1. Login to SSH (Password for Wiibox controller: 2.02 or lower "123456" - 2.0.3 or higher "+xTjPR4L%V?=s4-!Ahz3~FXZM^sW:gA_")
2. Upload LAG3355_upgrade_v1.bin to the /tmp directory (on Windows use WinSCP)
3. In SSH enter: "mtd -r write /tmp/LAG3355_upgrade_v1.bin firmware"
4. Wait until it has rebooted
5. See step 5 below
LightningAsic Controller
1. Determine your firmware version, if it is v1 download the v1 upgrade bin (LAG3355_upgrade_v1.bin), v2 and above download the v2 upgrade bin (LAG3355_upgrade_v2.bin)
2. Proceed to the firmware upgrade page on your controller, this is http://your-controller-ip/update.php
3. Browse for either LAG3355_upgrade_v1.bin or LAG3355_upgrade_v2.bin (see step 1) and click on the update button to start updating
4. Wait until the page has stopped loading, if it doesn't automatically reboot you will need to power cycle your controller
5. If all is well you should be presented with another upgrade page at http://your-controller-ip, this is to upload the actual firmware.
6. Browse for LAG3355_12-RC10c.bin and click the update button to start updating
7. See step 4
8. Voila! Enter your pool settings (specify 1 worker only), specify frequency and click on save and you are good to go!

Notes
1. Auto power cycle option will only work if you have connected your controller to an unpowered USB hub.
2. Charts are a bit buggy sometimes, it is recommended to turn it off if you are running with 20 or more miners.
3. Some pools may not play nice with the miner software, then please choose a different pool, such as Ghash.io.

Troubleshooting
To avoid any issues it's best that you are doing the updating process from Chrome and on a Windows 7 PC. Avoid Mac.
Most of the times a cold reboot is required after flashing.
Don't rename any of the bin files, or it will fail to update.
If you can't reach the miners, the DHCP may have assigned a different IP, so please check with your router.
If you still can't find the IP, power cycle the controller and that should fix it.
"Failed to unpack" : try the other upgrade bin
"Image check 'platform_check_image' failed" : try the v1 bin image
"MD5 differs" : corrupted bin or clear your browser cache
Rejected shares? Make sure that you have filled in a single worker, or try a different pool, it may be picky.

I had trouble with the upload not really doing anything. Disabled the miners and it worked very quickly.

So a tip for anyone planing to upgrade, stop the miners by disabling them before proceeding.

Ok. Upgraded now from v1 to v3.

After loading the upgrade from v1 file and the controller rebooting, I got an error "MD5 is not correct" or something like it when trying to upload the RC10 file. I tried it a few more times and it worked.

Looking good right now, setting it up and starting the miners.

Going to let it run for a while before starting to up the frequency per miner.

It looks like whatever happened blew the USB-to-TTL board in each of the miners. Is there a way to reset the TP-link or is probably dead?

Edit: Paperclip in the reset button worked. Still not sure about the stability on these. Anyone else try a non-powered usb with better results?

Edit: Okay, it turns out these bin files are a one time use. You have re-download the file for each controller that you need to flash.

Didn't help. I switched to a standard pool from my P2Pool and it I'm getting no shares submitted.

That's not possible anymore, as it is one miner process that controls the miners, similar to cgminer.

It should work with P2Pool, no reason why it wouldn't... which pool is that? If the job_id from the stratum response is longer than 8 bits it will break though, but I haven't seen that occur yet.

I was mining on the Stateside EMC2 P2Pools prior to updating and it was okay, but now I get 100% rejects (no hardware errors). It's fine with a standard pool though.

Side note...just tried 1050Mhz as an experiment and get 0 submitted shares. Back down to 850 and it's fine again.

If you didn't fill anything there, you should see the placeholder which explains the syntax. Basically it's MinerId=Frequency, seperated by comma's.

