If the iphone wallet is added to the app-store it will be much easier to get people into the Guldencoin because allot of people here in the Netherlands have iphones. The only thing that we miss here in Utrecht is stores to pay with Guldencoins, i think it is time to go talk with the Subway here.

Please don't. We've gone over why this is not a good idea at the moment. Maybe when the DIGI code is live, and we've evaluated it's effectiveness, but not right now, please. -Fuse I ask, why push for a big exchange such as Cryptsy? Get more infrastructure and low-level person-to-person, person-to-market use in place first. Cryptsy access, right now, would just encourage pools to mine and burn.

The APIs that Cryptsy offers not only benefit multipools, but they benefit trading bots as well. Cryptsy is also pretty well known for the pump and dumps that happen there. PND groups will randomly pick a coin on there and play god with the price.
I've brought this stuff up every time Cryptsy is mentioned in this thread. So the negatives have been discussed. Let's do this differently.
What can Cryptsy do for NLG that the other exchanges that currently trade NLG can't do?

I've found Bittrex to be a much better experience overall. But we have spare exchanges: I can understand the volume concern, but getting accepted at Cryptsy isn't going to increase volume, it's going spread the volume thinner between Bittrex and Cryptsy. IMO, trading is in a lull right now. It has been for a while. When NLG was trading at a higher price, the volume wasn't an issue. When CM is off the chain, and the market isn't 70% insta-selling, we'll see a more true market for NLG on Bittrex. -Fuse

I echo Fuse's comments. Cryptsy, or another large/well-known exchange, wouldn't bring NLG true volume, it would bring more instant-awareness to a lot of the trading/mining-pool platforms out there. From there, you'd have an increase in nethash from people looking to get something from the coin. It would be a bubble/hype-inflation of volume, not real-user volume, and as such would eventually crash, and the cycle would repeat.
At the moment, presume that whatever percent of hashrate CM owns, is also the percent of trade volume occurring. A part of that may be genuine NLG users, and another part will be folks just mining to make money. Say 50/50. This means that the real NLG volume is lower than what you see even on Bittrex. We don't need to spread volume among the exchanges any lower, we just need to keep making infrastructure and security improvements to ensure that large hashrate doesn't stall the coin. Hashrate is good, even if it's from a multipool--but pumping and burning the coin isn't. Let them hash with us, but don't encourage the exchange burn.
Remember, after BTC/LTC/FTC, altcoins popped up essentially because people were upset they missed the initial inflation boat which brought many people into riches, so they tried to make their own, and lots of people just pump/dump. Let's not let NLG get caught up in that.

First,i dont trust cryptorush anymore but thats something else. i know there are more exchanges but cryptsy haves high volume traders. It's trusted just like bittrex. On every exchanges there are pumps and dumps, Botted or not it happens on all places. But i really do understand that cryptsy opens things for the "bad traders".But when the coin (algo etc.) is good it will get more positive exposure. I know its not a good time for now to add it on cryptsy because of the blockchain problems but when thats solved it is good. And getting some votes now already will place NLG higher in the ranking list so that means less votes to go to the top when Digishield is working the right way.
100% agree! No doubt about that

Personally, I see what you're saying, and I too am a big fan of Cryptsy (it's my #1 exchange), but aside from fandom and opinion, you haven't really justified putting NLG on Cryptsy. You've just outlined why you like something over something else.
Don't take my response personal, I'm not jabbing you, I'm just pointing out fact.

Am I missing something? What does Digibyte's private investor in Asia have to do with Cryptsy, or was that not the reason this was brought up? If the discussion is about looking for a private investor, and not the exchanges, then you need to have something for the investment to go towards. I think we would need to ask this one question- what would we do with $250k? If we're brainstorming projects, I would say one way to raise awareness is to target tourism with NLG themed "all-inclusive" packages. Maybe push for a bread and breakfast or small private hotel to take NLG. Or even create a home-swap/weekly rental site for people looking to stay in NL and NL provinces with NLG. Aruba is part of NL, right? I would pay NLG to stay in Aruba. I'd even pay to rent a flat in NL for a week. And if my NLG vacation included more shops and restaurants that accepted NLG, you could create that all-inclusive vacation that I'm talking about. Taking $250k to partner with the travel and tourism bureau would be a nice move. Another thing I've been thinking about is that 1 page ad that was discussed. $250k would go a long way to get some full page or half page advertising for NLG to bring recognition to the coin. Or one big party... like a launch party. Young hipsters in one big place at once... food, drinks, live music... and lots of info about NLG all around. There's lots of ideas I have bouncing around my head. If I had the time, money and people to work with I could probably come up with some real world solutions. LTEX is good at this, as proven by the petrol idea. Maybe we need to all meet together for a NLG conference of sorts and work on this stuff. I could use break from the US for a bit. -Fuse

Excellent points Fuse.
Investor money is great, but you need to have a plan to spend it before you get it, and once you have a plan you need to have the gears already in motion so that everything is simply waiting for the money drop. Investors aren't usually going to just throw money your way without an appealing plan which returns their money with a worthwhile profit.

Which is why I say we get together in Amsterdam and discuss all this over a beer or two. -Fuse

I want to keep everyone in the loop that tomorrow we will start the community mining for the next two weeks or so to raise the hashing floor with about 1.5GHs until the update. We raised an awesome 6.3BTC together that will go towards mining collectively. I know some of you only speak English, but you will get the idea when you see the list and the amounts https://forum.guldencoin.com/index.php?topic=765.0If anyone wants to know something, just DM me on here and I will answer any questions, translate stuff for you etc. Cheers.

And we're mining! First collective mining effort has begun, currently at 1.7GH/s but will add some extra hashes as we still have some funds left. Currently waiting on some rigs to become available again (several hours to go) and I will scoop them up. Every rig rented will receive feedback from the Guldencoin Collective – just a little thank you and a sign to other miners that we're here to stay
