For a team like Barca i won't be using their performance in their main league competition and be judging in other competitions because there is this spirit that comes in the UCL. Especially for a team like Barca who have had the opportunities to win the league several times. I do not underrate them in the UCL. They are similar to Real Madrid when it comes to this characteristic. Real Madrid may flop in other competitions but whenever they meet any team in the UCL they will beat them hands down. I agree with you about Barcelona having poor performance recently but it seems they are trying very hard these days for the team for the Champions League because it seems this team won't give up easily in this tournament and that's why Barcelona added two other new names to their list forte Champions League. UCL gives different vibes but the performance fro the domestic league has very big influence to the performance from the team. I think that's really wrong that if the club will not be affected with the performance in the domestic league but i can't deny some clubs were wining UCL when they were struggle at the domestic league but look at the fact.

Yes, Inter Milan is in form lately, but when it comes to their game against Atlético Madrid , I don't think they will find this game easy to win because, I have known Atlético Madrid as a stubborn team when it comes to anything pertaining the Champions League games, despite that they have not been consistent with their performance in a couple of games now but ATM got good experience to play and even deny any team the opportunity to win regardless of how form the opponent team is at the time of meeting.

Atletico Madrid is very resistive with their defense line and that will be what inter Milan will have to battle to be able to get a win in that game and this will mean they will have to put in some extra effort to make sure they are able to break the defense of Atletico .

I mean Atletico is not that weak either. They managed to win against Madrid, didn't they? It would be interesting to watch as a neutral if Madris plays a high defensive line and pressing game instead of sitting deep and waiting for counterattacks with no pressing at all. Based on stats alone it doesn't seem like they love to sit deep this season, which is a good thing for neutral since watching a defensive game can be quite boring[1]. They have a solid xG and a solid goal difference as of now, which means they don't underperform or overperform so far (apart from the goals they scored maybe). CMIIW.
