3) 10 pushup sets in a day (right around 1 hour, 20 minutes between sets) = ranging and potentially averaging 40-60 pushups per set 400-600 pushups in a day. I have not yet done this, but I consider it to be quite doable based on my status when I did the 7 pushup sets in a day. I could probably strive to do this somewhere around the time that BTC prices next reach their ATH (currently at $73,794 - measuring from Bitstamp prices).
Even though yesterday, for logistical (scheduling) reasons and even personal energy reasons, would have had been a better than today, I was somewhat anxious to try out my number 3 and to at least do it once to see how it feels and to also anticipate that number 3 (10 pushup sets) is half as many pushup sets as number 5 (20 pushup sets), which will be my anticipated goal sometime around bitcoin going over $100k... but yeah part of the problem for today was that my first pushup set was not until about 10:30 and then my last pushup set was 23:48.. so all 10 pushup sets were still over a little more than 13 hours. So, largely my having had now done number 3 resulted in a new personal best of 530 pushups in 10 sets, so a range of between 45 and 65 pushups per sets and averaging 53 pushups per set. There were various times that I did not want to do it and I was ongoingly sore and I had some other issues during the day, so I even took about a 1.5 hour nap in the day... but I am glad to have had gotten through a whole 10 pushup sets in a day (so it that category is no longer theoretical, allowed for a new personal best and provides me with information regarding the feasibility of my estimates in 4 and 5 (15 pushup sets and 20 pushup sets)), and hopefully I can resist wanting to try doing 10 pushup sets in a day again until after the BTC price reaches another ATH, which is when it crosses over $73,794 - which who knows how long that will take? this week? or later? or never? Regarding number 4 (15 pushup sets in a day), I decided to change the BTC price trigger for me to do those 15 pushup sets for bitcoin touch at least $87k rather than my earlier proclamation of the trigger being at $85k... $87k just feels better to me in terms of a trigger for doing 15 pushup sets in a day. As far as my so far ability to average 53 pushups per set with the larger quantity of pushup sets, I am just not sure if I will be able to average that many pushups for each set for either doing 15 pushup sets in a day or for my doing 20 sets in a day. I do think that quantity of recovery time can end up making a difference in muscle soreness, and yeah maybe it also depends on how well I am feeling overall on the days in which I make such attempts to do that many pushup sets, including perhaps how much I might have had prepped myself well with my pushup sets in preceding days.. .to potentially being able to build up to the ability to do 15 sets and/or 20 pushup sets in a day. In the coming days, I am planning to go back to 5 sets per day as a kind of maintenance level.. at least for a few days.. to recover from the last strenuous pushup days. 100k,JayJuanGee,169,32490,2024-07-22

Still out of breath from setting a new single set high for myself. Yesterday, I didn’t do any additional weights or exercising other than my 100 push-ups. I also am getting a late start today. That combination had me feeling pretty good when I was around 30 push-ups into my set so I decided to go for it. I gassed out at 70. Still a ways away from 100, but it feels good to be making continued progress towards my goal.

Actually it's somehow ironic that 30 is now like my limit in a goal but I will keep pushing.