I've been tinkering with frequencies and I haven't observed that going very far above 850 yields much benefit. I'm seeing a little bit of an improvement at 880, but not a lot. Certainly going up to 1050 didn't give me anything (actually, no shares at all). I do like that I can now tweak individual units that underperform at higher frequencies, that's nice. I think more than anything, I'm just hopeful that the firmware delivers on the promise of not resetting the bloody things every half an hour. I have been losing so much daily hashrate because of reboots and hangs, it's not even funny.

Most pools dont work properly I only got ghash stable out of 9 diffrent pools. Some pools just wont work at all only rejects, and some have 50% rejects and another has 33% rejects etc. etc.

What pool works then?  Seems odd that I can get full speed out of 4 units, but when I plug in 10 to the hub, I get almost 0.  I would think it was power related had they not been running fine for weeks on v1.

The second and third miner (ACM1 and ACM2) never generate any shares.  I moved them (and their corresponding USB cables) so they became miners 9 and 10 and they worked fine there... however now the ones that did work previously in spots 9 and 10 are now listed as the second and third miners and do not generate any shares.  I tried a new usb hub, but still whatever miners become 2nd and 3rd in the list do not work.  

So whatever miners become logically 2nd and 3rd (ACM1 and ACM2) do not work... they all work in other spots and none work if they are ACM1 or ACM2   I did have a space in the individual frequency settings (8D8A52A45551= 850 instead of 8D8A52A45551=850) and that caused the miner not to start... but after I found that problem and restarted these have not worked... just thought I would mention it... dont know if its related or not.

In the picture below, I have moved 8D8635AF4849 to ACM1 and 8D8A52A4551 to ACM2 and they have not generated any shares... if I move them to any other spot they work fine, but then whatever ones logically become ACM1/ACM2 do not work.

When I enter a pool that is down as primary pool, the hashrate goes down considerably. To like 100-150kh/s per device.

Been running my miners at 850 for some hours now and it looks very stable. Haven't had this stability at all before, usually went 40-50 mins before restarting them all.

Mail me the controller if you want it fixed, you pay for shipping + I will repair it for free. If you live outside Europe it may just be cheaper to buy a new one.

Maybe it's just me but the LightningAsic controller won't go much past 850 clock for me. The hash rate on the L.A. Controller is all over the shop in the U.I. so I'm using the hash rate at my pool (CoinShift) and it is reported in the 2900-3000 KHs range.  Using CGMiner with the gridseed drivers and individual clock settings from https://github.com/girnyau/cgminer-gc3355 I'm getting in the 3900-4000Khs range with an inconsequential number of hardware errors.  I will at some point set up individual frequencies on the miners and see what happens.  Don't want to lose 1Mhs for any extended length of time whilst trying for ROI on these units.

EDIT:
Just set the clock rates in L.A. Controller to be the same as the ones in CGminer and I'm getting 2700-2900 KHs

Have you tried invdividually lowing the speeds of each of those miners to 825 or 800 to see if that fixes it? Or, even 750?  I found lowering the speed slightly can get problematic miners to kick in quicker.

I started the upgrade this morning based on the other information from the longer 97 page thread.  I had already started the process when I saw this thread and so I was a little worried about potential issues since I was past the point of no return.

Thankfully, the upgrade went smoothly and I have had no issues with mining pools.  The new interface/firmware feels a lot more responsive, and I'm certainly excited to not have to baby sit them anymore considering the dead units will automatically restart.

Doesn't work for me.  My 6MH/s suddenly turned into 0.3MH/s no matter which frequency/pool I use or how many times I restart them.  I strongly recommend that people do not upgrade at this time.

I've tried a few different pools now.  It doesn't seem to be pool related.  Interestingly, if I only have a couple miners plugged into each hub, it seems to work.  I'm playing plugging/unplugging games right now to see how many I can get working at once.  So far I can't get more than 4 working with a single controller/hub.

It's obviously pool related, we had no problems testing with 40+ units.

