Zalgiris or Struga are going to be Galatasaray's opponent in the next stage of the qualification phase. Zalgiris seemed to be much stronger in the first leg and they were being favoured by bookmakers quite much as well. But despite all that dominance it ended up with a goalless draw. I'm happy for not betting on them because I thought that for once.    I really want to start betting on Champions League matches on one hand but I don't want to bet on teams that I have no idea about. I have lost quite much money due to that before.

But when we have Galatasaray's matches against one of these teams I would bet in favour of the Turkish team. Because there is a huge gap between them and Galatasaray continue to get even stronger with new quality additions to the squad.

Hearing the news before I never believed that Newcastle could borrow Ronaldo just for the sake of Champion League readiness, it was news that was fried by the media to become a trend but I was sure before that he would definitely stay with Al Nassr, I thought that Ronaldo was old enough and Newcastle did not need to want him because there were still young players who were more talented if the Newcastle scenario wanted him but it was just a rumor.

Even when I saw the news, I was unsure if it was true. How could Newcastle borrow Ronaldo from Al-Nasr to play for them in the Champions League when there is a league for Al-Nasr in which Ronaldo will be playing for them? In addition, I was confident that it was not true because Newcastle also has young players who will perform well for them. I can't see why they would borrow Ronaldo for the Champions League when there are also players that are more experienced and will do well for them as well.

Well Ronaldo and Benzema will play in the same league but as opponents on the pitch, it's more European players playing in the Saudi Professional League that are getting a lot of attention now.

However, I think they will try their hardest to move those teams up. We can see how Ronaldo has contributed to Al-Nasr since they signed him; he has helped the squad become known worldwide, if not to anyone who has even heard of Al-Nasr before. It will be entertaining to see the Benzema and Ronaldo squads facing each other and competing, and we can't wait to see them play for them.

Kane can't save Tottenham right now. I think it would be better for Tottenham if they sell him for the amount Levy wants and use the money for strengthening multiple areas of the squad. No matter how much Kane perform Tottenham will just continue to create new disappointments for their fans. They couldn't even make it to the Champions League this season.

What Tottenham need is to improve the match strategies and make the teamwork much better than this level. I still remember Tottenham's 2018/19 Champions League journey. They reached even the finale even though they couldn't win the title against Liverpool.

Zalgiris's odd is not so far compared with struga but i prefer to take zalgiris over struga.

We already started some actual games of this upcoming season,as yesterday and today we have the weakest teams playing in preliminary elimination rounds,quite some surprises yesterday night from so respected teams who even at a certain point have been in group stages like Ludogoretz who lost 2-0 to KF Ballkani who on the other hand has been Europa Conference League group stages,yesterday was the first preliminary round so we have return legs.

I saw some games and of course the quality of these game were low but it is good that we are officially under way for the 2023/2024 season with games being played.

Today there is also a match between Farul Constanta against Sheriff Tiraspol and in the odds show, at least Sheriff Tiraspol is not favored because it may have higher odds. In fact, if I remember the previous seasons that Sheriff Tiraspol has better experience to play in the Champion League. So, with Sheriff Tiraspol not being the favorite to win in this match, but I think I will still choose Sheriff Tiraspol because I slightly believe Sheriff Tiraspol has a better chance because they have probably better experience too.

But these outliers don't necessarily repeat in the subsequent season. It's also two years ago when they had this spectacular start into the group stage against Real Madrid, but after that they failed to qualify for the Champions League again and lost against Pilsen and then they also lost against Nice in the round of 16 in the Europa Conference League. I wouldn't expect too much from them, but you are right that they have some more experience. I don't think they will come very far in the competition, but I am ok if they surprise me again.

I can't believe that it already started, we are just at middle of July and we are already getting champions league games. Of course this is just very early stages, and that means teams are not going to be big teams and we are not going to see too much fun games just yet, but it is still there and I feel like it is going to be fine. Mixed feelings at work and probably the De Gea effect is still hurting some fans and that's why they are not happy otherwise as a fan of a club, I do defend my club even when they are wrong, I do it sometimes to avoid being bullied and it also fun to blindly argue when you know the truth but anyways we can't deny the fact that Erik has not done much in this market transfer, they ought to have seal many deals since the transfer window became open for every club to buy and sell.

I also think the guy above went overboard because not even an Arsenal fan will sit down and compared Manchester United perfomance with Arsenal just because they had a great come back for just a season after so many trials, I will be among to confidently say that Arsenal will not win this Champions League if they should advance to any place in the League, they don't stand the chance this season, they may repeat what happen to Barcelona last season on the Champions League to Europa and still got eliminated.

The fact is that the domestic league has not yet been rolled out, so we cannot predict with certainty how Arsenal will perform in this competition. it would be very natural, if many doubt it and I really understand that. because after all, Arsenal have been absent long enough in this competition. also, their players don't have much experience. plus, mostly dominated by young players. however, at least the Gunners are better prepared than the other teams in terms of team depth.
So far, Arteta has done his best for his squad and even brought in a few new arrivals. Newcastle had their best season last year and I don't think they can do better than that, not taking anything away from Newcastle but their success has a lot to do with other top clubs not playing well. They can't play both in the champions league and premier league with the same energy they used last season. I'm of the opinion that the best they can do is Round of 16. They better not try to over step their power and concentrate on the premier league so they can try to challenge for it. They were never in the conversation last season but this season they should try to challenge for the premier league and leave the champions league to the teams that can do the job.

Ronaldo playing in the champions league will be interesting to watch and if Newcastle can get him then maybe they can go further than I initially predicted. The presence of Ronaldo in the Newcastle squad will boost their confidence and he Ronaldo will also put in his best to perform so maybe he can get an extra year on his contract to play in Europe. I only expects the best team to become winners. The UEFA Champions League is a tough one, we have good times to relaxed and prepared for what's coming. Mikel Arteta is an outstanding coach who safeguarded the most important aspects the workforce this summer by signing his ultimate transfer objective, Declan Rice.
