I am disagreed about few things with in last world cup if we have not hosted in England then surely I can say England is not going to win because host countries having some support even no one officially going to talk about this, but this is fact which allow England to win their first cup, but now their golden era is going to end with few players going to retire after this event.
Secondly now huge profit and good control of Indian sponsors are also having good impact on this game which is creating some mess-up, and you will watch few controversies in future as well because ICC is one of the most controversial sports organization with no power to handle things on merit.

When it comes to conspiracy theories then look at this way. There are many differences between World Cup tournament and IPL tournament so ICC may not follow what IPL did. The teams leading the points table must have got some advantages like the first team of the points table will play with the fourth team of the points table and the second team of the points table will play with the third team of the points table ie here but the team at number one of the points table is getting a slightly easier opponent in the semi finals. If the ICC tournaments have semi-final rules like IPL, then it will be seen that the team number two and number three in the points table will have to win two matches to go to the final, which is inconsistent to see in a big tournament like the World Cup. We are looking forward to seeing two qualified teams out of the four teams in this World Cup final.

Whatever you call it, but i am not going to argue with you on this (as i used to do previously:-[) and even with or without the conspiracy theories, the Indian team have come a long way and they are no doubt the best team in all departments. It's hard to compare them with any team at the moment.

To be very very honest, I think it will be unfair if Indians are not the champions this time. As JSRAW mentioned, a bad patch in knockout matches, can sometimes be very costly but hope they don't get that bad patches in the next two matches.

Today is the 44 th last game of this cup and next game will be semi final.  Almost Indian batting lineup is coming to an end and there was only few overs are left to play. I think at the end of their batting lineup India successfully managed almost 400 plus target if they neither lost wickets of current batsman KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer. Shreyas Iyer complete full awesome century and he scored 104 runs in 88 balls and he hitted nine 4s and two 6s. KL Rahul scored 88 runs in 59 balls and he hitted eleven 4s and two 6s. Both these batsman still not dismissed and batting in the field. If they set 400+ plus target then it would be impossible for Netherlands team to chase it because this team has performed very poorly in old games.

True, He could have added a couple of extra tons under his belt but he decided not to go for personal glory and focused only on attacking cricket, which is helping other batters.

The job is still not done so fingers crossed for the semis and need a few more innings. If India is able to defeat the New Zealand team in the semifinals then the team they meet in the finals will get defeated too. I have fear of uncertainty in my minds as India always fails to deliver in ICC trophy.

Yes, I agree with this proposal and I think this structure should be followed in all ICC tournaments. Instead of the first team in the pool standing playing with the fourth team, better for the first and second teams to play with each other and be given another chance to qualify for the finals for the team that lost this initial match.

Here in this World Cup, the goal was only to reach the top 4 teams and another target was to make it up to 3rd position, so the team could avoid the 1st position team in the semi-finals. You may finish 2nd or 3rd, but there was no incentive to push hard to move to 2nd spot.

Had it been the qualifiers round, Both Australia and South Africa would be willing to end up 2nd, so that can get two chances in the playoffs. This would have added more competition and more trill in the tournament.