Still out of breath from setting a new single set high for myself. Yesterday, I didn’t do any additional weights or exercising other than my 100 push-ups. I also am getting a late start today. That combination had me feeling pretty good when I was around 30 push-ups into my set so I decided to go for it. I gassed out at 70. Still a ways away from 100, but it feels good to be making continued progress towards my goal.
Since about April 9th, I have had several sets over 60 pushups, and maybe around 30 pushup sets, and my highest was 69 on April 30th.. and I had a 65 in one of yesterday's set... For me, I am not really finding myself to be gassing out because there are ways to pace in order to keep being able to breath, but at a certain point my muscles start to fail, and I am not sure if it is the same thing.. so yeah, I can do more if I go faster, yet my form is not quite as good, but I still count them as good enough, and so there is kind of a combination of form and speed, and surely some of my faster pushups are more sloppy, so I still find that there is likely some advantage in some of my slower pushups that are not getting me as many pushups, yet at the same time, if ever I am going to try to beat my own personal record of pushups per set, I am pretty sure that I am going to have to do them fast otherwise, I won't be able to do as many, and usually it seems that me muscles are stopping to work rather than my gassing out - even though surely there is a combination of both going on.. yet for sure, when we started these pushups in early February, there is no way I could have even physically accomplished 40 pushups in one set.. yet I was able to get up to 4 pushups in a set within a week or so and it took me just over a month to get up to 50 in a set.. and another month to get up to 60 in a set... so surely it takes long to build up to both being able to do more and to do them with some kind of decent form, even though each of us is the judge to our own form and what we consider to be legitimate and acceptable form in order to count them in our own reports. And, by the way, yesterday when I was able to do 10 pushup sets in a day, I am still quite impressed with myself in regards to my average of 53 pushups per set, and sure I will admit that I was somewhat focused upon quantity over quality, but there still is no way that I can deny myself that there are a lot of improvements in my abilities to do pushups, including even being able to do a whole 10 pushup sets in a day.. so I am exceeding my own expectations and even setting higher goals, while at the same time realizing that I can ONLY do so much when it comes to overall physical exertions, so I still have to pace myself and also try to make sure that I am not over doing it in terms of how much time and effort and energies that I am choosing to spend on pushups versus other activities.. or other ways of spending my time and my focus. (Apologies if this has already been asked) Is there any way to seperate the table into two sub groups e.g. those who last posted more than 30 days ago (notionally called "inactive")
I can see at least a couple of participants last posted as far back as April.
Personally, I like this idea, too... yet I am not completely sure about the threshold of separation, even though 30 days does not seem unreasonable.. or maybe 50 days is half of 100, so 50 might also be reasonable... or some other number of days in the ballpark of such. Many of the active pushup report submitters are doing so on at least a weekly basis.. and my own has tended to be submitting my reports every few days.

Actually it's somehow ironic that 30 is now like my limit in a goal but I will keep pushing.
30 pushups as a max for a one time go, is kind of poor nevertheless it takes some time to go beyond that but 16 days already into this challenge should motivate you into increasing your potentials. Being able to do 10 sets of push ups a day with an average of 53 repetitions per set can be said to be quite impressive. Because personally, when I started doing push ups a few years ago, it took me 6 to 7 months to be able to do 50 push ups in one set. So the development you are experiencing can be said to be quite rapid, friend. Talking about quality or quantity when doing push ups, these two things seem to have a positive impact on your body. Because as far as I know, if you want to build bigger muscles, what you have to do is do push ups with few repetitions and use quite heavy weights. For example, if you don't have weights or weights when doing push ups this way, you can do push ups with a slow movement rhythm. For example, when going up, try doing it for 3 seconds and when going down, try doing it for 6 seconds. It has been proven that your muscles will feel hotter, which means they will maximize the muscles so they can enlarge (Muscle tissue is split more optimally). Then do push ups by prioritizing quantity (push ups with as many repetitions as possible). Doing push ups in this way will indeed be a little less effective in being able to build large muscles optimally. However, doing push ups this way is very good for your heart. Because doing push ups with lots of repetitions is a cardio exercise so it will train the heart better. So there's no harm at all in what you do, because doing push ups in any way will still have a positive impact on your body (whether you prioritize quantity or quality). Ya, gassing out may not be the proper term. I wasn’t having breathing issues, just feeling like if I went beyond 70 I would be risking injury. Being happy with my new single set high, I didn’t want to push it any further. I have to say that I am pretty happy with myself hitting 70 push-ups in a set. A year ago I had a broken arm which still hurts when I do long sets, but yesterday it held up pretty good. I may finally be close to being healed. If/when that pain stops completely, it’ll be game on.

Yeah, I totally agree I've been inactive for a while now, and that is because I've been really busy lately. Though most days I do my pushups but I feel really lazy or too busy to upload the results however it's obvious I have also not been active here on forum, and I just resumed posting. Sometimes when I get out I do another set. I’m guessing if I ate right, got the proper amount of rest, then warmed up properly, I would probably be able to do more.
