I did a standard and tiny national advertising campaign to see how it would do. These are the numbers and a proposal to do it again on a bit larger scale:

Rijk has just moved house but he is doing work for some other projects related to Guldencoin which is why he is quieter then usual.
Geert also working towards dev project for guldencoin but had exceptionally busy period at work.
I believe LTEX has real life issues and will be back.

Dev update:

At this stage first testing for our (Revamp and bug fixes)Multi Algo solution will be starting within the next 2 weeks. So just to confirm testing will also be done on the 0.10 code base which will include features like multi-sig and fast sync.

We first need to test the new solution before we can advise if it's a option. We should know by the end of this month how things are looking.

"Yobit pump alert software" Link in my signature!

Can you PLEASE add POS?? Something like 10% a year would be good, to attract investors, and keep inflation low and protect the chain. Another alternative is 50% a year with a 7 day min stake age (like diamond/dmd) coin. They have been around 2 years with under a million coins with this model.

Vegas

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

So what is coming next for guldencoin ?

New Multi Algo setup , update to code base 0.10 and a new PoS system. Although they seem uncertain if they still going to add PoS.

https://guldencoin.zone/threads/development-feedback.81/
https://guldencoin.zone/threads/multi-algo.100/

There have been numerous cases of PoS "migration" that I suppose, if studied closely, should give us a wealth of data regarding possible issues, both longer and shorter term. There are still a lot of unknowns as well to boot. I've always posed the same question to the subject: "what's the hurry?" POW gets the job done very nicely and has a very respectable lifespan. PoS can always be done, and in good time.

There's an old saying that goes: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".  Wink

I don't think POW can be described as 'not broken' at all. There's thousands of improvements to be made to all aspects of mining. Numerous exploits out there, because people do anything to mine more coins instead of building a worthy ecosystem. The reason all this core-dev is needed is mostly because of potential motherfuckers trying to exploit things.

The one thing keeping us all back is us.

'There's an old saying that goes: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"'

The problem is that if you look below the surface, for all but the very largest coins (bitcoin) the security model of pow (as it currently stands for guldencoin and other similar sized coins) is very much broken.
It may appear 'not broken' to 'regular folk', as nobody has chosen to do any large scale attacks yet, but that doesn't mean that every single pow coin is not a disaster waiting to happen, the more and more mainstream crypto becomes the more likely this is, and when it does happen it will likely not be just one small coin that gets attacked but all of them.

It would be reckless to wait until after a major attack happens to do something about it, at that point it is already much too late, the damage will be done and irreparable.
It is absolutely essential that security issues are sorted out now already, whether the solution be PoS, multi algo, a combination of the two or something else entirely.

Just to echo what MaNI is saying, this next update is basically about securing our blockchain as best as humanly possible. Whatever gets added isn't about gimmicks and marketing it's to make sure we have the best blockchain security of any coin out there. After that the fun starts with real innovative development coming your way with the core and outside the core of guldencoin. We are here to win but in order to win we have to make sure our users have the most secure environment possible because everyones investment in guldencoin is extremely important especially as we infiltrate the mainstream public.
