payment and that any cryptocurrency addresses that weren't generated will automatically be generated to ensure that payments can be accepted. Otherwise, you get a precarious situation like mine where you supposedly can accept local payments but, until you generate addresses, you really cannot.

BTW, your FAQ: https://leaserig.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/1000045037-local-payments-hourly-post-payments-and-lease has a line written in a way that can be left up to interpretation (which I did): - Once there you will see a "My Account" link containing three wallets for -- DOGE, BTC, LTC -- if you do not see an address or you see a generate button you must click the generate button to create an address and accept that currency as payment.
I thought that meant that if I don't generate the address, the system would automatically disable payment to me on that currency.

This happens in all such threads. Eventually the operator goes mad and/or throws things and/or stops being polite or worse. Apart from Mass email/PM/Post/Giant Letters all combined for each site change?
may I suggest another thing that won't work? Another thread for announcements only. You lock it so we all don't muss it up with our critiques. We can sing your praises or not on this thread here. If you keep the whole thread really short, maybe some of us might look at it, but I don't promise.

Email. It's kind of, like, the standard way of communicating over the Internet?! Also, I won't be trying the local payments thing until I have a way to go back, should I choose. I'm a little concerned that Leaserig has been getting more klugey lately. But the good news is the site works just fine for me! Satisfied customer here. But maybe slow down a bit and go for a more flawless execution?

If you are the provider, just subtract all the minutes left in the lease. If you are the renter, contact the provider.

If you are the provider, just subtract all the minutes left in the lease. If you are the renter, contact the provider. As part of the initial cancellation code, negative lease extensions have been disabled.

Doesn't disable mining rig do that? Or having support set your rig to no-rent?

Honestly I don't understand either version. I'm assuming you are using market pricing for rigs and changing it often? You just want the rig to not be rent-able for a period of time?

Let me explain. Right now, rig BRP is around 0.009 BTC/MHs/Day. I have my 0.50 MH/s rig's 72 hr plan set at 0.009 BTC/MHs/Day. = 0.0135 BTCLet's call this plan A. Then, for example, prices drop to around 0.007 BTC/MHs/Day. I can freeze plan A, and use plan B, which is 72hr at 0.007 BTC/MHs/Day = 0.0105 BTCIf prices go up, I can freeze plan B and use plan A, without filling the form in again. If it drops, I can have plans A and B frozen, and make a plan C.
