I am surprised by people who are determined to commit suicide because of debt, after all debt is something that can be solved, message for suicides - why should you end your life and leave your wife and children without clarity, doesn't that only make them suffer more and the future of the children becomes uncertain!

If someone commits suicide due to gambling, that person likely thinks they are done with everything. And if he has debts and can't pay them, he might choose suicide to end everything. But he forgot how his family could carry on without him.

It must have been hard on his family, being abandoned by the people they loved so much. And it's all because of debt and gambling. When someone is already in debt and is only used for gambling, that is a fatal mistake because it does not guarantee he can get a win but he can get a loss. And if he lost, how could he repay his debts?

When someone  got addicted to gamble it will very hard to control the attitude.if someone is not addicted it can easily control it if he/she is not surrenders by gamblers but we he/she is always with gamblers it will not be easy for such to leave it because it will be motivated by does gambler, and easily such can get addicted.so the best to avoid all this stupid attitude, is to avoid addiction and to avoid addicted to gambling, is not to start. The majority of gamblers who take their own lives believe that even while they are still living, their life will never be in balance again because of all the crimes they have committed. Never treat gambling as a way to get rich; if you do, you'll end up with a terrible attitude that could result in suicide.

Im very lucky in that I grew up with maths bias, learning statistics and probability theory even when quite young.  So this is how I view the world on just about any subject there is a relevance to a range of outcomes always possible in varying degrees with various bias applicable.    This structured view of event outcomes helps combat addiction repetition or excessive risk taking in alot of subjects especially involving money and bets.
   I would recommend if someone is really struggling to reset their thinking and outrun a bad habit involving money, doesnt have to be pure gambling people can waste money on lots of spending activities but my idea is to learn the structure beyond what you are spending on dont be blind to risk vs reward and the maths behind a product.  I do think that could help fix the view of the world, its never just purely random theres always some pattern to recognize imo it will help addiction. Write down bets, compare contrast should have build up more of a considered view some games are better suited then others to revision and thought but to process better the game you play I believe it will help in progression.

Gambling is a strong addiction that once addicted is not easy to get rid of. Here it is impossible to get Medicare or medical formula that can completely get rid of gambling. But with good motivation and honest advice there is a possibility to get rid of gambling to some extent. In my locale people who are addicted to gambling often resort to anti-social activities like fights, robberies, thefts, murders etc. Bringing them under the law is not getting any benefit. However, an organization/institution called "Rehab" is working privately with gamblers and drug addicts in Bangladesh and they are already getting great success.

Maybe by isolating a place or island away from normal people to create a rehabilitation place where there is no internet connection or other gambling related games, but still facilitated as if living in one's own city only eliminates gambling activities or chronic bad habits.
and also doctors and psychologists and other related people to help with healing, and most importantly religious experts in accordance with their respective beliefs so that chronic addicts are closer to their creators and also social activities or full-time positive activities so that they can forget and gradually eliminate addiction, or negative things that are in him can disappear by itself back to the family with drastic changes.

Yes, it's really an unfortunate incident because out of all the people, it's the grandfather who took his own grand daughter to blackmail his own family. Every addict knows this feeling and some are even selling almost everything inside their house, some even resort to breaking other house just to feed their minds to continue from gambling, they just don't know what they're doing because it's already on their system which prevents them to weigh things from right or wrong.

I agree with that, I know that casinos and other gambling platforms are good for the nation's economy because the millions worth of tax will be helpful to build infrastructures and other things needed but if the nation is already booming already, it's time to ban these kind of activities because the consequences are not really worth it. Take for example South Korea, they have their own casinos but only the tourists can use it and not their own citizens as it's viewed as unlawful act and doing such will result into a jailtime.

The balance should be the priority here, if you are seeing that the bad after-effect are really huge then it's time to act though for corrupt government who only see the benefits and not the side effect of this business, we can't do anything as they will have their own reasoning to protect the so-called economy which really been booming because of those gambling business around.

That pattern that is very common in those gambling addicts who already have wives, they always force their wives to ask for money or items that can be sold and then used for gambling by force, bad things to persecute his wife or even more terrible sell his wife.

I was really upset when I read the news that the OP shared. It was upsetting to learn that a person did such a thing to a small child. However, I would like to mention this detail. If that bad guy was addicted to something else, he would still do this bad behavior. I think what needs to be discussed on the main axis here is addiction. Because that bad guy was a drug addict, he could repeat the same bad behavior. I hope everyone can control themselves. Unfortunately, if we cannot control ourselves, we may experience similar endings.

This is common thinking that strikes human minds. It all happens all of the sudden and if he overcomes that few seconds surely he won't think of it. Even myself have thought of suicide and all. This happened when I've lost big and I don't have any source to compensate the loss. Again I've got good sum of debt. That was the first big loss and by the time it happens. I had fear in mind, because the money I lost is saved to settle my debts and apologized with my girl for what I've done. She stood supportive that we can manage. That is where a family or close support is needed.

Any addict that is addicted enough will basically do anything to obtain the thing that the person is addicted to.

There are of course different levels depending on what causes the addiction, but the brain is an interesting thing and it will create crazy plans to obtain what it is lacking.

In a way this is a powerful machinery that could be used extremely successfully when the addiction is positive, but also a horrible thing when the addiction is negative.

Not only gambling but anything about money in the world if don't have control over how to manage it, it should be lost for sure. Drugs and Gambling are always connected to each other. Sometimes a person doesn't have the confidence to bet high money before drugs consume and it's repeated many times before losing all his capital. So, If a person has a problem with drugs, he must be got therapy on how to stay away from gambling, or If he likes everything (gambling and drugs) just select one, and don't ever do it together.