What pool works then?  Seems odd that I can get full speed out of 4 units, but when I plug in 10 to the hub, I get almost 0.  I would think it was power related had they not been running fine for weeks on v1.

speeds are just a bit better, but thats because , so far, miners didnt disappear from panel no more.

I have been able to fix all the issues aforementioned, been testing on Ghash.io and it does the job perfectly now. I have also fixed some performance issues with the miner software, it should be about 10-20 kh/s/miner faster. Also the memory consumption is further reduced, so it is possible to run more than 50 units.
Waiting for Jack to respond so it can be released.

I had the same problem. you need to delete the upgrade file and redownload it. It can only be used once and then does not work.

Maybe a hard reset for the miners and TP-link would help. I was getting a similar problem when it would restart every 5 minutes. It went away when I backed off to 850 from 887. You can also try changing the interval for the 'Restart dead miner' setting.

A hard reset was the first thing I did.  I'm already running at 850 and the controller is reporting a decent accept rate.  Currently it's showing that it's been hashing away just fine for over an hour.  Quite a difference from what the above link is showing.  The disconnect is concerning.  I guess I'll keep doing hard resets and hope one of them solves the issue.

Works with most, if not all other pools. Reject rate significantly lowered, effective hashrate should be increased by 10-20kh/s/miner. Memory comsumption is lower, which makes it possible to run up to 50 miners.
Some other speed optimizations have been implemented.

Confirmed that it is working for me on GHash.IO which did not work with the prior version.  I was able to install with no issues.

I've also fine tuned my miners individually with the highest frequency that gave off no HW errors and am now getting ~7.6MH/s with 21 miners.  Thought the results might be interesting to some.  

EDIT: Had to lower the frequencies a bit after 12 hours of mining to eliminate HW errors.  Now getting ~7.2MH/s with 21 miners.

Have you tried resetting it with a paperclip? I had some luck when one of my controllers was stuck on a white screen.

That's a strange one, but clearing your browser cache should fix that.

Right, it seems that www.lightningasic.com is under some sort of maintenance. Hence the text file containing info on the firmware bins is temporarely unaccessible.  http://www.lightningasic.com/firmware/md5/md5.txt, which is what the firmware is looking for to match.

my reason is, that MR3020 can be bought at local stores in europe

The original V3 is even buggier than the old V1 and firmware, those at least hash all at some point until they need rebooting (within 60m), with V3 i get maybe 4 units hashing, then 2, etc.

Have upgraded to V10c and I like it esp the miner log screen   Problem is with my VARDIFF pool coinshift.com the LA connects to it gets work and hashes at difficulty 256 for a few minutes but once the difficulty jumps it jumps to 3200 and stays there With CGMiner my diffs change up and down proportional to shares/sec.  Is this a case of another pool that the LA doesn't like?

It changes to whatever diff the stratum pool is at, this was done to reduce the reject rate on a number of pools, primarily Ghash.io, because when the stratum tells you to change the diff but doesn't assign a new job, it's causing a flood of rejects. We're trying to keep the reject rate as low as possible, even when that means that some pools may not work properly as a result of that, there are many pools you can choose from.

That's nothing to worry about, I would actually ignore HW errors unless they affect your hashing rate.

If you have the first version of a V3, try a LTC pool. I have one on V3c and one on V3. The V3c is running better but both work fine at 850. Don't try to adjust individual miners with the first version of V3, it starts spewing stale shares and rejects. Do a hard reset and it should work fine on a straight LTC pool at 512 dif.

I am pretty sure it is a different hardware setup and it will not work with this firmware. I still like the original wiibox controllers (up to 2.1.2). You just need to overclock them to 850. They can still dual mine BTC at roughly 100gh SHA and 3000-3100kh scrypt per 10 miners.

I have successfully flashed a wiibox using the directions in the OP and the following software (Win7)

Download WinSCPPortableApp http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/winscp_portable

Log in to your wiibox as "SCP" and enter "root" for the username.

