Guldencoin 2 week average volume is the highest it's been since the coin started. Any reason for the increased activity?

Prices are good at these levels for what the coin offers. People are prepared to buy and sell (multipools) at these rates.

When a total of 1.68 billion coin supply is reached are coins still mined or does it stop at that amount and what do the miners do to keep the blocks being solved if there is no more reward? Also is the total 1.68 billion or 1.7 billion as people have used both amounts in the previous replies.
EDIT: Total coins: 1680M as per the first post so that answers my one question. Is this figure hardcoded into the blockchain?

I found out more information from bitcoin section, when total supply is mined out miners will get transaction fees as reward for mining the blockchain. In 40 years time bitcoin will be doing 1000 fold what it's doing today but for guldencoin will 14 years be enough when all the coins are mined?

I worked out the answers thanks to user fedoracoin, 1680 million coins mined is right for 40 years of mining + 170 million premine which means +-1850 million coins in 40 years for total supply of coins. After that point transaction fees will be rewards for miners. Please correct me if I am wrong. Sorry for the spam, just trying to work things out before investing in the Dutch coins.

Then for every 4 years you divide supply earned by 2. 0- 4 years 840million 4-8 years 420million 8-12 years 210million Add 12 years of mining with premine and you get 1640 million coins, then 40 million more coins to be mined out until 1680 million coins Front page says 1680 million coins mined which works out to 40 years of mined coins excluding premine.

It says maximum 1.7 billion under distribution but 1680 total coins mined. I think they made a mistake and only added the dev premine of 20 million and not the 170 million to make it 1850 million. After 40 years there will be a maximum of 1.7 billion Guldencoins in circulation. 150 million of these have been reserved for Dutch citizens and funding of community projects. Statistics: https://distribution.guldencoin.com. After 16 years only +-110 million coins would be mined to make 1850million, in theory it's not much difference to the whole supply between 14 years and 40 years.

150 seconds for each block is 2.5 minutes a block. 60min/2.5 = 24. 24 block for every hour. 24 * 24(hours) = 576 blocks every day. 576 * 364 = 209 664 blocks yearly. 209 664 * 4 = 838656 blocks every 4 years.
Is the above not correct?

You can't determine exact date for block halving only at 840 000 it will halve. As long as this happen is all investors care about.
