Well, Indian fans are biased for their cricketing heroes but they are not braindead for sure, i understand you used this as an example but still no matter how big a player is if he's playing with 50 or 70 SR in ODI then he'll face criticism, and for the right reasons. One example is see fans react to Kohli in the T-20 format, he faces criticism over his SR regularly but in the ODI virtually never.

I don't follow Indian cricket too much but I follow them when they play against my country or play in an ICC event. I did not know that fans criticize him for his T-20 Strike rate. Before we criticize any player, we have to understand the match situation. I wouldn't talk about Virat's strike rate if I saw Indian already had five wickets and he was playing as an anchor player there.

Do you know Mahmudullah Riyad from the Bangladesh cricket team (He was the top run geter for Bangladesh in this World Cup)? And Tamim Iqbal? There are some plastic fans in Bangladesh who criticize them for their low strike-rate innings. They do not understand that Tamim always loses his partner when they start the innings and Tamim has to bat slowly. Mahmudullah plays at number seven and most of the time Bangladesh cannot even play 50 overs. So, Mahmudullah had to bat slow because he want to play as long as he can.

Anyways, I guess you are the one (and Sinthara too) I enjoy discussing cricket in this thread. Most of others are coming here to give us a overview of a match. It's like they are writing a short report. LOL.

India is favorite .And India will win this World Cup . India is strongest team but I do not understand their planning for pitch change in Semi final with New Zealand. No team is playing like India  and in the his history no team played like that in their home ground. Australia is also good side but luck matters a lot in the World cup final. Australian batsmans Glenn Maxwell and David Warner can be dangerous for Indian team but Indian team have to give their 100 percent because Australia is World Cup Champion of 2015 and it has capability to win this World Cup .

I was checking odds at different sportsbooks. Most of them are giving India 4/9 (1.44), while for Australia it is 9/5 (2.80). Stake has given slightly better odds for Australia, at 2.78 (1.41 for India). I haven't yet decided whether I should make a bet. In case I do, then it will be in favor of Australia, because they always outperform during the knockout phase of the tournaments. Also, Australian pacers are in top form (especially Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc), and we saw this during the semi-final match between Australia and South Africa.

The South African bowlers made the match competitive despite giving away a  target of just 213 runs. However, Australian  batsmen batted very  well in the first 10 overs. He scored 74 runs in the first 10 overs. Travis Head's innings of 62 off 48 balls kept Australia in control of the match. However, the match became competitive due to  the poor performance  of the middle order. I expected  a more responsible performance from the Australian batsmen. With such a performance, Australia will not be able to do well against India in the final match. To do well in the final, Australia's batsmen need to do better. India is a very strong team. If the batsmen perform so erratically against India, the attempt will be by a big margin to the Australian team.

South Africa can’t qualify for the final due to their batting and fielding. They couldn’t take very easy catches so they should have loss as a punishment for not playing well and they had, but on the other hand, it is a very sad moment for South Africa because they did very hard work for the World Cup but they can’t make it real,

and South Africa don’t have any good thing because they lost in 2015 World Cup and the captain of that time was Ab de Villars who cried and this time it was Temba Bavumba cried in the stadium because of Semi final loss and not making his team to clear the semi final hurdle.

Their chokers tag has been stuck with them since 1992 and SA produced lot of legends in cricket but everyone failed to bring their team to this big event and they need to wait for another 4 years to make things to change. I wouldn't even blame the batting but their fielding vs Australia is the biggest difference in the demin final and SA dropped 3 to 4 easy chances due to the pressure situation that shows why they never reached big stage in WC.

But their SA spin attack along with Coetzee gave all of their work which made the match to be interesting.

Every batsman in India is in very good form. As they are not dependent on any particular batsman. So India is able to score big in every match. On the other hand, the performance of Australia's batsmen is quite erratic. They are not able to consistently perform well. Against South Africa, the team lost 7 wickets despite batting against a target of 213 runs.

Narendra Modi Stadium's pitch spin is helpful. And I think India's spin attack is stronger than Australia's. For these reasons, I consider India as the favorite in the final.

I am not saying that Australia are the favorites to win. But I simply don't agree with the odds. How can it be 1.4 for India and 2.8 for Australia? India having two times more probability to win? I don't think so. Australian batsmen struggled against South African spinners in the semi-finals. But then, India at this point is having a pace-based attack. Kuldeep and Jadeja will be there in the XI, but the majority of the overs will be bowled by the trio of Bumrah, Shami and Siraj. And by now, Australian batsmen know how to handle the Indian pacers.

There is no doubt all stage is set for the India to become third time world cup champions batting pace attack and spinners all are giving their best which is making things easier Kohli and Mohammad Shami mostly likely are going to be the best duo of this world cup with their extraordinary form.

Speaking of Bangladesh cricket, i am not going to sugarcoat at all. They are biggest disappointment on-off the field, virtually no performance but plenty of unnecessary drama and a big letdown for the cricketing community.

Likes of Sakhib, Das and Mustafizur still have some juice with some dignity but if i am being honest then everyone else seems a prime candidate for tablagi jamat similar to Rizwan or an extremely selfish player and due to recent events, You can also add Shakib to that selfish list.

But my opinion and my personal prediction is that India is the better form of the two teams in this final match. The way they played from start to finish was truly amazing beating every team by a huge margin and so far India team has not lost a single match. But the World Cup is happening in the soil of India, due to which they are strong, and the World Cup will be in their hands, it is predicted by everyone and the campaign is going on in the social media. We have seen Australia defeated in the previous match and the final match will start with that Australia on Indian soil. If every batsman in Australia bats brilliantly against India in the final match, then there is a possibility that Australia will win the cup. Tomorrow is the final match of India vs Australia. India can win this match due to its bowling attack and not only bowling, they had a very well batting attack and of course fielding stuff is also very good.

India has Muhammad Shami and in the previous matches, we have seen that he picked up 5 wickets in a single match, and Jasprit Bumrah is also a very great bowler, Muhammad Siraj is also a wicket-taker bowler. Two decades back Pakistan were impressive in Squash and Hockey with Cricket was still at the top, but now we have just cricket which is also going down badly due to personal ego's and political influence specially now after Babar Azam mostly are feeling this team is going down for the next four or five years in quality and performance so now if he is having third high rank spot it's not new with provisional minister and playing in PSL is already its mean most of the peoples those are controlling this are brain less peoples and having nothing to do with game and merit just bringing more conflict of power and things which are going to help mafia and non-professional peoples in this game those are controlling this all currently after Ramiz Raja.

No matter how strong Australia is in India, India is definitely strong on its own home ground. If Indian spinners can bowl well then Australian spinners like Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav can't bowl well. But another thing is that compared to Australia's great performance in the final, no one will neglect Australia in this final.