The password is either

2.02 or lower "123456"

2.0.3 or higher "+xTjPR4L%V?=s4-!Ahz3~FXZM^sW:gA_"

Then copy over the V1 upgrade image to the root directory and launch a terminal window within WinSCP (or use putty.exe to SSH in). Type "mtd -r write LAG3355_upgrade_v1.bin firmware" and click execute.

It will freeze and need a hard reset. Then you will be assigned a new ip address by your router.

Type in the new address in a Chrome 'incognito' session and upgrade to the V3c firmware. Walla!

It can handle up to 50 miners, we have tested that ourselves, and there is a screenshot of that somewhere in the LA main thread. The wiibox controller could probably handle double of that.

The wiibox controllers have double (64MB) the RAM, so yes. It still would be interesting to see anyone attempt to hook up 100 miners on a wiibox, we haven't had the chance to push the firmware to the limit yet, since the 32MB on the 703N was holding that back.

Any chance you could enable API listen support?  Those of us using Rig Leasing services really benefit from being able to accurately report hashrates directly from the miner instead of relying on pool based statistics!

Things are running great on my RPi so i'm definitely a low priority, but it seems like you're making great strides in the original LA hardware performance and i'm considering a switch back.

With this update, it is possible to run some of your miners at 925MHz without hardware errors.

• Added Auto Overclocking: automatically finds the best frequency for each individual chip, and adjust it accordingly. The number after the '@' sign indicates the chip_id
• Fixed a bug with delayed work dispatching, this should further decrease reject rate
• Disabled FIFO

As always, a cold reboot might be necessary after updating.

To elaborate a bit on how the auto overclocking works, if the chip has hashed for over 600s it will attempt to change the frequency. If there is more than 1 HW error or if the current hashrate is less than the previous hashrate (after that 600s period), it will decrease the frequency, otherwise increase it. It will stop adjusting if the frequency has been decreased atleast once, so make sure to pick a low enough frequency to start with. The frequency adjusts in steps of 25MHz, I have found this to give the most stable results while overclocking, and it also makes sense if you look at how the frequency is calculated from the PLL variables.

You can upgrade directly from v3, if you see the new option "Auto Overclocking" means that it succeeded.

If there is enough space to add it... auto overclocking tunes each chip seperately, so a miner may be running at different frequencies.

As I said before, the problem is that lightningasic.com is currently down. The firmware checks with http://www.lightningasic.com/firmware/md5/md5.txt and tries to match the md5 of the uploaded file. If it can't connect then there is nothing to match and it times out. I've notified Jack.

Two questions.
1) Why can't I ssh into the controller after I updated the software?
2) Why can't I add worker names for the backup pools?
3) Goes with 1) I want to ssh to add wifi support back as the tp-link that I have has been modded with more flash memory and has more space for files.

It should work with P2Pool, no reason why it wouldn't... which pool is that? If the job_id from the stratum response is longer than 8 bits it will break though, but I haven't seen that occur yet.

Same here, mining to p2pool doesn't seem to work correctly. I tried my own pool (ltc.chelloo.com) but it never shows up in the active miners or graphs.

I am glad it is working well for you, the auto overclocking algoritm still needs some finetuning but it seems to be increasing the overall hashrate for most.

It looks like it worked fine. Try a hard reset.

Also, open an 'incognito' browser in Chrome instead of a regular browser.

Try the V1 image. It might throw up some more error messages but give it some time before either it auto reboots or you gotta reboot it.

I understand, just wish there was a way for me to enable wifi since I have enough memory on my TP-link to do so.  Will the auto freq would with volt modded units or is it only for stock ones.  Whats the ETA on the next update with separate worker names.  After that I will have every feature I need.  Very good job too, I will donate soon for the work you put in.

I get what you're at, LightningAsic firmware will be fully open source pretty soon, someone just needs to convince Jack besides me.
Anyway, yes auto overclocking will work with any unit, in fact, some units are happily hashing at 925MHz with no hardware mods whatsoever.
No ETA on the next update, I will release it whenever I'm motivated enough to put enough work into it to call it a release.  

