I know that Liverpool disappointed us yesterday against Galatasaray, but I won't allow that to push me into believing that Chelsea will win against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge because Chelsea isn't in good form currently, and they were lucky to defeat Benfica in their Champions League match yesterday. If I am to place a bet on Chelsea vs Liverpool game this weekend, I would rather double chance on Liverpool.

These two consecutive defeats prove that Liverpool is not perfect and has weaknesses. This means they have gaps that Chelsea could exploit. Both of these teams are currently in an unstable position. In other words, they have problems that other teams can take advantage of. So let's see who will win. Statistically, Liverpool should indeed be favored. They have made many sensational transfers, although so far we haven’t seen these transfers perform at their maximum. In addition, 2 Liverpool players are currently injured, meaning they will miss 2 important players: Alisson Becker and Ekitike. It's hard to predict today.

I think Liverpool will lose points against Chelsea away too this weekend. It is always difficult for them at Stamford Bridge actually. Especially in the Premier League...
Let's have a look at their last a few head-to-heads there... Liverpool couldn't beat them away in their last 4 league games. 3 draws and a loss.
Chelsea are deprived of Palmer though but I still think they will fight hard. Double chance on Chelsea @1.63 seems really nice!

Yes I also think Stamford Bridge is a tough ground for Liverpool, they haven't played very well at home in the back to back (H2H) matches. From what I understand from their last four league away games, yes Chelsea's attack is a bit sluggish in the absence of Cole Palmer, but on the other hand Liverpool are also weakened by losing their goalkeeper Alisson. All in all, the match could be balanced, Chelsea could go in as favourites but there is a risk. I would say a double chance on Chelsea at around 1.63 would be reasonable yeah however dont stake too much on it, size smaller than usual. rather i would like to go 'Chelsea or Draw'/DNB options could also be seen. The excitement will increase if good players are present. Good Luck,..

I'm as surprised and disappointed with Liverpool's result against Galatasaray yesterday as you are, because I never expected Liverpool would draw against Galatasaray; talk more of losing to Galatasaray.
What’s really wrong with Liverpool right now, they lost their last two matches which is really bad for them. Seriously I was just so confident that Liverpool will win yesterday but they ended up losing. Liverpool defense is kind of terrible this season, which is making them concede easily, if Liverpool keeps on conceding goals easily, then they will just find it difficult to win some matches.  I was disappointed with the way Liverpool played yesterday, Galatasaray didn’t play anything special in the match, so it’s surprising how Liverpool couldn’t win in the e match.
I can't really tell what is wrong with Liverpool right now. Liverpool were the favorite to win against Galatasaray; even the bookmakers favored Liverpool, but I don't know where Liverpool got it all wrong, and they failed to defeat Galatasaray yesterday. I didn't watch Galatasaray vs Liverpool match; I was busy watching Pafos vs Bayern Munich, so I don't know if Galatasaray played well or not.
I think I like the fact that people are confused about what is wrong with Liverpool, after loosing two games, that shows that no team is superior to be beaten no matter how good they are, there is now so many uncertainty surrounding Liverpool performance, and the spotlight would be off from them, the doubts is quite good as well for the bookmakers, When Real Madrid lost to Athletico Madrid so many questions were being asked, just like question are being asked about Liverpool if they can really defeat Chelsea because it seems like they are having a bad season already, But right now Arsenal looks like a complete team, and are favorites to win the English Premier League.

The opening game of the week is Bournemouth - Fulham.

First of all, the home side has started the season quite well. Maybe they got 2 draws recently but this is a game to start winning again honestly. They beat Fulham home last season and Semenyo scored their only goal.

Considering that, I might make a single bet on one of the 2 options:

- Bournemouth win @1.90

- Semenyo to score @2.90

Maybe I might look for some more excitement by choosing the 2nd one.  Grin  Semenyo is in a great form these days...

What you are saying is very true, Liverpool might have lost their past two games but that doesn't mean that they can be ran over by Chelsea that is even in a worst form than they are, I wouldn't be betting on this game because it looks tricky to predict, but judging by their head too head record in their last five meetings, it seems like Liverpool have the upper hand since they have win three and Chelsea have won only once, but let's be assured of a very interesting and entertaining encounter between this two teams.

