“Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful” ~ Warren Buffett
I am going to add just a little more. As I think about PND, too much has been accomplished developmentally for The Team to just pack it all in and leave. It's not The Team I've come to know. That's just a no-brainer for me. It does not make any sense. I realize I'm the eternal optimist. And, things are pretty hairy out there, but what the hell? Maybe it's just a way to rid ourselves of the roller coaster once and for all. Let's get all the p & d outa' the way early. Then, when the dust settles, we begin the upward trend toward nirvana, and donacid's 14 SAT purchases will look like the ultimate steal.

Now we know that the PND is the same (scam) coim as the PAND, PANDA etc.
I don't think you know what scam means Strange how some people fail to pop in when price is rising, and then when it dips, they're all over the place. Don't you have better things to do?

I do not mean this with any disrespect whatsoever, but I fully believe those of us who hang tough and have patience will have the last laugh. Cryptocurrency itself, not to mention PND, is still brand-spanking new. You are in at the ground floor, right where everybody always dreams of being.

Did anyone succeed to compile PandaBank v3.0.2 for Linux? If "Yes", on what distro and which were the (bear)traps/steps? Also, is there anyone who can read the PandaBank code efficiently (a programmer, obviously) and maybe find a workaround this issue?
As for the FUD... it's always here, in crypto-land. We just have to get on the constructive side of things one way or another.

As a sidenote, the faucet on 1dash.net/faucet is back up. The problem was that the poor machine where the site is hosted is full, and could not handle the wallet (the wallet for the faucet is separate from the one for the donations for security reasons), so it'd just keep crashing. I'd restart it at times, but never got around to actually fixing it. Now it's done. Please let me know if there are any issues. The wallet is still syncing, so give it some time (don't know if I can set a headless wallet to do hybrid). http://1dash.net/faucetrmd73: I've only done headless deamons on linux, so I can't help on this one. But with the headless I've found out the hard way that the source READMEs were the first place I should have checked.

I just compiled it on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS with no dramas. Steps I took. 1) Open terminal 2) cd ~/ && git clone https://github.com/pandacoin-official/pandacoin.git3) sudo apt-get install qt5-default qt5-qmake qtbase5-dev-tools qttools5-dev-tools build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev libssl-dev libdb++-dev (wait for dependencies to finish building). 4) cd ~/pandacoin && qmake && make (wait for client to build). 5) Run ./pandacoin-qt in the pandacoin folder and it should load the GUI client. 6) Profit **Edited to correct dependency syntax***

I just happened to have a VM with 14.04 installed already so was able to test against that. Theoretically you could also install the latest client on 12.10 tho you'd have to either find updated packages from the repo to satisfy the use of the newer boost and I'm sure other dependencies, or build entirely from source, which can be a lengthy PITA. Starting fresh would probably be the better option if you didn't want to muck around too much with versioning and lengthy build times.

I feel a Little sad for donacid, they choosed the guy who invested a lot at 14sat and now he is the one on the front to defend all concerns as a good believer but it Looks like that they don`t feed him with actual Infos about the coin and the Team. Its the same scheme like other devs used to practice and we have to be honest with our selves that we calles all this other coins scam and so on. Nobody said that it is necessary that someone from the active devs Shows up daily but I can read a lot of questions from members of the community back the last 10-20 sites that are never answered in a serious way and seems not like to conern our devs. Even not the op is actualized, ozzke ist still listed like many others we never heard a single word since months. To be honest I knew that something is not fine anymore when I saw manelecryptos tweet to ozzke where she was tweeting that only they and the devs will know when it is time to dump and thats what they did so far and then leaved or can you see any Support since then? before it was daily. So please somebody from the official side make a Statement whats the Roadmap and who is still active member and developing new stuff. Donacid and pelegron98 I appreciate your work to Keep the thread alive but I think you both have not enough Infos to answer this questions. Also if everybody has his own reallife what we all respect, there should be 20minuts left of there time to give the community a Signal.
Please Dev Team give us a Signal even if it is that you quit developing. Donacid or pelegron98 can you please contact them and then tell us what you got answered from "them"?

same old story. most people have no concept of true freedom, self-sufficiency, personal responsibility and accountability. why crypto? b/c banks control value of money and can render your expended energy moot, should it be their whim.
actually, the truth is we don't need money. this is why it isn't found in nature.
but we're not there yet, because the imagination of many is next to nil.
they can conceive of no other way.
crypto is a step in the direction of greater freedom, tho.
but the world, in general, must learn more about who they really are and who really is benefiting from their ignorance and cowardice.
stop supporting your own domination.
say "NO!" and come up with alternative solutions that are more deserving of your support.
like how PND overcame wolong's coin.

They are still working, they just don't have breaking news to share atm. The last release was about 10 days ago, so what do you expect? You should visit the IRC channel sometimes, there's more activity than here. You can also ask the Devs personally there.

I was a little worried myself, but all it took was popping in the IRC to find amDOGE (the lead, the account here is pandacoin-official) on as usual. I think that maybe we got a little too used to ozzke always being all over the place, he started each page with news/reminders and was generally awesome, and now that he's not around much, well his absence is quite noticable. But the team is alive and well. They've always worked behind the scenes, and have never been the hype type (well maybe ozzke, a little). The developments are going on as usual, and the recent release of pndproject is proof of that (I think that since has not recieved the love it should yet). Obiously not everyone can be devving 110% all of the time, else there is risk of burnout, and having periods of no news in kinda natural tl;dr: The dev team is alive and well, just there's no news to report.

I personally wasn't expecting or demanding anything that the devs can't provide and I do acknowledge that they cannot be everywhere every time. And yes no news to report is natural at times, it would be unfair to expect that there is something new to report every time someone from the dev team posts something. I suppose I just wanted some form of confirmation that the devs are still there which no one has been able to provide until now. In any case I'm happy to know that everything is well. And yes I'm still buying. Cheers! EDIT: Oh and I did pop in to IRC yesterday and posted that question... didn't get a reply, or maybe I just didn't stick around long enough

IRC is a hit-or-miss at times, eg. yesterday as soon as I logged in I got in touch with amDOGE, while two other times recently she was afk. Timezones and shit, probably.