Another thing I'd like to bring up and make sure that people understand, it's directed at everyone using the auto overclocking feature, or isn't... HW errors! as long as the hashrate isn't lower than it's supposed to be, why should you care when the units occasionally like to throw HW errors? Some people get erratic about it and think that it might cause the chip to deteriorate long term (not true AFAIK), but the only thing that matters when mining is your pool's hashrate (which is why I opted to display that, instead of the 'real' hashrate) and it's what you will be earning. My point is, that it will never be mining at a frequency that will make you profit less.

I have read ALOT on these miners,but the info has been conflicting....setup guides only mention LTC in most cases & I've seen a lot of different mining software.

Hence why I asked my stupid question    Thanks for your answer!!

I've done both mods, the R52 47k resistor on some and the double bridge mod on others.  The 47k are averaging around 480-500 khs at 1150, and the double bridge mod at 403khs reliably.  The 47k will cost you about 10 more watts with one unit running at about 20 watts, the double bridge is about 11 watts.  Later this week I will mod them all with the 47k.

Anyways just to let you guys know. I have successfully used the serial TTL and terminal + TFTP method to restore a bricked controller. Upload the v1 image in 1st and then from there the actual V3 firmware itself. If you get stuck doing that, do post where you are at.

Thanks just did a reset and plugged it into the router , then had to dig about in my router settings - darn thing doesnt support openwrt  - through process of elimation manage to find it, its now uploading the firmware oohhhh

any chance of being able to change the time zone? would be really nice and alot more convient to have the local time zone.
And i think itd be reasonable - especailly as it contected to the net, to be able to change the login details. in fact have a login fullstop. someone starts probing the networks and itll only be a sort time before someone gains access to the tp link or whatever else, you come back to find your mining for someone else!

its not running! only the green led lights up, the red doesnt flash at all. pool hash rate shows zero to.
the miner log is empty. nothing zip nada zizch.

Yes you could.

Seems like the miner process is constantly killing itself. Make sure that a single worker name and password is correctly filled in.

Damn it, I was just going to put it into failsafe mode to telnet and allow root access and ssh among other upgrades I want to play with.  I have sent a PM to Asiabtc inquiring and politely demanding root access.  I really would like to turn wifi back on and update the code to allow different worker names with the pools.

Sandor111, I have gone through the github source you posted but can not see any code referring to the autoclocking and other features that I would love to understand more.  I take it that that is just the stock cpuminer source that gridseed released two months ago?

If you have a backup OpenWrt image for the Wiibox, I can upload that so it can be reverted.
I'm not sure about Wiibox controller, but I think it uses the standard cpuminer from Gridseed, without any speed/memory optimizations or mods.

ATM I'm working on a minimal JSON API for cpuminer, this will allow you to check the stats of your Gridseed miners without accessing the web interface.

Would be great if someone figures out a way to upgrade or downgrade (to V1/V2) with units that have the failed to unpack message, without having to mod them.
Especially, since i don't own a computer with a com/serial port and my soldering skils are so so..

I have 3 units, 2 original that are stuck on the first V3, and one replacement from Jack (received 2, but one of them burned out about an hour after connecting the USB hub to it.. It doesn't bootup, dispay anything.. Dead.)

While i have trouble getting it to receive a constant speed on Wafflepool (300-2,6MH/s for 10 units), i'd like to experiment a bit.. Have an extra 10 units to test, while my main are connected to a PC (getting 3MH/s+ constant)

Please give us root access to the controller.  You could be receiving free coding by opening this up, its very frustrating that you insist the firmware be closed source.  Sandor111 even agrees that the software should be open.  Sandor111 has done a fantastic job with the new firmware but there is still holes that need to be filled, IE: worker names ( not all the pools I mine on have the same worker name for security reasons) but with V3 I have to make all three pools worker names the same.  Also wifi, some of us have modded the controllers memory fron 4mb to higher and have the space to add wifi back but cannot. 

 I reiterate please for your customers open the firmware up, it is built on top of open source software and is only right to give us root access to the controller.

