I believe Bayer Leverkusen doesn't know how to lose; their comeback against Qarabag proved that. I bet on them to come back in the second half, and it worked out. Their fighting spirit has reached another level, and I'm confident this team will qualify for the quarter-finals by winning the second leg match.
Their unbeaten run continues; it looks like they won't rest just yet.

Winning with a 90+2 goal is cool and all but you can't rely on those goals if you want to keep your unbeaten run. I wouldn't be surprised if the narrative changed to "Leverkusen failed to continue their winning run due to overconfidence" if they lost last night. On the other hand, they deserve the point considering how dominant they were in that match. I also want them to go through since it will give a more interesting lineup, but who knows if Qarabag will surprise us again.

Liverpool offensive game did not give them the opportunity to develop their game. Well I had no doubts about Liverpool being a much better team and I knew they would win simply because there is a huge difference in quality between the leagues.I though did not think that they would go and totally destroy Sparta since the first leg,I thought may be they would win 0-1 or 0-2 but never 1-5.

In football, the quality of club has become the most important factor that can greatly affect the result from the game. Sparta has no chance anymore to get into the next round. The aggregate is very big and it's impossible for sparta to qualify. Sparta was not unable against secondary team of liverpool.
How can they compete with liverpool at anfield? Sparta needs to push surrender button. It will not even be capable enough to equalize the aggregates in the second leg.

I can only imagine what they will do in the return leg in Liverpool where most likely they will win with even a higher result.

Overall the Leverkusen team played quite well even though they were a little under in the first half and I think that's normal.
And with this draw, Leverkusen has a large enough percentage to be able to win in the second leg because they will be playing at their own home.

And finally AC Milan won the first leg against Slavia Prague with a score of 4-2. I think AC Milan is fine and if AC Milan is busy attacking that's right, because AC Milan will dominate throughout the match.
And AC Milan played too much on the wings, maybe that was one of their strategies but it worked, plus Slavia Prague only played with 10 players and they had to take advantage of it.

An amazing performance by Nunez! He was really on fire last night.    Both of his goals were worth watching. He actually has a great level of technique but we just haven't seen it very often since he joined Liverpool.

But the most important point is to see him trying his best. As there is Salah in the squad it is normal not to see him Nunez scoring as many goals as him. Salah is their target man mostly in the end. The only thing Nunez needs to improve is his consistency. If he decreases the number of opportunities he wastes his general performance would be found just enough.  

Liverpool really destroyed Sparta Prague by the way. Despite the rotation they still finished their opponent off. To tell the truth the score could have been way different too as Sparta Prague wasted so many opportunities.

Leverkusen's performance yesterday was such that it didn't give me much conviction, In as much as I wouldn't want to give a final verdict on their ability from the performance in a match, but sometimes the dropping of form and point by a team starts after a single game ended, they then get to further loose games or become weak such that they will further need time again to pick form and become as they were before.

I don't want to believe that Leverkusen may be prone to loosing their form soon because their performance against such a small team was such that they should have been able to comfortably get a win and possibly not concede a goal by the end of the game but it was quite u fortunate that they had to end the game in such a draw, although they did had a better possession and dominated much more than quaraberg but then they were literally loosing till the end of the first half and I almost taught they might not be able to get ahead again because they were two goals down.

Quaraberg had the first goal after which they scored the second but the. Leverkusen staged what looked like a come back in the second half but we're unable to make it a lead after equalizing the two goal, it made Leverkusen looked like they were lucky not to have lost even after all they did played, Leverkusen's performance was expected to get them a win but they couldn't get one hopefully the do better in their next meeting.

Personally, I admit that Liverpool is a team that has better and more complete attributes than Leverkusen, but I want to see Leverkusen in the final this season. It doesn't matter if he gets featured in this game if actually the injury he sustained was a minor one, Salah may come in to play during the second half due to his condition and depending on the situation of the game too because the result from this first leg can determine who wins in the end, just as the games are about goal aggregate to move to the next stage of the competition, therefore both first leg and second leg results are very important to take it seriously and not wait on second leg result, so resting Mo Salah when his injury is a minor injury wouldn't help matters because he is Liverpool's key player.