I didn't watch Galatasaray vs Liverpool match; I was busy watching Pafos vs Bayern Munich, so I don't know if Galatasaray played well or not.

Why pushing blame on Liverpool without looking at what they went through in that match. The way the fans coordinated noise and making fire work isn't something that should be allow under the federation of football, it was obvious how they were chanting and making noise, they were distracting Liverpool players when it was there turn to make moves, this happen alot in matches when opponents host games and are afraid of losing to away team.

This doesn't change anything for Galatasaray, you can't win by cheating because they have matches that are away. If they can't use their skills properly to win any game, there is no way they arr going to advance to the next knockout stage. Regardless of that match outcome, Liverpool is better than some team, with more 8 matches they can do the unthinkable to advance to the next stage, play off or knockout. It's possible that Galatasaray and Liverpool might meet again since they have same point now.

After the match day 2 of the champions league on 2 premier league side got a win which to me is poor. Chelsea and Arsenal are the only teams that got a win, Manchester city and Tottenham held to a draw and the English champions lost to the Turkish champions. It will be great to see all premier league teams qualify for the knockout stage, I hope they all do.

The premier league is back in action again this weekend and the most anticipated match is when world champions host the English champions at the bridge, both side are desperately in need of a win. One thing for sure is it going to be an interesting game, I really can’t wait to watch this one.

The moment a manager puts a player in front of the bus then it's time to fire him. It is not about bad results, he has been getting bad results since he joined, if it was about that then they should have fired him in May when the season was over and get someone else for the summer, the value of making your own transfers and running your own summer camp is insane and would help them be a lot better wit ha new manager.

Amorim should be fired for none of the results, not even the loss against fourth division team was the reason, he still kept his job.

The reason why he should be fired, is same as Erik Ten Hag, which is, even if manager has no fault, always say you are at fault and take the blame, and save your players, if you don't, players won't fight for you and team will lose.
Manchester United supporters will never agree that they have bad players, they will always defend their players come rain and sunshine but as a manager I expect a certain power to influence and demand the players you need so if as a manager you get one or two transfer windows and still fail to strengthen your squad with players of your taste then you’re already failing in your role so the blames will be on you. Ten Hag failed in that area and Amorim is also following same part.

Here we go again. Another case of Man City being dominant, taking the lead, just to waste it all in the last minutes of the game. It's getting painful to watch. They deserved 3 points tonight, but are going back home with just one. I guess that's still better than Liverpool losing to Galatasaray yesterday.

Newcastle and Arsenal are saving the Premier League's good name with impressive wins against Union Saint-Gilloise (4-0) and Olympiacos (2-0) respectively, so overall a pretty good day for English clubs.
After 2 rounds, none of the Premier League clubs participating in the UCL is below the play-off zone of the UCL table, but of course it's way too soon to draw any meaningful conclusions.
It must be said that they were very easy matches and that they won practically very easily, the worst happened to the others, however it was a good performance to show that they are also there, unlike other clubs who behaved terribly and made a bad impression.

They lost focus as the match approached its final minutes, and ultimately, a penalty meant they had to settle for a share of the spoils, despite their strong chances in the match. For some reason, I don't think Manchester City are back to their usual self; it seems their mentality has been disrupted by several disappointing results this season.
It's not just Manchester City, but Liverpool also suffered the same fate, having to endure defeat against Galatasaray, failing to even pick up a single point.

I have to disagree with you on this one Manchester united have good players, just that coach amorim is not managing the Manchester united team very well, his strategies and formations is what is killing that team, right now Manchester united need good defenders and attackers and amorim is there doing what I don't know only God knows. And there are no doubts that some players in Manchester United team are not performing up to expectations which I expected coach amorim to get that fixed by buying players that can carry on the legacy of Manchester united, because right now Manchester united is lagging behind the Manchester united team is not impressing we the fans. if only coach amorim can get things fixed in that team I think he won't fail just the  way coach Ten Hag failed. Ten Hag bought good and quality players during his management time at Manchester united, but he was on able to utilize them very well that was why he failed.

To a very high degree, I agree with you. Liverpool's loss against Galatasaray wouldn't be an effect so serious that would allow them play so badly for Chelsea to get a win against them this weekend. Yea, losses can effect a team negatively, but not in all situations. In this case, Liverpool has been a formidable force in the premier league, though they lost in there last league game against crystal palace, but I hope they will stand up against Chelsea.

