Let me correct your citation Smiley

With Guldencoin something else is going on. Due to the latest software release blockproduction slowed down significantly from 150 seconds per block to 250 seconds per block, as I mentioned before. If this is not repaired it will not be 40 years before Guldencoin reaches a total of 1.7 billion but 67 years. Also the blockreward-halving with take some more time as a result.

is this true?

Now we know where this is coming from.

Some truth used to construct a case for ppl w/o any knowledge about target time, diff calculation and resulting avg. block times.
"Due to the latest software release blockproduction slowed down significantly" is definitely wrong and only shows that he doesn't know anything about the development here at NLG. Sorry bitwise-shifted, you should inform yourself better before making comments like that.
Concentrate on EFL instead of steady pointing fingers at NLG.
NLG is not responsable for raise or fall of EFL, the EFL foundation is.

As someone noted to him before, there is a significant difference if you have a stable hashrate or jump pools on your chain.
With a stable hashrate, even the simpliest diff algo can manage that.
With jump pools steady changing your hashrate to multiples of what it is without them, it is a completely different ball game. Those jump pools are coming in with ALOT of hashrate at a low diff to get some quick blocks and leave as soon as the diff adapts, leaving the chain with high diff and far too low hashrate for that diff. That leads to long block times until the lower hash can finally solve that block with this high diff and the algo can slowly adapt to the lower hash again. And at that point the jump pools are coming back again for more quick blocks, driving the diff high again...
We went trough several diff algos w/o success. Worst day was on May 6 with only 23 blocks solved and the longest block lasting many hours Sad

Our own DELTA diff algo became active on May 17 and improoved the situation reasonable. Even with dramatic drops of hashrate we haven't had a blocktime >90m.
The more dedicated hash we have, the better it works naturally. But even with very low dedicated hash (worst case scenario) it acts like expected and keeps the chain running with limited gaps.

Noone said DELTA was the one and only solution, but it is part of it. A diff algo alone can not solve the situation with jump pools on the chain.
More will come, but not in a rush. Every step has be to seriously thought about and the code tested against every exploid we can think about.
It is not a simple copy&paste job that could be done in a very short time!
Someone been in software development will know what I mean.

Look here http://explorer.cryptoblox.com/chain/Electronic%20Gulden and tell me their block times are that stable. They have shorter and longer times too, like it is normal even with a stable hash and a diff of only 24 - 29. Amazingsystems.nl shows an avg. block time of 1 minute 50 seconds (target is 2 minutes). They are using KGW (window of 512 blocks) as diff algo which is ok for a stable hashrate like they have.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Is there a document describing when / how the premine will be distributed?

First page, first post has many interesting links Wink
https://distribution.guldencoin.com/#/

With not even 2k valid requests and far more tries to cheat, it was decided to stop it and save time and money.
The NLG community is looking for more creative ways to distribute it and/or use it for projects to get more awareness of the coin.
Every coin sent out is documented.

@Dutchyyy not with the payment link or button, as there is no callback function for entrepreneurs to know which order belongs to witch payment. But we are working on that and is coming next.

I might be able to organise some shops when you setup a payment processor. Will the margins be better then litepaid ?
My one request is you don't add other coins in the future.nlg and btc and not all the junk litepaid has.

Nocks won't offer automatic trades to EUR when we for example launch our WooCommerce plugin it will be NLG direct and EUR conversion option to determine price. Business owners will receive NLG and/or BTC directly. What they choose to do with their coins after is their decision. So to be clear once more. Nocks tools will not offer pay outs in EUR to bank accounts for the time being.

Our fees are 1% for cross payments (BTC to NLG and NLG to BTC) and 0.25% for direct payments (BTC to BTC and NLG to NLG).

For EUR margins, people that fill out €10 and want to receive a BTC or NLG equivalent at a live rate will pay as close to the €10 exchange rate as we can manage. So users won't pay €13 for a €10 service.

Dev premine is almost spent https://distribution.guldencoin.com/#/dev-premine but they using crowd funding projects with the rest of premine. Not sure if more premine has been used since feb or Rijk is lazy at updating the page.

Although one day we will all have to thank the premine for the coins low prices because everyone is worried it's going to be dumped. So either in 3 years from now it is going to be case of fuck that guy he dumped the premine or this is one of the coins where the premine wasn't dumped and we benefited because everyone else was too scared to invest 3 years ago. Time will answer this question.

It's been a matter of being busy, not lazy. But yes I have to update the premine stats. Dev premine is almost finished. Then there is still 150mil in cold storage, because we have been using the dev premine for 100 NLG requests also. We will be using the 150mil for community projects but it's not set in stone. The only thing set in stone is that I will never dump it.

Hey Dutchyyy,

I also made a informal post about what Rijk does on our new community forum. It's worth a read. Smiley

This coin seriously Needs better marketing because its very underrated.  Although I am happy no pumps came about on this news which shows nlg is still very much not affected by pump groups. Keep up the great work.

Well done Buerra!

Hi Mates,

we 've add DELTA to LimecoinX. The Delta working nice. The Pools 've trouble.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/21000833/DRK/adsasd.PNG

The first Diff (@Pool) is correct. The second Diff (after 30 minutes without block) is wrong. The wallet show only the first Diff ("getinfo").
In my Solorig only Cgminer shows the correcte on diff.

Diff  = 10  <- Correct @ Aika
no block 1h later = Diff 5 <- NO
no block 2h later = Diff 1 ...

http://aikapool.com/limx/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool

Need the pools special settings?

Hey Christian,

The pools shouldn't need to change anything besides compiling the updated code base, however hopefully one of our pool owners will confirm this is the case or if they had to make changes they didn't mention to us.

The price changes are due to the huge increase in supply, now that more blocks are being generated again, there is nothing really that can be done about that other than to increase demand.

Updating the coin deamon for the pool should be enough. No changes needed for the pool software.