Not really. One pool is enough, however it will cycle through the pool URLs if it can't connect to one.

If you have a backup OpenWrt image for the Wiibox, I can upload that so it can be reverted.
I'm not sure about Wiibox controller, but I think it uses the standard cpuminer from Gridseed, without any speed/memory optimizations or mods.

ATM I'm working on a minimal JSON API for cpuminer, this will allow you to check the stats of your Gridseed miners without accessing the web interface.

You can try to import this backup to a wiibox. No warranty that it works.

So i got a new TP-Link WR703N in the mail and tried to figure out how to flash it with the LA firmware..

Its ended up with the unit flashing for around 12 secs, then having the LED off for 4-5 secs and finishing having the blue LED on constantly after.

Anyone have any ideas?

TP Link has many advantages over the Pi:

- can restart your miners, Pi would need a script and relais
- less than half the price (15-25$ WR703N vs 30$ for bulk Pi)
- already with Case, has Wifi and comes with USB cable and Wallwart
- no SD card needed and commandline-tinkering for network setup
- smaller and you dont feel like wasting overkill features like with a Pi

but i wonder, why dont someone just build a LuCI GUI for cgminer and slap it on generic OpenWRT

So i dont know where to connect it.

I had the same problem. It turns out after flashing the first image the WR703N looses it's network settings completely and reverts back to DHCP.
To make it worse needed two or three fresh power-cycles before the web UI came up to flash the 2nd stage firmware.

Youre not opening it because you are hiding something.

What i did exactly was (prolly stupid) to try and flash fromthe chinese stock firmware to the english one of the TL-WR703N (according to this guilde: http://wr703n.blogspot.com/ )

That all worked fine. But then i couldnt install the LA firmware, so thought i needed to go to openwrt or so. Then i tried to revert to the stock firmware - as per the same guide.

Which has ended up with the previously mentioned result..

What you want to do is flash directly to the v1 bin from the Chinese firmware, Jack has done it thousands of times and it works.

so i put both miner psu and controller wallwart on a switchable multi outlet

A few UART Write errors in the log then auto restart. I have it set to restart dead miners on 5 mins, it loops until it stabilizes. I have auto overclock on but it also did with v1. Hub is powered, it's the one that was included in the LA3M.

The other 10 miners are still on LA controler version 1.0 and working OKayish on 850Mhz (10 miners @ 3300-3400 Kh).

I care but I understand why they are doing it this way, just wish their choice was different.  It is the most stable solution I have found for running these things though.  Just wish the code could be verified and would like to have the ability to fix things and customize on my own time frame.  Sadly I'll have to wait to use it again when its decided to open it up.  Sandor111 did a great job turning around the original version hack job, to what it is now and for that I commend him.

So i got a new TP-Link WR703N in the mail and tried to figure out how to flash it with the LA firmware..

Its ended up with the unit flashing for around 12 secs, then having the LED off for 4-5 secs and finishing having the blue LED on constantly after.

Anyone have any ideas?

I had the same problem. It turns out after flashing the first image the WR703N looses it's network settings completely and reverts back to DHCP.
To make it worse needed two or three fresh power-cycles before the web UI came up to flash the 2nd stage firmware.

What i did exactly was (prolly stupid) to try and flash fromthe chinese stock firmware to the english one of the TL-WR703N (according to this guilde: http://wr703n.blogspot.com/ )

That all worked fine. But then i couldnt install the LA firmware, so thought i needed to go to openwrt or so. Then i tried to revert to the stock firmware - as per the same guide.

Which has ended up with the previously mentioned result..

What you want to do is flash directly to the v1 bin from the Chinese firmware, Jack has done it thousands of times and it works.

Yeah, trying to get around to that, just gotta get through to the webinterface of the router now

- Wafflepool: On v1 worked great with freq=850 and hashrate @ about 3400kh/s. Now on v3 I get 70+% rejects and if I get lucky around 1000kh/s
- Coinshift: same problem

I have tried everything (power cycling 10+ times, frequency anywhere from 700-900 and running only one of 10 units connected to the controller). The problem is always there...