On the other hand, Chelsea has not been strong enough, formidable and tactical as they should be. So, there strength to face Liverpool is questioned. Even though I would have loved Chelsea to win or even take a draw, I doubt if that will or can ever happen. Following Liverpool's two straight defeat, they will tread with caution and more formidable to turn the bad results to something good. The same thing also goes to Chelsea, they have been in bad game too, they would also pressure to turn the tides. Well, no matter what happens, football must happen, one side must win or points shared. We only await.

Has anyone watched the Champions League game between Liverpool and Galatasaray (Liverpool lost 1-0). I missed it and am waiting for decent highlights.
What went wrong? Stats (other than goals) are showing Liverpool had some advantage, but I expected a different result as I considered Liverpool to be a few levels above Galatasaray. Was it just bad luck or something else?

In another game, Chelsea earned 3 points on Benfica, with a minimum 1-0 win. Not an impressive one, but hopefully it will restore their confidence after their previous 3 losses in a row (excluding the EFL Cup win against weak Lincoln).

Arsenal, Man City and Newcastle are playing their UCL games tomorrow and are all favourites.
I missed the Champions League game between Galatasaray and Liverpool because i watched another Champions League game that was more interesting to me than Galatasaray vs Liverpool game. You can watch the highlights of Galatasaray vs Liverpool game on YouTube for you to know what really happened between Galatasaray and Liverpool. Chelsea managed to beat Benfica. I don't think the win will help to restore Chelsea's confidence because Chelsea isn't yet back to their best, and since Cole Palmer isn't available to feature for Chelsea, Chelsea will continue to struggle for the time being.

Its really strange to see this happening after so many years of seeing and suffering a super regular and solid Guardiola team, this Manchester City team is not longer that, they are a shadow of what a Guardiola team is, and worst of all after a lot of months of being in this uncertainity waters he still cant find a solution, so the irregularity still there and i dont see them becoming better at all.

Manchester City took the lead against Monaco early but they could not hold on to that lead. Erling Haaland scored for Manchester City against Monaco in the early 15th minute but Monaco paid for that goal in the 18th minute. What I mean is, do defenders forget their responsibility after conceding a goal? At the end of the first half, Erling Haaland scored another goal to give the team the lead again and Manchester City held that lead until the 90th minute, but towards the end, due to some mistakes inside the D box, the opponent got a penalty and this penalty brought the game back to a draw, as a result of which Manchester City had to finish the match with one point at the end of full time. The way Manchester City performed in this match, they should have left the field with a victory in this match but they could not finish the final well.

I wonder what will happen if things go on like this at Manchester United. Will Amorim get sacked? Or will he decide to resign before a likely sacking?

The Sunderland game ahead is a really critical one in my opinion. If they lose points again then Amorim could say goodbye with immediate effect.

As a note, Sunderland have started the season in a great way...

The man is not the problem Manchester United is facing. The team was already having this challenges before Amorim came to the club. I feel the board should be were the problem lies remember they have been changing coach, yet the problem is still there. I don't think they will sack him unless the board is tired of changing coach. Changing coach without result is an evidence that the coach isn't the real problem . Sunderland will definitely win Manchester United because am really amazed with Sunderland performance especially the match they played with Nottingham forest, there performance was really outstanding.

Guardiola is no longer staying long at Manchester City, i feel like his time there is done. If he can't regenerate back to how they were then unfortunately, he will have to consider an option of going somewhere else. The season is still long with more than 30 games left to play, they can make it back to top four but they are not showing signs to compete alongside Liverpool and Arsenal for the Premier League title.

It happens. Like Erik Ten Haag said 'Eras come to an end'. We saw it with Klopp and we're also seeing it with Guardiola.

Good to know that it was the well known philosopher Erik ten Hag who came up with this incredible quote because if he is known for anything, it is not for once having been a football coach.

It's very different whether a coach himself decides to stop being a coach or whether he gets sacked for bad performance. Ten Hag got sacked after two games, I assume it wasn't his best work.

Guardiola will still have some time get Manchester City up on their feet, but I think the advantage Guardiola's teams once had kind of melted away because other teams understood how to adjust to it or counter it.
