Hi, Just to clarify today's situation: during the USA location downtime, no funds were lost. Orders from buyers were simply on pause and miners/rigs from providers/sellers which were pointed to USA stratum during the downtime, were hashing on the miners/rigs backup pools (always make sure to have configured a backup pool, we also suggest combination of USA/EU or EU/USA NiceHash location for backup). Once again, sorry for the service downtime, we're working hard to keep our infrastructure on high uptime, but sometimes unexpected issues simply can't be resolved instantly. Thank you for using our service and keep on mining! ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Best regards, NiceHash team. THEY WERE NOT ON PAUSEplease explain the following!!! I emailed you at 7:45am EST, notifying you that my order was being reported as running at 1ph, I was paying for it, and nothing was being reported at the pool. Then you claim it was paused. Take a look at the attached images, I want 4 hours of hashtime back as it was unaccounted for or my btc refunded! http://imgur.com/a/4Kb7hI recommend all renters to stop renting immediately at nicehash until this gets fixed!

I dont mind not being paid(downtime is expected) but what i thought was alarming was that the users still reported losing btc as if they were still receiving the hash they rented.. Appreciate you being on top of it.. Looking forward to an ethereum update on your nicehashminer.. I like the ease of program.. set it and forget it. Ive been snatching up as many gpu as i can off ebay. Once ether is no longer mineable will go back to the niceminer with my rigs:) Thanks again Best Regards d57heinz

Looks like mine failed over aswell. Graph was def confusing. I usually dont check my miners unless i see them offline. @nicehash.. do you have an email service that lets miners know if their rigs are offline or not being rented? If not what are people using to monitor their rigs for uptime other than checking the site from time to time. Best Regards d57heinz

Currently not, but we're working on an advanced system, that will let you monitor your rigs via email, SMS messages, twitter notifications, etc. We'll announce once we'll have it finished, stay tuned! Best regards, NiceHash team.

I just was emailed back, I will be sending them the total shares submitted for the duration of the rental once it is completed. I am hoping they will reimburse my btc or replenish the rental to complete to the total amount of shares that should have been submitted for the duration of my rental.

you should have done one more from nicehash as my multiple screen shots clearly show btc was not dropping. but if you attempted a cancellation and were failed like me then started back like me you still have a complaint since he failed to cancel order. I simply would have moved the coin from the frozen westhash orders to the active nicehash orders. But the cancel was frozen and then started back and while I sit on this pc for hours I was offline when he fired back up. So I was denied my cancellation. I will take a shot at my issues. A) they seem to have paused the two westhash rentals I have screen shot evidence that my btc did not lower. B) my issue is very simple you (Nice-West hash) failed to cancel these two orders I tried over and over and over to cancel them and use the money on my working nice hash rentals. C) eventually the orders started back up and spent the coin D) therefore you owe me 0.01177826 since you did not allow me to cancel them E) anyone you did not cancel that tried to cancel you failed them when you did the restart. As you failed to allow their cancellation option. F) So while you did not wrong people of hash power you wronged them of cancel option. G) to me 0.01177826 is not much but to some maybe the loss of cancellation option was more costly. H) you never should have started the mining back up while pause no one lost any btc. but to all of us that wanted to cancel and not mine their coin you lost it on us when you fired system back up. I) you may say but the hash was not lost, well yeah but I had 3 orders at nicehash 2 were with the same pools but the third was a different pool and you did not let me cancel and roll coin to that one. J) BTW the 0.01177826 would be 0.01213161 once the 3% fee is added back note time and btc total 7:11 am EST btc was 0.00643548 on one and 0.00534278 ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FSgnwbbR.png&t=663&c=p5g0VQOHqPzFbQ) note time and btc total 8:49 am EST btc is the same 0.00643548 and 0.00534278 ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FXTIwsge.png&t=663&c=gK-KJc4wBkbQxg)

What would you expect to see on the nicehash order page under Active & Alive if the order was paused?

If it was paused it either wouldve stopped deducting btc or it wouldve shown no active miners at the pool. What the screenshot doesnt show, is at the bottom, it was showing the amount of active connections at the pool and the amount of hash we were paying for.

with one screen shot you have nothing. once again you lost the chance to cancel and he started you back up with out allowing you a chance to cancel. It is still a wrong but not what you think look at my two screen shots the btc stayed the same. I want a refund from him as I would have put that coin into my nicehash orders. So he owes me coin. One of the reasons I am here on nicehash westhash renting is that i can cancel an order. I cancel orders a lot. look at all my cancels below ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Fm4fBU6k.png&t=663&c=hYQS7oeCaQojxg) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FFbZUxPi.png&t=663&c=lGg_foIGSvtUHw)

My order is wrapping up now, so I will calculate the amount of shared we should have contributed vs what was actually received and get back.

if you don't mind the lack of ability to cancel you probably lost nothing. For me I would have pointed the the nicehash pool that was running. Frankly the money involved is 0.0121 btc not much. who knows I could be better off that he did the restarted rathe then let me cancel. In the future when he freezes a rental he should not start it without notice.

Now that the order just completed and the total shares submitted are 9.2billion shares, after doing the math, that seems about right for the rates paid. You’re front end really made it appear that we were still paying for 1ph from 6am-10am when it appears we were not. In the future, to avoid freak outs like this, you should enable a paused notification, just the same way a dead notification shows on your rental for periods of no activity. Maybe instead of the red for dead, a yellow for paused and not paying.

Yeah once you pause the order you need realize since we can't cancel it you could do us harm. Like I said my amount of coin was 0.0121 but if I cancelled like I tried to do and you did not do for me. The switch would have been to nicehash on this pool So your failure on westhash to allow the cancel compounded by your restart of the pause kept me from having more hashpower here. As you can see from the red hot stats below I am annoyed at what you did. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FOy1rEf7.png&t=663&c=mDHsjRHAuJqEEQ)

How do I buy Ethereum mining? I've used NiceHash in the past for Scrypt coins and it was easy: Create an account at a pool, find the required mining information for the pool, enter that info on NiceHash when buying and let it roll. I'd like to mine some Ethereum in this manner too but damn if I'm not confused right now on how to go about doing that in an easy way like I remember... ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Some guidance would be much appreciated.

Is there a way to properly prove if the deductions for rentals was REALLY paused or not? I was away and could not check in detail, but my wallet is a LOT lighter after the westhash mess from yesterday.
All my rentals said they were hashing, but nothing showed at the pools.
ps. I think westhash is doing it again..

The feature for mining Ethereum is currently only for sellers/providers (miners), and not for buying Ethereum based hashing power.