Does anyone know how to downgrade to v1 or fix this problem on v3?

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!!!

It should work on Rpi, but I haven't tested it yet.

Firmware update will follow shortly, I have managed to pack php5 into the new firmware image, which means that the web interface will be MUCH faster and more responsive.
I have added mining stats for each individual GC3355 chip as well, there will be a button next to each device to expand the stats so it doesn't clutter the whole interface.

It is beyond my comprehension that users are willing to run hardware on their local network knowing someone else (unknown) has root access to the device. Especially inside the world of digital currencies. Why risk it? Use rasp pi and feel safe in the knowledge that you are in control. The modified mining software used in this binary is on github.

No one has root access to the device, stop making things up.  Feel free to run a network sniffer to confirm.

Maybe someone can try to change the root pw, activate ssh and create a new backup by a ttl adapter:

SSH is disabled and serial console is disabled.

It never worked on Clevermining though. Unless if I use the original 1.0 version on LA TP-703n

I've found my problem on this firmware
One of moded miner's chip doesn't work.(GC3355 #1)
That's why, I got 410K @1200Mz
I compared with win7(cgminer) on pool(ltc.ghash.io) side.
win7 hash rate is 70K more.
cgminer shows almost 490K @1150Mz
v3e shows almost 390K @1150hz

Some has any idea? or recommend fix this problem

You should try this on a fresh Raspbian image, that would be easier.

I upgraded 2pcs LA controller V1 and 4pcs LA controller V2 successfully. No bricks.

Some of the V2 controllers needed to use the V1 'prep' firmware before upgrading, but obviously i tried V2 first and when that failed i successfully used V1. None of them needed to be power cycled - they all rebooted themselves after a little while.

I am now running 10 units per controller with each 10 on a single 12V USB hub (supplied by Jack with the kit)

I've started at 800MHz on auto tune - lets see how it goes!!

Looking forward to a future fw update that will control the individual chip frequencies!!

I believe he means the option to set the frequency specific to a chip, which I have yet to implement.

do you have SSH on your Router?
put a webserver on your pc holding that file
and map the ip to their domain in the hosts file

So I went out and bought a brand new WR703n.... Flashed it with the v1 upgrade file in the chinese version browser... It flashed fine...

Now when i go flash the new G file, it says file not found??

I am using ubuntu 14.04 on chrome browser...

I I finally found a way to back to openwrt(not wiibox orignal firmware).

willbox controller is  Similar to GL.inet product.

1. go to failsafe mode : push reset button and power on until two led on(not blinking)
   (read this : http://www.gl-inet.com/w/?p=371&lang=en)
2. use netconsole(nc.exe) to connect 192.168.1.1 (you can do this using serial to usb adapter)
3. type httpd
4. connect 192.168.1.1 by chrome browser(not IE)
5. upload firmware and flash( http://www.gl-inet.com/firmware/v1/openwrt-gl-1.071.bin)
6. after reboot you can connect 192.168.8.1 by wifi and do initial setup

Ethernet port is Wan port.
If you want to connect Ethernet port, you have to open firewall by editing /etc/config/firewall.

LA Firmware is SUCKS!!!!
It doesn't work with many pool(waffle, nicehash, most single pool, etc)
Only work with some pool(ipominer, ghash/ltc, multipool.us, etc)

He don't offer revert method, open ssh, root password.

I think this firmware has to remove on open community!!!!!

Seems like Sandor111 has patched CPUminer to work with nicehash. Hopefully the next firmware revision for these TPlink controllers will include that as well.

It appears that flashing the WiiBox sets the MAC address of the network ports to 0C:82:68:DD:E1:18. Just did this to 2 units and now can't use them connected to the same network. Anyone have a solution to changing the MAC address of the device or an I going to have to start VLAN'ing my switch and setting each WiiBox up on a separate network?
